Eternally Yours #4

Demonic and Deserted

Rate this book
We’ve all heard of wedding day disasters, like when a jealous ex-lover crashes the ceremony and causes a scene or the photographer cancels at the last minute.

Now let me tell you about my wedding day—the day thousands of demonic spiders chased my fiancé and me off the elevator and into the Devil’s den. And don’t get me started on hellacious honeymoons. I spent the night shaking horny Monkey Hitler off my leg.

Instead of sipping margaritas on a sunny beach with a rock on my finger and the man of my dreams beside me, I’m demonic and deserted, stuck inside Hell’s Hotel with a bad case of fleas, praying our sadistic host doesn’t throw us out.

To say my wedding day was a disaster would have to be the understatement of the millennium. I just hope our friends can save us before it’s too late, because that squirming thing on my fork definitely doesn’t taste like chicken, and I forgot to pack my SPF 10,000 sunblock.

From chain and balls to eternity, one trip to negative digit gave another meaning to the whole wedding vow and all those decoration from level 10.
We are back with Ash and Aedan, both did have great plan for us, just another big step into their eternal death life in positive level after being kick back into a few levels back.
What to expect, life or even after life doesn't spare any breath for them, luckily for us more to read.
There we get to meet the opposite of penthouse, was it really the opposite? Charming, seductive, a tad pervert with a lot of animosity?
Ash being Ash was just a character on her own. Sweet, fun, loyal to the core. Yup, she picked up loyalty just right.
Surprise? Yes, more characters, always but more involvement of a few, a little story of their own. Just perfectly sweet.
How did it end? Just perfect! Yup, luckily for me being behind so book 5 is next to me. But don't worry, it ended just right, just perfectly!

DELICIOUSLY CUTE, FABULOUSLY FUNNY AND DIVINELY ENTERTAINING !!!
Title: Demonic and Deserted
Series: Eternally Yours
Author: Tara West
Designation: Book Four of Series, Full Length Novel,
Reading Platform: Kindle Edition
My Rating: FIVE DIVINELY ENTERTAINING STARS*****
Heaven can't wait and neither can I.... to read more by Tara West! OH MY GLORY! What a divinely entertaining read! Demonic and Deserted is the fourth release in the Eternally Yours Series by Tara West and she totally rocked my world - AGAIN! I loved, loved, loved Demonic and Deserted! I'm officially a fan for life! West's unique style, vivid imagination and highly addictive prose hooked me right out of the gate. By the time I hit page three of the first book of the Series, Divine and Dateless, I knew I'd struck gold with Tara West and the Eternally Yours Series. I immediately raced back to Amazon to see if there were other books in the series. And JACKPOT - I discovered a total of four books already available in the series! And the icing on the cake.... they're all available under the Kindle Unlimited program. SWEET! And they just get better and better! Although, each book could probably be read as a standalone since the author does give ample backstory, I personally would recommend reading them in order. Each release features a different adventure with many of the same characters as well as a few new additions, but....there is an overall underlying interconnected story arc that continues throughout the series. Each book does end with what I like to call a happy for now with an insinuation of please stay tuned, there's more to come. Personally, I hope Tara West continues to write these books FOREVER! As long as she writes them, I'll keep reading them! And yes, they're that good!

But I digress, let's talk about this book. Demonic and Deserted is a well crafted, well edited, wonderfully imaginative, fast paced, full-length standalone supernatural tale filled to the brim with spellbinding fantasy, laugh-out-loud humor, outrageously hilarious characters, a wonderfully unique story arc and sweet, heavenly romance. No really - the romance takes place in heaven, or at least the part that doesn't happen in purgatory! What? Oh yes, this is quite the heavenly/hell read! And did I mention the steamy, dreamy sex??? Well, it has that as well! The story is exciting, original, humorous and brilliantly imaginative. The dialogue is smart, sassy, uproariously funny, well executed and flows effortlessly. But my favorite element is, without a doubt, the remarkable cast of fascinating, engaging and fabulously funny characters. They literally explode from the pages, grab your complete attention and capture your heart. The narrative is beautifully written with a first person perspective from the primary characters of the story. The main point of view is from our divinely beautiful heroine, paralegal Ashley MacLeod. Well, former paralegal since Ash is now deceased and newest member of the Supernatural Intervention Agency's Delta Squadron. Huh? What the heck? Yup, as a result of an unfortunate blow dryer accident, Ash is now one of the dearly departed and a newbie gifted ghoster in training! But it's a long story and definitely one you want to read, especially the part about Aedan O'Connor, the handsome, hunky Grim Reaper assigned to escort Ash to her brand new heavenly home. There are new characters added in each subsequent release along with more first person perspectives but the points of view are primarily from Ash and Aedan. You would think if Ash is rewarded with a trip to heaven, then everything would be perfect, right? Wrong! It seems there are screw-ups even inside the Pearly Gates and someone just made a biggie. Oops! Looks like Ash won't be staying in the Penthouse after all and she certainly won't be having the perfect afterlife as her Grim promised. What's a girl to do? Well, she could start by falling in love with her Grim after she's thrown out of her Penthouse and reassigned to purgatory. But if she's lucky, maybe her handsome new Grim lover will come rescue her when she's betrayed, led into a trap, kidnapped and held prisoner in hell! And just maybe.... she might meet and be rescued by her lover's twin brother Callum, a dragon demon who has been damned to a life in hell. Aedan has a brother??? Oh yes he does and he's quite the sexy beast - literally! There's just so much temptation in hell....especially after drinking the horny water. Yes, I said horny water! Oh goodness! Unfortunately, while aiding in Ash's escape, said twin brother, Callum, along with Sarge and a few other friends, as well as Aedan's evil ex-wife, Katherine, have been cast down to a lower and much worse level of hell, and now they need to be rescued! Holy Hades! But there's a psychotic old west demon dentist (think Doc Holiday), a huge soul sucking dragon and a big, scary, malevolent female spider with an army of baby spiders and a cult of priestesses throwing a demon wrench in the whole rescue plan! Oh no! And did I mention that Aedan's ex-fiancee, Marie Murphy, who as it turns out is Ash's Great Aunt and sister to Aedan's ex-wife, also insists on accompanying them on their rescue mission to hell. Oh my! Will Ash and Aedan be able to save Callum and their friends before it's too late???

Well, thank heavens for small miracles because if you've read the first three books, you know everyone was rescued - kinda. Whew! But from here on out, it gets pretty darn hairy - literally! No, really, it does and you'll see what I mean! Woof! Ash and Aedan are all set to tie the knot when everything goes to hell in a handbasket. And again, I do mean that quite literally! How about the wedding from hell with none other than the devil himself kidnapping the wedding party and hosting the festivities himself at his very own Hotel Hell. But don't fret, he provides the happy couple with separate luxury rooms complete with Siren bed turn-down service, a sunken tub full of horny water, and their very own monkey Hitler concierge. And ever the gracious host, Satan also provides the guests with simply 'to die for' accommodations including a exotic view of the Lake of Fire. Now all they have to do is somehow find a way to survive long enough to make the honeymoon. In hindsight, maybe Ash shouldn't have chosen a fiery red sash and a pair of red hot pumps to wear with her vintage not so virginal white dress! Oh my glory! Someone call heaven - we need a rescue! Buckle up, my lovelies! This one is a really wild ride! No spoilers from me but I will say this.....Beautiful, snarky heroine-check! Devilishly handsome hero-check! Demons, demons and more demons-check! The devil, an evil monkey Hitler and a hoard of evil spiders-check! Kidnapping, again, and a lot of heart-stopping danger along with a whole mess of delicious drama-check! A boatload of hilarious humor and outrageous hijinks-check! An outrageous cast of delightful characters-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, sweet romance and heavenly sex-you bet! That and a whole lot more! Bring on BOok Five, Tara West. You keep writing them and I'll keep reading and loving them! Deliciously cute, fabulously funny, sinfully sexy and divinely entertaining!

When rating and reviewing a book, I always ask myself several questions. First, what did I love about this story? Pretty much everything! I adore anything paranormal or supernatural and love stories with comedy and romance but when I find a book that has it all, I'm in heaven! Sorry, I just couldn't resist the pun. Although this book contained approximately 200 pages of outrageous humor and ooey-gooey heavenly goodness, it was a quick, easy to follow read. Once I started reading, I simply could not stop. I was glued to my Kindle with the hours passing seemingly as minutes. I loved it! Second, I ask if there was anything I didn't like? And truthfully, not a darn thing! Third, would I recommend this book? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain some exquisitely written sex scenes.....Swoon! Fourth, will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Good gracious, yes! Totally and completely entertained! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. It was finally going to happen! Ash and Aiden's wedding! But everyone knows THAT couldn't happen without some kind of craziness happening! Our couple find themselves taken to the bottom level of hell along with some friends that Ash and Aiden must rescue.

Demonic and Deserted takes you on an adventure with some crazy mishaps and just unbelievable circumstances. I was a little disappointed in the route we took with some relationship stuff, forced, of course by Satan himself, but mainly I had a really good time with this story. The craziness that happens to Ash and the gang will leave you laughing.

This series is definitely good if you want something light and funny. We do have action scenes, because what would an adventure be without action, but there is such silliness that it can't help but shake your head and laugh. There is all kinds of drama with steps of growth for the characters. Demonic and Deserted was a good time and I can't wait to see what happens to Ash and Aiden next. Are they going to get that wedding and honeymoon? This review was originally posted on Rantings of a Reading Addict

Ash and Aiden have a great relationship. Except for being dead, the only other problem is they can't seem to stay out of hell. Wedding bells doesn't seem to be able to stop that either. Will their day ever come when it seems like they will be stuck in hell for eternity? Laugh your way through this amazing book and find out.

Crazy, funny, sassy, spicy! A fast paced read that kept me laughing at all the shenannigans and situations that the characters found themselves in. Loved the continuation of Ash and Aiden's story. They always have each others' backs. Loved that we got to see a lot more of Sarge in this one. By how the book ended, I'm hoping there will be more from the characters in the future!

When I started reading this, the fourth book of the series, I knew there was something about the series that was annoying me, but I couldn't figure out what it was (although there was something about the love scenes that made me squirm). By chapter two, I had identified what it was. First came this: "He raised my hands to his lips, placing tender kisses on each knuckle and causing that slow drip in my underwear to turn into a steady trickle." Later, on the same page(!), there was this: "When his hand wandered down my back and cupped my buttocks, that trickle turned into a stream as he lifted me up, pushing my backside into the elevator wall." I realized this had become a recurring theme with Ash. Ewww! The other thing that annoyed me was that every time Ash orgasmed the first time, she screamed. Every. Stinkin'. Time. The reason I say the first time is that every encounter seemed to entail multiple mind-blowing orgasms. I found myself dreading any hint of intimacy between Ash and Aidan. It just became too predictable - her panties getting "soaked," her orgasmic screams, multiple orgasms. Enough already.

The plot was good, and I was particularly impressed by the imagination required to create this world. This was definitely a page-turner; I couldn't stop reading because I had to know what would happen next. It was tense and uncertain yet concluded on a positive note. For this reason, I can give this book 4 stars. I was too annoyed by the love scenes to give it 5, but maybe it's just me. Either way, I think the book is worth reading.

I love this series of books. The humour and adventure, combined with the super hot Grim that is Aedan make for one fun and amazing read.

The pace of the book keeps me gripped, the plot twists and turns in ways I wouldn't even begin to suspect and I am entertained from the very first to the very final line. Most of the story is written from Ash's POV but with enough chapters from Aedan and other characters to add extra depth and interest.

I worry about the sanity of an author who can dream up such a crazy and yet somehow believable paranormal/adventure/romance/comedy story. However I am so glad that she DOES have such a strange imagination because these books always cheer me up and are amongst my favourite reads of the year.

OMG, this is one of the best books that I have read. This book grabbed me from the moment that I started reading and would not let me go. It moved along at the perfect reading pace and has characters that you will have so much fun reading about that you feel as though you know them. The story will grab you and not let you go. no matter what. It will keep you interested and entertained from beginning to end, no doubt about it. This must be read.

Witty, fun and sexy

I binge read all four books and looking forward to #5. I hope to read more about the other characters in the series. Maybe some back story on the grandparents, bubba bubba.

( dear Tara, I really loved your books but the conclusions seem a bit rushed. It feels like,BAM, problem solved. It might just be me.)

I would love to set up camp in Tara West's deliciously strange brain--probably just for an hour or so, because I'd be too scared to lurk any longer than that! I will say that her books are like any other I've ever read. They are so unique, surprising, engaging. I just can't put them down. I'm currently very angry at her for not having the next book in the series ready for me. I hate waiting!

Book 4.

Talk about the wedding day from hell!! Aedan and Ash are led down into the fiery pits on their big day as the devil plans to trade them for his captivity. Prepare for a sighting of all manner of mystical creatures and spiders (shudder) everywhere.

The moral of friends and family looking out for and protecting each other is a thread this series.

I really enjoyed this book. Who would have thought you get to read about Hitler and Satan on the thirteenth level of hell in this story. Lol Ash and Grim are just such a great couple you root for them the whole time.

Loved it.

Want more a series about the other characters would be great. Or go back in time for the grand parents. Basically anything. Loved it.

Fantastic! This was probably one of my favorites in the series. Hell, sub level 13, what a nightmare! The Devil is a real nasty piece of work.

2 1/2 - 3 stars. This storyline had great potential, but unfortunately, it's been drawn out to a 5 book series, & it's lost a lot of its colour & spontaneity. Nonetheless, it's still a good, humorous read with wonderful characters.

Great book

Why Amazon insist on 20 words for a review via kindle, I don't know. Especially when I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book.

Better than the last 3

Book 4 was definitely better than the last 3 but Ash is still annoying.
On to book 5 to complete the series.

Read months ago. Got from the author for free (yay!), no review requested but I'm giving one anyway. This book is not recommended for children or persons with a desire to not read about steamy hot S#X. Least there should be lots of that stuff.

The protagonist. Well she's dead and sent to HELL on her wedding day. Not Her fault of course but hey, sh&t happens. Well the devil is not such a nice guy as we'd like to believe. Hitler Monkey?!!!!!

Good clean read, no major plot blunders and good grammar.

Another 5 star read

This is the 4th book I. The series. I loved reading more about Ash and the crew. This time they are tricked and taken to the lowest level in hell. The devil is screwing with them and ASH is turned into a flea infested half dog woman on her wedding day of all days. What have they gotten themselves into this time? Will they make it out of hell stronger? You must read to find out. I definitely suggest reading the first 3 books in the series before this one.
