Gambling With Love #8

All In: Paying His Way

Rate this book
The eighth and final book in the bestselling series, Gambling With Love.

Maggie is too young, too sweet, and has too much of a past with my little brother.

I shouldn’t think twice about Maggie Frasier.

When she needs my help, though, there’s no way I can ignore her and my newborn nephew. They don’t have anyone else to turn to since my brother refuses to own up to his responsibility.

Somehow . . . I went from helping her - to holding her - to loving her.

Now everything has changed, and I want to keep Maggie and her son in my life - permanently.
My brother certainly doesn’t give a shit about them, and therein lies the problem.
The truth can only be hidden for so long, and once it’s out, there’s no going back.

However, not everything is as it seems. By the time I realize my mistake, it just might be too late to get Maggie back.

This author is known for pushing some boundaries and she does so in this novella about four brothers, one whose girlfriend gets pregnant and is abandoned. When Jordan runs into Maggie, his younger brothers highschool girlfriend with a baby in tow, it doesn’t take him long to make the connection. He sets out to help the single mother and try to right the wrongs but as this story unfolds there is so much more going on than what appears on the surface.

This story did make me a bit uncomfortable but I came to the conclusion that if these characters were okay by their past decisions and actions as well as the actions those around them had taken, then I certainly was not going to judge them. It’s not necessarily the thing I enjoy reading but I felt the author did a good job of working out the issues. There is also a bit of kink that I could do without but I skimmed over those parts.

The ending was very well thought out and was quite a surprise and was wrapped up with a nice little epilogue. Overall, this was a nice read that may definitely push you out of your comfort zone so if that’s something you like to challenge yourself with then this is definitely the book for you.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

All In: Paying his Way by Lane Hart a five-star read that will astound you. This is a stand-alone novella in the Gambling with Love series and what a story, it will keep your heart in your mouth and your throat in your stomach for most of the story. Maggie Frasier is one lucky lady in some ways, and in others she is the unluckiest lady. A chance encounter at the store will change her fate, but can the brother of the man you once loved be the one to save you? The one to show you how love should be? Or will he just be the brother you know you shouldn’t have. These brothers all have a story to tell, but will they be the stories we expect? Thank you Lane Hart once again you push boundaries and the norm to show us that life can be great, its just what you make of it.

This book is very short and sweet! We have Maggie who falls for a lowlife and ends up with a baby! Then we have Jordan the brother who wants to make up for his brothers mistakes. What he didn't realise and bank on was falling for Maggie. With the twists and turns this book leads it's a wonderful read! I couldn't put it down till I finished!

Terrific book 7

This is book 7 in the series and can be read as a stand alone too. Characters from previous books are moving throughout the book and are nice to see but reading the previous books are not required to get the story. Jordan (older brother to Jake from bk 5 & 6) runs into the ex girlfriend of his youngest brother Jason and she has a surprise a month old baby. Maggie, Jason's on again off again ex, is frazzled and alone trying her best to care for Camden her month old baby. When Jordan confronts her and asks she tells the truth it is Jason's baby and he doesn't care. Jordan being an honorable man begins to help Maggie with little things like food and baby things. Neither of them had any intention of becoming a thing but the chemistry is undeniable. If only family issues wont tear them apart before they even solidify their relationship. I love this series and this book was no exception. Read cover to cover in one sitting.

Jake is shopping and in line and the line is being held up by a very young girl trying to use coupons, and scrounging through her purse to try and finish her purchase. Jake decides to bail her out, and pay the rest of her bill, so he can checkout faster. He's shocked to discover that it's his little brother ex girlfriend, Maggie. He's even more surprised that she has a newborn baby with her. Jake puts two and two together, and figures out that it's his brothers child. He finds out that she's living in a horrible area, and not eating well. She's barely surviving. She told Jake's brother about her pregnancy, but he doesn't believe her. Jake steps up to help take care of her and the baby. Although it cost him to loose his relationship with two of his brothers. There is a bizarre twist at the end that I didn't see coming. Although I feel there should have been more justice for Maggie. I really loved this fast paced relationship!

This romance deals mainly with four brothers and how three of them affect her life in s drastic way.
It was surprising how Jordan’s younger brothers could be so detestable! I really felt for Maggie who started out so sweet, only to be treated poorly by Jason (the youngest brother). In turn Maggie behaves poorly to get back at Jason, and Josh becomes an abuser without Maggie’s consent. It becomes kind of icky as Maggie is intimate with three of the four brothers.
She really is a victim and used by Jason and Josh. Thank goodness Jordan falls for Maggie and is able to figure out the truth. Jake is always supportive of Jordan, so it turns out that two of the four brothers are decent men. Not a fan of Maggie’s bad choices with being intimate indiscriminately with multiple partners, but I liked the way she took responsibility with her son and did what she could to take care of him.

There was a bedraggled woman holding up the line in grocery story trying to scrape up enough money to pay for her things when Jordan was in a hurry. He was becoming agitated the longer it took and then a baby started screaming on top of it. Jordon couldn't take anymore and just cut to the front of the line and gave the cashier money to cover the bill when the bedraggled woman called him by name. Turned out to be his youngest brother's ex-girlfriend. And she had a new baby?!? Surely his brother would've told him if it were his, right?
Lane Hart has taken a story about four brothers and their different personalities and infused an ex-girlfriend, a new baby and blended them with secrets from love, jealousy and broken dreams to bring this easy to read story that will keep you enthralled. Some characters were easy to love while others easy to hate. This one will tug at your heart strings.

All of the books in this series are great and this one is no exception. It delivers exactly what you would expect from a Lane Hart book. This one is full of twists, hurt, anger, lies, deceit, love and hope. Some very intense, sensitive issues are addressed, so be prepared for an emotional read.

Maggie is young and in love, but finds herself all alone with a baby. She turns to Jordon her babies uncle for help and finds herself with more than she was looking for.

Jordon steps up to help Maggie when he bumps into her desperate and penniless. He finds himself wanting to be more than just an uncle, but will he be there when all hell breaks loose?

Great writing, fantastic characters. Can be read as a standalone, although I suggest you read the whole series. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Then beginning of this book is so sad. Maggie is a single mother who is just trying her best to take care of her child. She is at the grocery store trying to buy food and things for her son Camden which she does not have enough money for meanwhile Jordan is waiting in line. He realizes that he recognizes her, he sees baby Camden and puts two and two together and figures out that baby Camden is his nephew. I love how Jordan searches for her finds her and figures out that Maggie needs help and just like a wonderful person he is he steps up to help take care of both Camden and Maggie. I love that the author made Jordan such a loving person. He step up to help take care of baby Camden when he realized that Camden was his nephew and that he was in need. I wish more people in the world would be like Jordan.

In the previous book you learn what happened to Jordan, Jason, Josh and Jake’s parents. It explains why some of the guys in the family act the way the do but not all. This book was very different from the the other books in the series but I didn’t love it any less. Jordan runs into Maggie at the grocery store and sees she has a baby. He quickly figures out its his brother’s baby. Jason was her on and off boyfriend for years. Jordan is a great guy and wants to help Maggie because it’s the right thing to do. But feeling definitely become involved. There’s a twist to the story that I didn’t see coming. There are some pretty intense and sensitive issues in this story too. I loved the book! A great read!

Jordan story.
He is one of four brothers. Jack,Jason and Josh.
He meets Maggie in the store. Total coincidence. She use to date Jason.
Jordan see how tired and distraught she looks. She has a baby, too.
Jordan with his soft heart try to help and support them, especially when Maggie told him who is a father.
Yes,she was on the wild side but after her family find out about pregnancy they kick her out.
She doesn’t have any support as baby father laugh in her face and left.
Now story gets complicated when Jordan really fall for her .
Will paternity test confirm who is a father? More complicated from now on.
Now have to find out about two other brothers. Already read Jack’s

Boy was I surprised at the turn this story took! Sometimes an unknown force brings two people who are destined to be the one together to a place in time where destiny can take its course. I think that is what happened with Jordan and Maggie and maybe his Mother may have had a hand in the two of them finally finding each other. Was the fact that Maggie had a history with one or maybe both of his two younger brothers be a problem? You will find out just what types of problems from Maggie's past these two have to overcome to see if they will find their HEA. Plain and simply, I loved this book!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

What an epic book!!!!! This is book seven in this series and is a standalone. Jordan pays for Maggie's groceries when she can't, not recognizing her at first. Then when he does he asks her a very important question. Is the father of her baby his brother? When she answers positively he abides by her request not to tell his brother....yet. He feels an immediate tug toward her and be fine helping her in spite of her protests. This is an awesome story with a great twist. I recommend this book and this series.

Some things are not as they appear.

This is the story about Jordan. He's Jakes brother. Before his parents accident. A girl came over and had dinner with the family. She was with the youngest brother. After the accident the brother was not nice to her. Off and on for years he led her on to then break her her again. Then she winds up pregnant. Jordan the oldest runs into her one day and helps her and the baby out. Seeing the family looks in the baby he springs into action. What will the test say?

This is the 7th book in the series and yet the author manages to keep it still highly interesting. The book has an amazing story with a good twist and deals with some serious matters experienced by Maggie. It has the steamy sex scenes typical of the series. Even though it is the 7th book, the story is fresh and very hard to put down. You’ll find yourself pulling for Maggie and Jordan to make it through. There are some moments that will twist your heart or make you smile. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]

This book was an emotional rollercoaster in a good way.

Maggie was Jason's on-again off-again high school girlfriend; they were both wild kids drinking, doing drugs, and sleeping around to make each other jealous. Maggie ended up pregnant with what she thought was Jason's child. Older brother Jordan finds out about the baby and steps up to take care of them. Meanwhile Jordan and Maggie fall in love and after several false starts have a HEA.

I found this novella to be an entertaining and compelling read. This book does have a storyline that I think will either be OK with you or not (getting involved with your brother's ex). For me it worked. There was a lot of angst, drama and emotional turmoil that kept me on edge and reading past my bedtime. I really liked both Jordan and Maggie and I really liked them as a couple. This was not a "fairytale" meeting, it was messy, complicated and real. What can I say; sometimes meeting the wrong one does lead to finding the right one. I am voluntarily posting a truthful review.

These brothers freaking share everything! I mean are there any single ladies in Greensboro because this one chick has slept with 3 out of 4 brothers?! There is a bit of sweetness to this book and I love the bit of heartache. I just have a personal aversion to the drinking of breast milk and that pushed me over the line. If you have been with the series this long then this is a good read ....not the best book of the bunch but definitely better then book 4.

This is the seventh book in the Gambling with Love series and if you have not started reading this series then you really need to start as it’s a great series to read. I love that Lane Hart dose not shy away form hard topics and the way she goes after the topics is so good you can’t help but be hooked into the read. I seriously suggest reading this series but for the beginning it’s so worth it.

Break your heart sad with tones of anger, angst and righteousness. The nastiness of brothers crossing the line, abandoned and denied children, living in poverty and the sight of a rainbow at the end of the tunnel. This book has so much that you alternate between sadness and killing anger and a smile for justice. Lane Hart is an awesome writer. Pulls you in and makes you invested in her stories.
