He wanted my body. I wanted his baby.

When my father died after a horrific car crash, my mother remarried a filthy rich billionaire by the name of Donald Witherspoon.

Little did I know that this union would come along with a hot-as-hell stepbrother that would become the bane of my existence. He constantly walks around the Witherspoon estate with no shirt on, showing off his washboard abs and well-defined muscles. It’s all a game to torment me, you see.

He knows that I want him. After all, why else would he bring girls home night after night so that I can hear them scream his name?

I knew that if I was to make him mine, I’d have to give him something very special...something that would make him mine…forever.

I started reading this one about 2016, and guess what??? I didn't finish it... Perhaps I'm too busy, or perhaps step siblings romance don't appeal to me as much as ordinary romance. But as I was reviewing my shelves in ibooks I came across this one and reopen it.

Its a good read. Landish lay the story quite well. But the thing is, it becomes too direct. I thought there would have a third party but it cuts off. I been thinking of complications in the relationship and the pregnancy that didn't come up. And the ending I thought there would be a struggle, denials but the parents just accept what it is. And I thought, I guess I'm not the writer so I shouldn't think a lot more on this one.

Sibling romance happens in a real life situation. It can be avoidable but love sometimes prevail. It takes ones maturity to fight for what is right and to stand for your love. But sometimes you learn to give up, for sometimes love is not enough... Euw! Another plot... See you again some other time...

So, every once in a while I start a new game. My last game was "read the first book Amazon Unlimited recommends for me." That led me down a terrible path. A dark one. One that require ritual ablutions and alcohol.
My new game is "read the first book AU recommends that has "best book I've ever read" in the first five featured reviews."
I find myself back in the mikvah/river/bathhouse/standing shower/mystical waterfall, chugging a ball jar of moonshine.

First of all. This is NOT a book. It's barely a novella. When you download it, you're actually downloading like, 3 or 4 books.

MOVING ON:
These characters are every entitled fuck you've ever read. Label-loving, "high society," stuffed full of themselves assholes that no one ever really likes. I could not find a likable moment for ANY of them.
NEXT:
They're really young. REALLY young. She's not on birth control, he "forgets" some times to suit up like a man, and the MC is unsure how she ended up the duff? P+V+no C=BABY. (and judging by the parade of women Sebastian brought home before he started shtupping his stepsister? probably an STD or three. crabs. scabies. whatevs.)
Oh, and before the sis and bro decide to knock boots, he is A TOTAL JERK TO HER. Not just typical asshole Darcyish behavior, but TRUE MEANNESS. What a f*ckwit tosser.

save your space on your KU.
one star for someone spending the time to write it.
additional star added for pure shitshow entertainment factor.

After Cassie sees the endless stream of women in and out of her stepbrother's bedroom, she decides the only way to get over her infatuation with him is by finding someone to get under. A night out drinking and dancing should solve this. But when her stepbrother, Bastian, comes to her rescue, all bets are off. Bastian is a cocky, self absorbed player, but when it comes to Cassie, he just can't stay away. Cassie has feelings for Bastian, but will he be able to give up the player lifestyle and be only with her?
This is a story about love. It's about a player who falls hard for a sexy, strong woman. It is filled with lots of HOT STEAMY SEX ! HOT, RIP THE SHEETS SEX ! GREAT BOOK ! LOVED IT !

I'm a fan of stepbrother romances. The story between these two had me wanting just a little more. The chemistry between this duo was one most women dream of. The only bad thing I have to say, is I didn't care for the ending. It wasn't even finished. It left you hanging, and wondering 'what the hell?

A good read but would have loved for it to be much more longer. Definitely was not expecting the story to end at 30% of the book.

Writing style wasn’t to my liking. I do sometimes enjoy a stepbrother story but I didn’t really care for the guy in this one. Glad the story was short.

I was pleasantly surprised that this book read much better than I originally anticipated. It was an easy and engrossing read. I was especially entranced by Sebastian’s reaction to Cassie’s condition and his willingness – and desire – to pursue a life with her. Sebastian, for as much as he epitomizes the playboy nature and lifestyle, expresses a lot more heart and depth than expected – and the author’s storytelling ability pulls it off as believable. There was none of the overextended drama that often lines the pages of similar storylines. Sebastian and Cassie turned what could have been just “all-about-the-hookup” into a chemically charged relationship built on love and not just lust. Once again, Landish does a great job of creating characters the reader cares about and developing a believable and not over-the-top storyline.

Favorite part?

I was mesmerized by Sebastian’s reaction to finding out that Cassie was pregnant. Wow. When the two of them came home from their weekend away to confront their parents after the media posted pictures of them together, seeing how Sebastian and Cassie calmly stood by one another, shared their feelings and then he presented her with a ring, was swoon-worthy.

Hhmm

So this book wasn't terrible but wasn't great. It started off promising then felt super rushed. I didnt feel any connection at all between the characters. There just wasn't much personality. I think it would have been better if we got to read some of Sebastian point of view. But also the in the description of the book it says.... "I knew that if I was to make him mine, I’d have to give him something very special... something that would make him mine… forever." And "He wanted my body. I wanted his baby". To me it sounded like she was intentionally trying to get pregnant but that was not the case at all. I wish there was more details and more about the baby. I wanted to know how far along and maybe some damn feeling put into it. And Sebastian had literally hardly any reaction to the news. However, I did like that Sebastian character did soften a bit and that their parents were excepting.

I received this for my honest review.Sebastian and Cassie have been into each other for a long time but have never acted on it, until Sebastian takes things a little to far for Cassie and she is so frustrated she needs to seek out getting pleasure and satisfaction. Unfortunately she's ends up getting attacked at the club she's at and Sebastian comes to help her. This starts the chain of events that will hook you into their story. I really liked that the characters were so in love once they took the step to be together and didn't care what others would think. While reading this story you really can feel the emotion and chemistry between the two main characters. I like that the characters are committed from the beginning, this is a great story that you will love I am sure.

For all the 5 star reviews I found on Amazon, I really didn't like this book. The beginning was just a bunch of back story babble. Then everything happened as predicted. Where you'd expect some drama, like when Sebastian finds out she pregnant, when she pushes the guy in the pool, when her family finds out, everything just ended too perfectly. This story line could have been made into a novel, but it felt rushed and wrapped up to nicely. It needs to be messy. There needs to be drama. All the explanation done at the beginning needs to be removed and put when it's relevant to the story instead of reading two chapters about how big of a slut Sebastian is.

I am a very avid reader, always have been. And I must say that Bastian: A Secret Baby Romance; was by far the VERY BEST book to date that I've read. From the very first page I was hooked. I think it was a combination of a genius author as well as they forbidden so to speak attraction between Cassie and Sebastian. Although, no being blood related. I read and read until the very last page. I might just have to read it again it was that good. Koodos to an amazing story and author!!

I was liking the book. some if the writing wasn't the best compared to other Lauren Landish books I've read. and I also didn't think it would stop so sudden. I was surprised there wasn't another 5 chapters to finish the story. it just kinda stopped which was dissapointing. loved the story but it was so empty. I was really surprised

I'm confused! Cassie hears her step-brother, Sebastian, in his bedroom, night after night, servicing other women and her response is to not only fall in bed with him but to have unprotected sex. Then he gives her a ring and the story abruptly ends.

I enjoyed this story. It's got some steam and is a very enjoyable read. If you enjoy sexy, dominant males, smart and sassy women, a romantic love story, have an open mind and don't mind taboo situations then this book may be the perfect read for you. Good Job, Lauren.

Meh

There was nothing really attention grabbing in this book. The characters were boring. The story was too predictable and stale. Not impressed at all.

Was a decent read. The guy was just a huge jerk in the beginning. The girl was ok but she could have used a slightly stronger backbone. HEA
