Eve Sawyer had a bright future ahead of her when a tragic accident cost her everything. Now, twelve years later, desperation for all she has been missing compels her to seek comfort and pleasure in the arms of strangers. A few hours indulging in anonymous sex with a man named Nate gives her more pleasure than she ever dreamed possible. Unfortunately, past experiences with men haven't given her any hope that incredible night could ever lead to anything more. After meeting Nate again and succumbing to his erotic coercion to enter into a sex-only affair, she soon discovers all the different ways a man with a very healthy sex drive and a creative imagination can give a woman with limitations the exciting, pleasurable adventures she has been craving.
Nate Radcliff never had trouble forgetting a woman once he left her bed until he spent the night having sex with a woman who insisted on keeping her name a secret and her face hidden in the dark. The way she embraced everything they tried and that unique breathless gasp she made wouldn’t let him forget her. A few weeks later, a chance encounter has him coming face to face with the woman he has been obsessing about. He is stunned to discover the reason she hadn't needed a light that night; she is blind. Immediately struck with admiration for the lengths Eve is willing to go to to brighten her dark world, he becomes determined to give her the adventures she craves.
For weeks, Eve basks in the decadent pleasures and adventures both Nate and his friends give her, making sure she keeps her heart guarded from hoping for more, even when Nate insists their sex-only affair has grown into something more for him. But Nate isn't one to give up, especially when he wants someone as much as he wants Eve. Just when his persistence starts to pay off and Eve becomes open to a future with him, her best friend, Holly, returns to town, her jealousy and possessiveness threatening to drive them apart. Eve refuses to believe anything bad about Holly, the only person who has stayed faithfully by her side through thick and thin, which drives a wedge between her and Nate. In the end, Eve’s refusal to see her friend’s true motives comes close to not only costing her the man she loves, but costing her her life. Will Nate be able to make her believe that he wants all of her—forever? Will Eve discover that she's been blind to the fact that this man loves her and that she loves him?
This is a newly edited version of Blindsided which has been previously released by this author and is the first book in the Virginia Bluebloods series.

I live in the Midwest with my husband and two dogs, enjoy spending time with my daughter, babysitting her two dogs, reading and working puzzles. We have traveled extensively, but I much prefer being a homebody.
I began writing erotic novels with an emphasis on erotic spanking five years ago never dreaming that I would get published. I just celebrated the release of my eleventh title and am very thankful to my publisher, Pink Flamingo, for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to enjoy a fun career. While my earlier books lean more towards straight erotica that will appeal to only a very select audience, my last five books are erotic romances. I enjoy hearing all comments from readers. Blinded by a car accident after high school graduation, Eve Sawyer has made a life for herself with a successful teaching career and a group of good friends who love her. One thing she hasn't had is a successful relationship, so she lets a friend set her up for a one night, in the dark, sex only affair. Nate Radcliff isn't interested in an actual relationship, but every year on the anniversary of his teenage sister's death, he comforts himself with a night of anonymous sex -- and this time it's with Eve. Both of them enjoyed having fabulous sex, but when they accidentally meet up again, their attraction leads Nate to propose a casual, sex-only affair -- but in the long run, neither of them are good at keeping things casual.
Blindsided is the first of the Virginia Bluebloods books by B.J. Wane. The "blue bloods" in question in this novel are Nate and his obnoxiously snooty family (and possibly his non-snooty best friends), though there's not much classist discrimination in the book (except for Nate's family's horrible attitude towards Eve). It's a good introduction to a new world and new characters, and it's great that an author is making a person with a disability the heroine of the story (especially in a BDSM themed romance).
The conflict with Eve's friend is predictable, and gets a bit repetitive, but overall this is a very good book and a good start to a new series.
I really loved this book so much. It was emotional on every level in a way that was legitimate and real, not just for effect. The writing was fabulous and the storyline was unique. Well worth reading. Eve is a blind woman who was in a terrible accident shortly after high school graduation. She has been blind for a dozen years when the story takes place. Once a year, she fights to forget all that she lost in that accident. Nate is a third generation blue blood in Virginia high society. He doesn't respect his parents and doesn't want to go into the family business. His sister died most of a dozen years before and he too looks for an escape once a year. These two people with broken pasts find each other in this time of need. Their experiences and connection are so strong that they decide to engage in a no strings, short term affair. Of course, this affair grows into a true relationship but both sides are wary based on past relationship failures. To add a little more intrigue there are people on both sides of the relationship hoping it will fail and even maneuvering it to fail. However, while this summary may seem very stereotypical, this book is full of twists and turns that make it unexpected and a little bit more interesting. I can honestly say, I wasn't entirely sure how this book was going to go until the very end. Obviously, or rather, hopefully, we were moving toward a happily ever after but I really wasn't sure until the last couple of chapters. Also, whereas in most blind books, in my experience, the characters are hoping for some resolution of blindness, Eve and Nate, individually and as a couple, assuming they end up together, (NO SPOILERS!) would have honestly been happy and okay with whichever outcome they ended up with. I would also like to note that BJ Wane spent a lot of time on the blindness. It wasn't just a convenient character aspect to be brought up for drama. Eve was blind, she accepted this fact and tells Nate that if their relationship goes anywhere, even before the affair starts, that he has to consider that. Then there was follow through. It came up from both perspectives, not as a matter of weakness be a point of respect and strength. I want to clarify that Eve's character is not just the blind girl. It is more like a fact of life than a character trait, if that makes sense. NOTE: this book, unlike some with seemingly similar storylines, is very sexual. This is not a bad thing simply a warning. If you don't like this type of book, this book probably isn't for you. If you do like it, this is exactly what you're looking for. All of that said, the cost is ridiculous. When I saw it, I was highly doubtful that this book would be worth it and, having received it as a gift, I wasn't sure I would pay that much for it. Having read it, it is a powerful book with an amazing message and really just enjoyable in every way. I would say that the price is still a little high, just based on the length and the fact that it is an ebook but I would probably pay that price having read it. Hard choice and I don't think I helped much. I will say, if the price becomes more reasonable, I would say buy it, no hesitation.
I loved this story and was so engrossed in the plot and the characters. Now and then, you read a book that you become enraptured into the storyline and the characters, and that is exactly what BJ Wane did with this book. What an amazing beginning to a series, I can’t wait for more of the Virginia Bluebloods. I read over 800 books in a year, and so far this year, this one ranks at the very top of my reading list as best book read. It is a book that keeps your attention from page one to the end.
This story is so many things; a fling turned to an affair, an adventure in living in spite of a handicap, and an underlying mystery and suspense. Learning who really are your friends and who is the wolf in sheep’s clothing? What a great cast of characters, I loved Nate and Eve together, how he opened up a new world to Eve with experiences, his friendship with his best childhood friends, and how they all played together. The plot kept me captivated and questioning some people’s motives, and the various plot twists kept me in constant suspense. The dialog between different characters showed the clashes in personalities and friendships, sometimes heartwarming and other times sinister. As the story evolves, and little things are said, you see how evil someone can be, and you are on the edge of your seat, and the pages keep turning. In the end, with truths revealed, eyes are wide open to what matters the most.
Interesting read. Lots of sexy times. Let’s say Nate’s group of friends are a really tight group. This was very very long and seemed way too drawn out at times.
It was good; mature characters. H is rich, acts out a bit with his parents, but is independent and makes his own way and income. The h is blind, has an evil friend, and good friends. She is a bit TSTL, she really listens to evil friend and ignores good friends advice. It was believable though, as the evil friend had brainwashed her. H helps her expand her boundaries, including with other men. I liked the character development, especially the H.
If I had to name a first love for me, in book, it would be erotic romance. I want the sex to show the caring between the individuals, but more importantly, I want the characters to be developed so that I can enjoy what they're doing and saying. To those who didn't like the sex in the book, thanks for giving me my laugh of the day.
I can name a handful of erotic romances that I've remembered 20 minutes after I've read them. It is the sign of a marvelously written book if I not only can remember the title, I remember the character's names, AND if its a series, I've already bought number 2 before I finished number one. I loaded this onto KU knowing that the author was one whose writing interested me. This book brought it all home.
The characters of Nate and Eve were intro'd slowly, but I think that's the only way they could have been, since this book started out in a most unconventional manner. I would have liked to have seen Holly's psyche being examined a little more, but the reader never really "saw" her until halfway through the book or so, it didn't take away from the story.
Erotic romance is a tough genre to write. Not only do you have to build the characters, you have to build the sexual tension, throw in some drama, then, on top of it all, make sure Tab A is going into Slot A, otherwise, you get people like me pointing out that the moves are not physically possible. :-) But this book needed no prompting or correcting. Every part fit. Oh boy, did they ever! Nate and Eve were perfect together, before, during and after sex. I loved it!
Thank you BJ Wane for writing one of the most memorable Erotic Romances I've read in a while. Since I lived in Richmond at one time, it made it ever more memorable. I've already loaded Book 2 in the series onto my Kindle through KU. I'm really looking forward to this series.
After an arranged one night stand with a stranger in complete darkness and anonymity, Nate will always remember the catchy little noise this unknown woman makes in her throat. When he heard it again, he introduced himself only to discover this woman is blind. Eve is persuaded to have a short term sexual relationship with Nate so that he can once and for all learn to forget her. Eve agreed to this, so he introduced her to various practices. There is a turn around in his character from rich, selfish lady's man the more he gets to know and admire Eve as she coped with her disabilty. I disliked both characters. Nate's behaviour was written as determined to allow Eve to experience life through sex and adventure, but I thought he came across as demanding, selfish, demeaning and humiliating towards her. Eve's repetitive daily life is changed as she absorbs all Nate offers. Yet there is a total surrender without question on her part which did not strike me as realistic. There is no questioning or hesitating, even when Nate involves his friends. It is just too glib. Her character is bland, accepting and needy.
The slight storyline has a thin plot culminating in the reveal. The reader can see that coming a mile off.
Eve Sawyer, blinded in an accident but is a wonderfully talented musician and teacher. She is also “blind” in other aspects of her life which prove to be dangerous. Nate Radcliff, rich bad boy who loves a bit of kink, falls for Eve. There are other very likeable characters in the book but Eve and Nate are the main characters for this story.
The story is a bit repetitive, predicable, the sex is plentiful and erotic, but is also quite sweet in the way that Nate “woos” Eve and the story keeps you wanting to read on.
It was a very easy read with a sooth interaction between the characters, good banter and “almost” believable story-line. The ending for me was a little “naff” but of course there had to be the happy ending!!
I would recommend this book and I am going to mark “want to read” the next book.
I read this as part of the Determined To Master box set, and loved it. It's a sexy, emotional tale featuring Eve and Nate, who, after spending a hot night together, find they want more. Nate is surprised to find the woman he can't get off his mind is blind, and he sets about giving her pleasure that she's never experienced before, just the two of them and with his friends. But, when her, let's not be afraid to call it like it is, and say CRAZY friend, comes along, she manages to place an obstacle between Eve and Nate that they may not be able to overcome. I really liked this one. It's not just super steamy, the emotional connection between Nate and Eve is even stronger than their physical connection.
An Amazing first book in the Virginia Bluebloods Series
Always beautifully written prose by my favourite author BJ Wane and Blindsided was no exception! I just loved how Nate described to Eve her surroundings in such perfect detail, if I shut my eyes, I could envisage myself there also! Fantastic storyline with just the right amount of intrigue, betrayal, angst and lies to keep you gripped from the outset! Nate and Eve both had demons to exorcise but could they do it together? Will Nate be able to move on from his and Eve’s illicit trysts as easily as their usual one night stands? Can he overcome Eve’s handicap or will he fall by the wayside like Holly, Eve’s best friend keeps telling her will happen? Is there more to the insensitive Holly? I will stick with my convictions that BJ Wane reads are always a must read! I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy
A very enjoyable read and something a little different because of Eves blindness. Eve and Nate are both running from their demons when they meet but they soon both fall for each other even though their relationship is based on sex only. Eve is a successful 30 year old woman in her own right and has never let her blindness hold her back and with her best friend Holly by her side her life is near perfect. Or is it? Although I enjoyed this I did find it a little long with a bit too much self talk rather than Eve and Nate discussing their true feelings. There’s some kinky sex thrown in including some mfm sex scenes. I enjoyed this read and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
This story is very exciting and entertaining. The adventures her rich playboy takes this blind lady on are intense... I hope she gets to do them all again once they aren't just having sex... skydiving, zip lining, horse riding, rockwall climbing, and every time she gets near water it seems there are extra men to pleasure her... She gets orgasm every where. The crazy bestie is intense, but I suppose every story needs tension builder to allow the guy to be a hero... his parents could have been enough though they are pretty snobby. I have liked every story I have read so far from BJ Wane. This one's great too.
The first book in The Virginia Bluebloods series and I loved this book. Once i started reading I couldn’t put the book down. Both Eve and Nate suffered a loss and that loss puts them together.
Eve is a wonderful character. Strong and i loved how she enjoyed and embraced every new experience. Nate might seem the typical rich playboy, but he has a good heart and it is wonderful to see how much he love Eve and helps her explore a whole new side of herself.
There are great secondary characters in this book is well and I look forward to reading more of the series.
Although this story had all the elements of a good erotic romance--attractive main characters, hot sex, and kink--there was also enough back story and a couple of plot twists to make it interesting. I didn't like the continual use of the word "handicap" -- I prefer "disability", but that maybe just a personal viewpoint on my part.
The story between Eve and Nate was beautiful. The way he cared for her was so touching. Her courage was awesome. Eve's friends were so supportive. Holly added the suspense and kept the action going. The ending was perfect. This book kept me wanting more. This book was a good read and did not disappoint.
I really enjoyed this book. Nates persistence with Eve and wanting more in their relationship was amazing. He showed her all the things she could do with her disability was just heart warming.
I really like BJ Wane: her books feature consensual sex and mutually-satisfying kink activities (not all of them may be to your taste); her heroes are not heavy-handed or despotic, as so many are in this genre; her heroines are strong, as so many aren't in this genre; and she's a decent writer (complex sentences, character background/histories/motivation, few editing errors, complete plots, though I do agree with other reviewers that she can be repetitious).
In terms of plot, I liked that the major stumbling-block was, by and large, a realistic one (a toxic friend) rather than the usual gang-related, mafia-related, criminal-related, or whatever outlandish plot elements authors tend to include in the name of mystery/suspense (I'm not saying that this can't be done well, just that it's overdone in these books to the point of absurdity; I suppose because it allows the hero to rescue the heroine). I did find Nate's parents unrealistic in their attitude towards Eve. . Given this -- and the depiction of Holly -- I would say that the book's major drawback (other than what I'm going to say below) is its black-and-white, extreme character portrayals.
I found this book hard to rate, though, and that was due to its uneven depiction of disability (not "handicap," btw). Now, I get that this is fantasy, but, given that the novel spends so much time on Eve's blindness, I think it's only fair to point out the ways that Ms. Wane gets it right and the ways that she gets it very, very wrong.
Right: 1) She features a disabled character. Most characters in this genre are young, white, middle-class, and abled. Attention authors: The world is a much more diverse -- and, hence, more interesting -- place than you represent it to be.
2) Eve is autonomous, with a good career, friends, and (generally) sense of self-worth. She owns her sensuality in a way that many disabled characters (or disabled people in real life) aren't allowed to. While Nate does help her, he's not there to solve her problems; in addition, she helps him, too.
Hmm this is book 1. I have never read anything by BJ Wane but it came from a FB recommendation and so far so good! **SPOILERS AHEAD** So Eve is the nice girl at school, the cheerleader who dates the football captain yada yada yada. Bobby is different as he actively encourages Eve to move forward with her life - in so far as helping her with her application and being accepted at Julliard. So the one evening she decides that during parking she will trade in her V-card, its not very enjoyable but hey ho it can only get better...right? But a repeat is not to happen as on the return trip Bobby's car is forced through the safety rail, he dies and her head injury leaves her blind.
Roll forward 10 years and Eve is about to get the night of her life courtesy of her friend Camille who runs an elite escort agency. She has the perfect man to set light to Eve's bad memories. Today is the anniversary of Bobby's death, and for Nate (the said perfect man) it is the anniversary of his little sister's death. His grief still clouds his thinking and keeps him far away from what his parents have set in store for him. He may have the Radcliffe name but he has made his own way and his own fortune, not to spite them but in spite of them.
So Eve and Nate have their night of passion and they scorch the sheets, its lights off and all Nate knows is the woman in his arms lights up for him but at dawn he knows its over.
He doesn't forget her but cannot get any information from Camie on her. Its not until he is at the gym and he hears a gasp and a hauntingly familiar noise from the climbing wall that he realises dangling in front of him is the woman that haunts his thoughts and dreams. He is stunned to learn she is blind. Eve knows exactly who he is as she has never forgotten any of the details regarding their night together.
Nate knows that this woman is important to him, gone is his idea of being a lone wolf playing the field. This woman holds his future in her hands. He goes out of his way to push her boundaries, from wall climbing to horse riding to sky diving. He shows her the way, enroute he and his friends discover another venture to invest in, providing a haven for disabled children and adults to ride and play in a safe environment.
Nate gets to know Eve's over protective gay neighbours who once the warm to him they decide to warn him about Eve's best friend Holly. She, they tell him will be the decider on whether or not their relationship goes forward.
Holly returns from her extended photographic tour of Europe and is disconcerted by her friend's new show of independence. Then she discovers the reason for this new found backbone is Nate and she starts her multi pronged campaign to get him out of their lives. Holly knows that Eve only needs her.
Yep she is creepy, and yes she is rather dangerous. Just how dangerous is for Nate to discover and trying to convince Eve that her best friend ever is actually not!!
The characters and plot are so well developed in this book, it captures the reader’s attention in the first chapter. With a topic that could easily turn reader off, the author made the moment Eve and Nate met not only make sense but gave it validation.
Eve Sawyer was a young girl, whose dreams of going to college in New York was the only thing that would keep her and her boyfriend apart. With a future in place, heart filled with passion and desires, she was sure nothing could stop her, until that split second when tragedy happened and her dreams went up in flames. Now years later, she finds that she is a strong woman who teaches at a school for the blind, and lives her life alone as she tries to heal her broken heart.
Nate Radcliff is the son of wealthy parents whose priority is their social standing and reputation. Nate and his sister never registered on their radar unless it benefitted their parents. Now that it is just Nate, he is determined to never follow in his father’s footsteps and make his fortune in his own way. It isn’t about the money or social standing, it is about honoring those he loves and finding the life that fulfills him as a man and lover.
What brought Eve and Nate together was an escape from the anniversaries of when their worlds shattered into a million pieces. What started out as a night of anonymous comfort soon turned into chemistry that couldn’t be ignored for long. Nate is going to teach Eve the power of making love, the freedom to explore her desires and the value that she holds in this world no matter what she has overcome. It was a beautiful experience to watch Eve show Nate his worth is not in the dollar signs and prestige that according his parents were the only thing that matters. This sounds like a simple story but you will soon find, the path to love is often full of secrets, risks and betrayal. While they both know everything has an expiration date, they soon find that life is sometimes worth the risk if you really want to feel true love.
I fell in love with Eve and Nate, I was inspired by their courage and determination to never surrender to the pain they both experienced. I am very excited that this is a series because the style of this author captivated me and gave me characters that I want to keep reading about for a very long time.
Well written, fast paced, interesting character development with plenty of steamy scenes. however this novel also has an interesting plot and really involving character development very enjoyable
This is the second book I have read by Ms. BJ Wane and in actuality I liked this book better than Hannah and the Dom which is also by Ms. Wane and the first book I have read of hers. It’s not really per se the story which is neither complicated or contrived but seems to develop despite the strong erotic content at a steady pace but more the emotional depth of the characters even the minor characters were complex and detailed plus were a delight to read! Nate has one night to forget his sister’s death a night in a hotel filled with anonymous sex to a faceless stranger that usually expects or demands things from him. Eve is the stranger who meets Nate anonymously. Eve wants to forget her own personal tragedy that changed her world rendering her blind that same night. It was just supposed to be one night for them both sex with a stranger never to cross paths again but when their paths do cross can Nate or Eve forget each other? I just really liked Eve for her strong sense of self her confidence, unflagging determination to try even things that scare most normal people and her insecurities in her limitations plus weaknesses. She just seemed real yes she might be blind but I think most women are scared of stepping out of the box well at least I feel that way on several occasions. Eve had a natural curiosity but a sense of innocence that just intrigued me. Nate I couldn’t help but fall for as well. Yes there was this sense of high-handedness about him at first but there was just a vulnerability to his nature a need to be wanted for more than his money, who he is or his family is. I even loved Mark and Carl wanting more about their relationship but I also loved Wes, Dec, Fin, Katie and really hope there is more about them soon. I did wonder why the story left me kind of hanging did Nate and Eve get married despite all the obstacles that they have to face them. What about Wes and Katie do they get together too or do they remain friends with benefits? I guess in actuality I didn’t want the story to end that’s why I rated the story four stars, can recommend it but be forewarned this book isn’t for the ones that don’t like strong sexual content in their books and will get more books by Ms. Wane!
It's been twelve years since the accident. Every year since then on the anniversary of the accident Eve immerses herself in a night of anonymous sex to help her forget. What happens though when you meet your fling again?
Nate becomes hooked on Eve after spending a night with her. He has a chance encounter with her and knows he'll stop at nothing until she becomes his. Eve finally begins to open up to being in a relationship with Nate when her best friend comes back to town. Can Eve and Nate remain together despite a jealous best friend?
I have just recently discovered Wane and fallen in love. I know to expect a strong story line, hot sex, and a surprise here and there. Blindsided teaches us that beauty is more than what we can see. Sometimes it's about what we feel. I read this in a matter of hours and know that I will be around for book two in the series. There is an interesting twist in Blindsided and I have to give Wane huge props for taking such a risk because it showcases why readers read Erotica. We read to feel, not see.

I knew from my previous reads of B J Wane I would not be disappointed with this one. True to form I was not. :)
I LOVED it! HOT, SEXY, EROTIC and full of EMOTIONl!
It’s about Eve, who ends up blind after a road accident and a night of passion with her then boyfriend. Years later she’s teaching music to other blind students and has lost none of her natural musical gifts.
She chooses to have nights of secret passion arranged thus avoiding becoming involved with a man. On one particular evening she ends up with Nate, who has been asked to fill in by a friend.
Nate’s from a very wealthy background and happily takes on his ‘role’ for the night. He doesn’t get to see her initially but later as the night ends, he glimpses her from behind.
Skip ahead to a business meeting and who should he find there but the same woman and discovers she’s blind. Eve also recognizes his voice and brief touch as she’s introduced.
This story follows their growing relationship, from the confirmed non committed Nate to Eve giving him a chance. What starts as a sexual gratification arrangement soon becomes so much more as Nate lets go of his rules and falls for Eve. She too let’s go of her barriers and the two become so much more than just sexual partners as their lives grow together.
There are hiccups, with Nate’s X, Eve’s leech of a friend Holly and Nate’s parents. Their close friends all come together to help the couple, support them and make their lives exciting. It is a book with many emotions and you will laugh, want to cry and also clobber a certain couple of women!
You need to read more to find out just why and I warn you.... You will be shocked! Lets just say if a certain person had not committed suicide, I’d have wanted to murder them for what they did! :)
BJ Wane, you did it again, I’m so in love with your books and look forward to reading more. :) Apart from a break for an appointment, I read this in the one day, I had to finish it, desperate for the end, thus not disappointed when I got there. Despite the shock reveal. ;)
3.0-3.25 RATING- This could have been a better read for me than it ended up being. The potential was there. I liked the premise of the book. No idea why but I love reading about a blind heroine so that was a plus right off the bat. Also, love a dominating hero. The sex was plentiful and may have actually been a bit sexy heavy but for an erotic, I guess it was pretty typical.
But a lot in the book was repetitive. From descriptions of people, to reasoning behind why the heroine couldn't be with hero, to the hero trying to understand why he was so attracted to the heroine, I just felt like I kept reading the same thing over and over again. Another big problem was how Holly's character was written. Her behavior was just so extreme from the very beginning that it made me frustrated with Eve for putting up with it and not protecting the other people in her life from having to deal with it. Holly was so blatantly toxic that I felt like it was inexcusable for her behavior to be tolerated, regardless of situation or circumstance. I'm sure most readers won't be as irritated by this but I unfortunately was.
This was a new to me author and while I thought the book was okay, I'm not sure that I'll continue with the series. Maybe if I could get the other books on sale and was in the mood for a BDSM read I may look at the next book. I'm not sure.
NOTE: Readers that don't care for menage hook ups outside of a committed relationship may not be a fan of the sharing that takes place in Blindsided. I usually like all parties involved to be in a secure relationship but since I knew that wasn't the case with this book before I started, I was okay as it was written.
Blindsided is the first book in the Virginia Bluebloods series by the very talented writer BJ Wane. The Virginia Bluebloods are 4 hot, rich, good ole southern boys, who are best friends. They all buck tradition and certainly anything expected of them by their parental units. Nate, Wes, Dec and Finn. Blindsided is about Nate.
Nate is a playboy who doesn't do relationships, and once a year, a friend of his, Camille, sets him up with a woman for a night of no-holds barred sex. He's trying to bury the demons of the death of his drug addicted sister. But this year, his partner wants things a little different.
Eve was blinded in a car accident that killed her high school sweetheart 12 years ago. Every year, Camille finds her a man so she can have some anonymous sex and drive the demons away. This year, it's with Nate, who gives her more pleasure then she's ever had.
A few weeks later, he runs into her at a friends rock climbing facility, and is amazed to learn she is blind. He starts to relentlessly pursue her until she finally agrees to go out with him, for a sex only affair. But Eve's friend Holly has her doubts, and she's quite vocal. about it, even obsessive. I'd tell you more but...You need to read it to get how incredible it really is.
I loved this first novel of the Virginia Bluebloods. BJ Wane is a remarkable storyteller, though there were a couple of instances with past and present tense, but that's not a big deal in the overall scheme of things.
Well written, compelling love story. Between her blindness and his social elitist parents, you would think this couple would have plenty of challenges but the real danger to their relationship is less obvious. I really respected Eve's independence and courage to abandon her fears and live fully in the moment. It gives a whole new meaning to the trust required to fully submit.
Blindsided is the first book in the Virginia Blueblood series by author BJ Wane. I will say, this is the second book I have read by this author, I preferred the previous book to this one. It is a good read but lacks some of the emotion the other book had. I felt a little let down with this one. This one is about Eve she was an innocent young girl when tragedy happened. She had just lost her virginity when her and her boyfriend are in a horrible car crash. This crash leaves her bitter and blind. She is a very brave woman. She retains a feisty nature as well. She has made a life for herself despite what has happened. She just has closed off her heart. She does allow herself one day a year to have an anonymous affair. Nate has always been the love and leave them type. When he is approached to have a one night stand with a beautiful lady, he jumps at the chance. Normally people want him for his money this is a nice change of pace. He just never counted on falling for the woman who insists on being in the dark and not telling him her name. The premise of this book is really great. However I was not feeling the emotional connection you would expect from this kind of romance. But having said that, I think this is a great read. Has BDSM spanking and a ton of sex in this story. I think anyone would like this one very much.
Blackmailed is the fourth book in the Virginia Bluebloods series but can also be read as a standalone novel. Many characters from previous books take part in Wes and Charlie's story. They met in an unconventional way and continued as they started.. Wes has been burned in a previous relationship and has trust issues. The lack of trust is compounded by Charlie's secretive nature. While she is being controlled by several people and pulled in different directions, she still tries to live her life and experience all the things life has to offer. This couple faces ups and downs but experience great sex scenes, spankings, BDSM, and a lot of love. This story was well written and leaves it where the author can continue with secondary characters if they choose to extend the series. I highly recommend taking the time to read not only this great book, but also, the entire series!! BJ Wane has come through for her fans once again!!!
