Hot sex. Action. Adventure. Drama. Romance. This story had all the makings to make for one amazingly fun read.

Bianca and Taz are in love, running B-Squad Security and Investigations, and searching for a lost friend. Everything's pretty great until Taz's wife shows up. He's married? This is a huge blow to their relationship and Bianca's heart and the timing couldn't be worse. They're about to go undercover as a newlywed couple and Bianca isn't sure how she'll be able to stand being in the same room with the man who broke her heart. But Taz isn't giving up without a fight because he only wants her and he'll stop at nothing to prove his love and devotion to her.

This was a sweet escape read with tons of hi-jinks, heat and love. Avery Flynn is a new-to-me author and I adore her writing. I'll be sure to add the rest of her books to my to-read list.

I'm on the fence about this book. Will I read book two (or three if you count the novdlla)? Yes! **spoiler alert, sorry** Don't read further if you want to go in blind like I do. Also, be aware that this contains sex, public sex, all consensual.

It is full of angst, some action, lots of sex, and friendship. I just expected something different I guess. You get sex, ex wife shows up, cold shoulder, a huge reveal, public sex, nude couples retreat, then the action starts. Bianca is taken, Taz gets a good beat down but stays alert enough to help find her. And then another huge action play. The details of all is what you are going to have to read to find out. I won't share those.

BRAZEN is an exciting and ultra sexy romance featuring the private security team which formed in the MacKenzie World novella, BULLET PROOF. Taz Hazard's and Bianca Sutherland's story is first up in this series' debut; They fell in love in BULLET PROOF, but rough waters are in store for the couple as Taz's ex-wife arrives on the scene just in time to blow-up Taz's and Bianca's happily-ever-after with the news that she and Taz were never divorced and, in the process, throw a super snag into a time-critical team mission.

Bianca is understandably upset since Taz had never mentioned to her that he had been married and, even more grievous, that he still had a wife. The team's mission is personal and very important to Bianca as they are in pursuit of a lead to finding Gidget, her kidnapped friend, and the terrorists holding Gidget. Adding further complications, the feds are also involved because the same terrorists have developed a dangerous mind-controlling drug, Genie's Wish, which, if publicly released, would have serious, mind-boggling consequences for the world. The team's plans require that Taz and Bianca work closely together posing as newlyweds. There's no time to replace Taz with someone else, but it is questionable if Taz and Bianca can still work together at all.

If you have not read BULLET PROOF, know that Avery fills in the basics of what you will need to know about the couple's history in BRAZEN. That said, I'm glad I read BULLET PROOF first as I developed an affinity with the couple there and Avery couldn't include every wicked thing from their past! (AND there are some very wicked things!) BULLET PROOF is a very entertaining quick read - so, if you have the time, you may want to dive into it first, so you don't miss a minute of Taz's and Bianca's beginnings.

The angst and tension through-out the book mandated that this book be read in one sitting and Avery's storytelling skills have left me excited to read the next books in this series. Luckily, two more installments are scheduled to be released this year! Next up is BANG coming summer 2016. BANG will be Taz's ex-wife's story and how she tangles and gets naughty with freelance investigator Camacho. Then, get ready for Marko's story, BOLD, in late 2016. I would recommend this series to fans of steamy romantic suspense!!!

Bianca Sutherland, along with 4 friends and 5 former bad boys, formed B-Squad Security and Investigations. They’re looking for Gidget Harms, the fifth member of the B-Squad, and a former school friend of Bianca’s, back from the old days of their reform school for rich girls, Bernadette’s Academy for Young Ladies. Gidget was kidnapped with drug lords, who have developed a very dangerous drug: Genie’s Wish, a hallucinogenic drug; when the users take it long enough, their minds can be controlled. The Russian mob seems to be involved, and a certain Yasmin Romanow is out to get Bianca, whom she holds responsible for the death of Yasmin’s father. Bianca and her boyfriend of six months Taz Hazard will be going undercover as newlyweds to investigate further: they’ve had a tip that they might be able to find what they’re after at Indulgence Resort, near Hawaii. Taz is no big talker, but there was one secret he did not mention which just exploded in his face, and Bianca sees red! And this not-so-little omission leads to many more problems.

Avery Flynn’s writing has never been more colourful, and BRAZEN is extremely fast speed. We get to know more about everyone involved in the B-Squad, their backstories as well as who they are now. There is a lot of funny banter, and you will never think of hot wax or manscaping the same way again! BRAZEN is fast-paced, snarky, sexy, and a lot of fun!

The first in the series the guys and the girls are in a mission to rescue Gidget from unknows people. Taz and Bianca are more strong then ever but when the ex appears and the localization of her friend is known they still be fighthing to together??

Taz forget to tell Bianca that he was married yet how can he say something the tow of them are closed and having a relationship that is based on sex? Tamara his ex/atual wife is on the scene but she has actually bad intention as she said.

Back in the resort were they are a newly wed couple-they are undercover- the tension is palpable and Taz is everytime trying to show his lover that there is only her.
With a little time to rescue her friend and make peace with her boyfriend they make alive when a past enemy resurge.

I like the book its a good start yet Bianca and Taz relationship is a broken one they don't talk just until the end we see they are walking towards that but the h lost points when she didn't stand by his side when the ex shows up. And she was so eager to save her friend and the ending was yeah she is recovering bye.



Overall I am excited to the others books.

We first met Bianca and Taz in Bullet Proof and I was so excited for them to get a full length book. At the start of Brazen Bianca and Taz are trying to track down the missing Gidget. Outside of work their relationship is going well when suddenly Taz's ex-wife shows up. Taz had neglected to mention he was married and Bianca is understandably upset! Can he get her to forgive him? Will they be able to still work together or has his lie of omission not only compromised their personal relationship, but also destroyed their business one? Will they find Gidget?!

Taz's ex adds quite a but if angst to this story, but Flynn doesn't add too much that I found myself frustrated. In addition to the personal drama I was very invested in the case they were working and the continued mystery of Genie's Wish. This had the character chemistry and fabulous dialogue I come to expect from an Avery Flynn story. Looking forward to seeing where she takes this new series next.

I enjoyed meeting Bianca and Taz in Bulletproof so when I heard about Brazen, a look in on them after their initial HEA as Bianca continues her search for her missing best friend, I had to read it. While you can read Brazen as a standalone, I would recommend reading Bulletproof first so that you have the complete background. The references to Genies Wish and the search for Gidget will make much more sense.

B and her team have been making a bit of progress in their search for answers, the team is gelling well, and she and Taz still have a red hot connection that hasn't cooled off. As they are getting ready to go undercover at an exclusive resort where they believe Gidget is being held, Taz's past shows up to haunt him in the form of his ice queen/ beauty contestant ex-wife and Bianca isn't sure which one of the Hazards she should shoot first.

Her girls, or the Coven as Taz's brothers have dubbed them, have her back and endeavor to make his life miserable on her behalf, but they have a job to do and only one shot at getting it right. The resort atmosphere is just what he needs to try to bring back the Bianca he knows and loves instead of the cold, emotionally closed off woman standing in front of him now.

I wanted to rip Tamara's hair out for Bianca at first until more information about her situation was revealed; then I only marginally wanted to bitch slap her but she does a great job redeeming herself before the story is over. Taz and Bianca have what it takes to go the distance if they let themselves believe it, but B is so used to everyone brushing her off and leaving her that she lashes out before he can have a chance to leave her first. Neither of them is particularly comfortable with sharing their backgrounds but they need to find a way to communicate if they are going to stand a chance.

There is definitely one form of communication they excel at, and a clothing optional resort is just the place to help them along! Brazen has plenty of heart pounding moments between the twists and turns their mission takes, their intimate moments, and an inevitable showdown with the baddies. A partial resolution to the Genies Wish story is achieved but there is definitely more to come so sign me up for the next book! After the hint given about it at the end of Brazen, it looks like Bang will be one heckuva ride.

Avery Flynn brings us the first full length B-Squad novel with Brazen and be ready for a fast paced, sexy, snarky, actioned packed hot read that will have you glued to the pages. I know I was and I may have fallen a little deeper in crush with these characters. I loved this book so hard.

Why wouldn’t I when you have the oh so delicious Taz and his hot band of merry men and the kick ass girls of St B’s Academy led by Bianca, who have joined forces with the hunk brigade to find their missing friend Gidget who has been kidnapped and drugged by a drug kingpin.

Easy mission right? Make the plans, execute them, get Gidget back and shut down the drug dealer oh and deal with Taz’s ex-wife who turns up out of the blue and says “surprise” they are still married! So not what they need to deal with. There goes those well laid plans.

With the mission still a go and tensions high, the B-Squad head out and things go from tense to hot and hotter when Taz and Bianca put on a show neither will forget but may regret. But as they get closer to getting their ultimate target, the mission goes FUBAR and a lot goes down. But can they ultimately get Gidget or will she be just out of reach again?

When I say things go from hot to hotter, I’m not kidding. Taz and Bianca steam up the pages and make no apologies for it. Man they are hot together. Fighting or the other f wording, these two know how to put everything into it and to take no prisoners.

I must mention the Coven (aka other St B’s girls) who take sisterhood to a new level when they think Taz has wronged their girl. It involves waxing and the guy’s reactions are priceless. Plus you will love to hate ex-wifey Tamara. Be warned though, she actually grows on you till you end up loving her. Just you see.

If you want to see how Taz and Bianca became a couple, grab Bulletproof. This is the after the HEA ending and I thank the author for giving us more about this fantastic couple. I can’t wait to dive into the next B-Squad story and to see who falls next.

The second B-Squad book begins a little bit after Bullet Proof: A MacKenzie Family Novella (MacKenzie World, #2) ends--the squad has been established, and is hard at work trying to find its last member (Gidget) and keep the drug Bianca and Taz were exposed to in the last book off the streets. Bianca and Taz are living together, and everything seems to be going along swimmingly until Bianca is blindsided by the ex (or is she?) wife she didn't know Taz even had. How well does she really know him? Is their relationship based on nothing more than lust and sex?

(Speaking of sex, there's an awful lot of it in this one. Some of it in public...)

So yeah, the pressure's on.

I liked the beginning and end of the book the best--their time on the island seemed to veer away from the mission somewhat (and raised some questions--like if Bianca needs Elisa to give her "ten pounds" of contouring as a part of her disguise, what would she have done on day two, when she wakes up contour-free and Elisa's not there to fix her up again? Or if she just smudged it on the beach?) The next book in the series (Bang) is nicely set up, and the book after that (Bold) is hinted at (poor Marco's mom!) and my interest in them is sufficiently piqued to make me keep an eye on Goodreads to see when I can add them to my TBR.

Though you could definitely read this one without having read Bullet Proof: A MacKenzie Family Novella (MacKenzie World, #2) . the introductory novella does a good job of introducing the characters and the situation they find themselves in here and can answer a few questions for you.

Bianca Sutherland and Taz Hazard were a match made in heaven. They loved hard and were not afraid to put everything on the line when it comes to saving those that need their help. Sooo story over right?...WRONG!

Taz's wife...er...ex wife shows up claiming that due to a technicality she is still married to Taz. Although this should be easily figured out Bianca can't help but be shocked because she didn't even know that he was married in the first place!

Can Taz convince Bianca that he is 100% head over heals for her and 0% in love with his ex wife or will some secrets be just too much for Bianca to handle? Read and find out!

This book was pretty good. Although this story starts with Taz and Bianca in a relationship there is enough going on to keep the reader entertained because Bianca does not forgive very easy and her friends keep things funny all while they complete a very serious suspenseful mission.

Their relationship is moving full steam ahead, most of the old B-Squad is back together, and Gidget’s whereabouts are in their sights, until a visit from Taz’s past threatens their newfound happiness.

5 brazen stars!! This book will keep you on the edge of your seat!

I’ll keep my review pretty vague, but I will say this book is full of suspense, lust and sheer heat! I fell in love with Tax, he’s sexy as sin, and trust me when I say you’ll be falling too! Bianca is a sharp witted, tough as nails female lead and I loved every inch of her!! I read this book in one sitting and I enjoyed every single page!

"Brazen" by Avery Flynn

My Thoughts....

I loved B Squad #1 series...'Brazen' that definitely is 'bold and pacts quite a punch.' It is definitely one of those read that once you start reading you will not want to put it down until the very end. For this read is full of a little bit of it all from being a not only a heart pounding ride, fast paced read, lots of fun banter, insults, revenge plots, betrayal, blackmail, kidnapping, drama, twist and turns and plenty of hot steamy erotica sex from the two main characters [Taz Hazard {alpha kickass hero}and Bianca Sutherland{kickass heroine}] that will keep your attention. There are some interesting secondary characters[from the B Squad Security and Investigations] who are on a mission to find their missing kidnapped friend Gidget. Will this be a easy mission for them? What all will happen when Taz's ex wife appears? This will turn quite interesting when the 'Coven' girls [who were 'Five women, strong, independent, best friends and had been through a horrible experience at the high class boarding school they had once attended] believe their friend Bianca has been wronged by Taz. I loved that wax shave given by Elise! It seems like Taz had forgotten to tell Bianca about his ex wife. Now, why was that? Was Taz married or not? Now I don't want to leave out the six men in B Squad who were mostly 'tall, dark, muscular and gorgeous.' I did find all the characters well developed, portrayed and oh so believable that will keep you turning the pages to see what will be happening next in this fast paced read. Anyway it seems like this team are on a case that deals with a dangerous drug kingpin [who had kidnapped one of their best friends] and dealt with a horrible drug called 'Genie's Wish'[a hallucinogenic drug].What will happen when Taz and Bianca go undercover at a 'Lifestyler Resort, where clothing is optional? While this is a romantic read be ready for a sexy suspenseful romantic read. I don't want to spoil it for the reader other than to say this is one good read to pick up and the reader will get all the answers to the previous asked questions. It will be quite a interesting read to see how this will all turn out for Taz and Bianca.

Brazen is the first novel in the B-Squad series by Avery Flynn and closely follows the events in Bullet Proof, the spin-off novella launched from Liliana Hart’s MacKenzie series.

Oh man, I love these characters!! The women are ballsy and talented; the men are strong, skilled, and dominating (yet wary of all that girl power!); and the B-Squad setup is legit. Taz and Bianca are HOT together. And they’re not afraid to show each other off to a crowd, which will be a real draw for all the exhibitionists and voyeuristic readers out there. These two are raw and dirty, and their personal scenes just sizzle.

Both Bianca and Taz have guarded hearts and volatile tempers, making their interactions unpredictable and exciting. Taz’s gypsy blood defines him as much as Bianca’s rich-girl parentage, but both have overcome nasty personal trials and have come out as independent and strongly motivated individuals. When they’re in work mode though, these two are hyper focused and more than capable. Bianca is a strong lead for the B-Squad investigative team, and Taz has no qualms about being her second-in-command. Although, he should probably watch out for Bianca’s girlies as much as the boss herself, even if they’re just waxing off beards in the name of undercover makeovers.

The ladies and gents on this team is more like a collection of badasses and masterminds than any typical boring old investigative agency, and their personalities shine brightly. I’m very excited about this new story world created by author Avery Flynn. Ms. Flynn is a new-to-me author and I’m impressed with the quality and punch of her work. She has a strong voice with memorable characters and exciting plot arcs. Can’t wait to see what’s next for the B-Squad!

This was a fast-paced read with a few twists and turns that had me reading this story in one sitting. I just love stories with a strong heroine, and Avery Flynn gives us not just one, but a whole B-Squad full of strong heroines which makes me one happy reader!

I really love how Bianca and all the women of the B-Squad can hold their own. They are a strong group of very diverse women who have each other’s back and complement each other with their skill sets. Their shared history has forged a bond between them that run deeps and there is no doubt that they will do whatever it takes to protect each other. So it’s no surprise that when Bianca comes face to face with Taz’s past – in the form of his wife…or maybe ex-wife depending on if she filed the divorce papers or not – that her girls are ready, willing, and able to help Bianca through her hurt and pain.

Bianca swallowed past the biter chunks of broken heart clogging her throat. “I’m not going to kill him.”

From her listening post, Vivi shot her a wicked grin. “Would have been my first plan of action.”

“Whacking someone is always your first idea,” Lexie said, her laptop screen giving her green highlights an otherworldly glow.

“True.” Vivi shrugged her deceptively small shoulders, a snarky grin curling her blood-red lips. “That’s what makes me so damn charming.”

The story itself is a bit edgy – between the strain between Bianca and Taz because of his “wife” showing up and the team’s desperation to not only save their friend Gidget but also stop the distribution of a very dangerous drug, you could feel the tension throughout the entire book.

One thing that did bother me about the story was having Taz’s wife/ex-wife’s tag along on the mission they went on to save Gidget/stop the drug distribution. Seemed odd that they would just bring her along when she has no experience/training, and then when they allow her to get involved in their mission it just seemed a bit out of place.

Overall, this was a solid start to what looks like a fun series filled with some sassy-mouthed, strong heroines! I’m looking forward to see what’s up next for the B-Squad.

Private Security organizations seem to be the darling of the literary world these days. They give the author an opportunity to explore all the drama and excitement of a police or military special ops story with only a fraction of the limitations imposed by organizational rules and regulations. Brazen is one of those stories.
Bianca Sutherland, an undiciplined and unconventional member of the famed Sutherland clan owes a lot to her private school friends. They were birds of a feather, rich girls who were sent off to a private school when they became too wild for their privileged families to be bothered with. Their St. Barts days are long passed bit Bianca has managed to keep the gang together and now they work with her and her partner Taz in their B-Squad security company.
Retired prize fighter, Taz Hazard grew up on the wrong side of the tracks in a gypsy community where family and tribe loyalty meant everything. Now, with his "brothers", together with the love of his life and her "B"s, they investigate things and people in ways the police can't.
For Tax and Bianca, life's pretty good until one of the Bs goes missing and Taz's x wife shows up, and then things get messy and very, very personal.
Brazen may be part of a familiar and well worn convention, but nothing Avery Flynn writes is ever conventional. The setting is exotic (in this case a high end, clothing optional tropical island resort), the enemy a maniacal developer of designer drugs with a personal grudge to settle and the security staff and toys are way beyond those available to the security company running out of makeshift office in your local industrial park, but the story is well crafted and full of scenes that are definitely not meant for your 12 year old neice. Brazen is Hot, Hot, Hot, and I can't wait to see the next installment in the B-Squad saga.

Bianca finally has her PI licence and with the help of Taz, has a thriving business. Along with her former fellow St B inmates, and Taz's "brothers" B-Squad Security and Investigations is doing quite well. But as with anything in life with the sweet there has to be the sour. Bianca knew everything was too good to be true but she never expected Taz past to come back and bite her in the butt, especially not an EXWIFE that she didn't know he had!!!

Taz can't believe Tamara is back and causing mayhem yet again. When she drops her little extortion demands he gets a friend to do little digging to see what she is really up to. Add to the still missing Gidget mystery and the timing could not have been worse! Genie's wish is still out there and when he and the furious Bianca go undercover at a Hedonist resort, they find that another strain is out there.

Will they finally find Gidget and figure out who the elusive mastermind behind Genie's Wish is? What is their tie to Bianca and the rest of her girls? Will Taz ever be able to get Bianca to trust him again?

Fast and furious and funny!!!! B-Squad are all unique and I love who the two posses have melded into one big mad extended family. Complete with insults, practical jokes and revenge plots!! Remind me never to pee off Elise, that woman is scary with wax in her hand! Bianca is waaaaay more understanding and courteous to Tamara that I'd ever be! Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Readers were first introduced to Bianca Sutherland and Taz Hazard in Bullet Proof, which is part of the MacKenzie Family Novella series. In Brazen, the action picks up where I’m presuming Bullet Proof ended. The best part is if you haven’t read Bullet Proof you can still follow along.

Bianca and her girlfriends who make up the B-Squad are on the hunt for a drug kingpin who has kidnapped one of their best friends. Gidget’s kidnapping also ties into the DEA’s search for a powerful hallucinogen known as Genie’s Wish. With the help of her new boyfriend, Taz, a retired boxer and his Romany brothers in arms the group travels the country in search of both.

Bianca and Taz each had less than desirable childhoods growing up, but for different reasons. They’ve been together for six months and are already living together, but they don’t really know each other. Their relationship is one of intense passion without a lot of verbal communication. Their latest mission will put their lives on the line as well as their hearts.

It’s been awhile since I’ve read an Avery Flynn book. I forgot how she manages to slowly ramp up the action until you’ve lost yourself to the book and nothing else matters. Prepare yourself for a story of friendship, passion, a little suspense, and surprises.

Bianca Sutherland and Taz Hazard have everything going for them. Bianca has her security and investigation company up and running and working with her best friends along with Taz’s brothers. The one mission that is priority at the moment is finding Gidget and stopping the most dangerous drug from hitting the streets.

Bianca and Taz must go undercover as a couple on their honeymoon to find Gidget. This was going to be the easiest thing for them to do since they are already in love. That is until Tamera walks in and drops the bomb that she is still married to Taz. Bianca feels betrayed and hurt but knows she has to complete the job to find her friend.

This was a great first book to kick off a series. Oh, what a dream team. I love all of the characters in this book. Damn, this book is HOT! Even with all of the drama and suspense and scorching heat that comes off of the pages will leave you begging for more. I think I actually forgot to feed my family at one time. I cannot wait to read the next book in the B-Squad series.

Bianca is trying to save her friend. She and the B-Squad are doing what they can to find Gidget. The added bonus of some man candy doesn't hurt either. Her boyfriend and his former military friends make this team even hotter.

Trying to take down crazy drug dealers and save her friend will cost her more patience then Bianca ever thought, seeing as her boyfriend's wife nuts walked through the door. Yup, boyfriend's wife. That's what I said!

Time is not on their side and she doesn't have time to process that the man she is falling for has a wife. He's never even mentioned ever being married...funny how that didn't come up during their six month relationship.

As Bianca struggles to find her friend and avoid Taz, she needs to figure what she wants.

It's a quick read and an intriguing idea. The downside is I felt like I was a little lost not having read the novella. It was a it frustrating, but over all fun.

I so fell head over heart for Bianca. She is strong and sassy. Loyal to her friends and willing to fight for those she cares about in her life. I loved Taz too, but also wanted to shake him a time or two. In this part of their story, they are living and working together. Scorching hot. They are sizzling. Then something happens just as they are leaving to rescue Bianca's friend from a horrible druglord. Something that definitely throws them both for a loop. This was about the time I wanted to shake the man. Now he is delish and has a way with the naughty talk. He is head over heels for his woman and is going to have to prove that. What I especially loved about this story is that they also have great friends who are family surrounding them. They both were lacking in the parenting area, so they picked their family. I can't wait to learn more about them. I really enjoyed Bianca and Taz's story and can't wait to read more of this series.

I give Brazen 5 hearts!
