A great book for anyone wanting not only to understand more of the practice of Wicca and nature-based religions, but also for those who have been in the religion for a long time and are looking for new ideas and activities to celebrate the changing seasons as a solitary or in a coven. With easy to read information supplemented with personal stories, activity instructions and recipes, I would recommend this book to anyone looking to know more about Wicca and Paganisim.

Despite being ridiculously charmed by the cover, this was very, very Wiccan, which I am not, and didn't hold many new ideas for me for actually celebrating the seasons (although I'm definitely going to get a sun-shaped piñata for midsummer when my kid gets a little older!). Every time I considered dropping the book, I'd read a gem like "call upon the bliss of your ancestors" and keep going. Those were unfortunately few and far between though.

Full of information on historical facts, language and lore - however I found the writting style difficult to get into.
Interesting variations for rituals to have them done solo in groups, indoors or out, with children of various ages and also with non- pegan participants.
