The book starts with a brief history of stem cell research. The following chapters cover stem cell fundamentals and it ends with chapters on actual therapeutic applications.
While it's certainly no easy read for a laymen like me, I really like its organization. Each chapter ends with a summary, key words, review questions, and sources for further reading.
