This book is not just for wine experts but for anyone wanting to know more about this beautiful unspoilt region of France and it also contains some wonderful photography to illustrate the people, the places and the wine.
As Raymond Blanc says in his foreword to the book, "the Jura .. is such a remarkable and stunning part of France. Those who visit tend to return."

Jura is an often overlooked French wine region, and Lorch's book dedicated to the region is thorough and indefensible. That said, I could not get my head around the writing, which generally made it an obtuse read, and where basic information on topics and personalities being profiled always seemed to come 80 pages after you were curious about it. I feel like a better editor could have transformed this into a much more digestible format.

Wine geek's delight! Thoughtful, comprehensive, well-written tome on the under-appreciated wines of Jura.
