Only married for three months, their faith is something they shared since they met. But will they remain united through an unbelievable encounter with an impossible visitor? How much do they trust each other? How much can they trust their visitor?Kayla hasn’t been married for long when she begins to hear a disembodied voice. While Jason is contemplating putting her away quietly, for her apparent insanity, he hears the voice too. What follows is the story of two people meeting Jesus, in a visceral and life-changing way, and facing the stunning revelation as a couple. Grateful that they can both see and hear Jesus, they meet with him together and separately throughout their days at school and work.Jason is in graduate school studying theology but wants to write novels. Kayla wants to spend more of her time doing her own paintings, but she has to make a living as assistant to two famous artists. Hosting Jesus in their apartment seems likely to change a thing or two about those dreams. The third book in the Seeing Jesus series, Sharing Jesus explores the expansion of belief and imagination, while revealing the depth of Jesus’s grace and love.
As a small boy in Lincoln, Nebraska, I listened enrapt to my grandmother reading me children’s stories, such as The Little Engine That Could. I also recall the elementary school librarian who read us Winnie the Pooh, imitating all the voices. And I remember the first summer I was allowed to ride my bike to the library on my own.
Writing started for me in school. Teachers encouraged me to pursue what they perceived as a gift. For me, my imagination was a challenge as much as a gift. I found the real world so much less enthralling.
In my Christian high school, the English teacher supplied me with unassigned novels. I wrote the senior class play and served as editor of both the yearbook and the school newspaper.
At Houghton College, I majored in writing, including coursework in poetry and fiction. But I also majored in biblical studies and was persuaded to take my writing skills in a more “respectable” direction—academia and nonfiction writing. Remember that less enthralling real world?
When all my academic work led to no great employment breakthrough, I hopped from there onto that rapid conveyor known as the tech industry. Starting in the 1990s, I shaped a new career, eventually starting my own computer consulting firm.
During those years, I focused on raising two boys and cherished the role of doing the bedtime reading, including attempting all the voices in The Chronicles of Narnia series. I also composed a few stories from scratch for my attentive little audience, usually around a campfire.
I started writing again in 2006. Following a friend’s suggestion, I meditated on scripture by imaging myself present on a day when Jesus healed an entire multitude. That meditation turned into my first novel, And He Healed Them All. Closing the gap between the sparse descriptions in the Gospels and what must have been a rich miraculous experience enticed me.
A series of unusual events (ask me someday) prodded me to write my second novel, The Reign: Out of Tribulation. I began self-publishing with those first two books. My third novel, Seeing Jesus, expanded into a series when numerous readers begged me for more. As it turns out, that kind of begging is hard to resist.
In all, I have published fifteen books on Amazon, fourteen of them as installments in one of my series. I am constantly working to improve my skills and to better share my message with the reading public.
Anyone tracking my address could guess that I’ve had some setbacks in my life. But God has stayed the same, even as I evolve and have to start over again.
Now I am married and living in Vernon Hills, Illinois, attending a vibrant church and meeting new people. I work part-time on my computer consulting business, and I devote much of the rest of my time to writing and marketing my books, with my wife as my highly motivated marketing director.
All things are possible with God! I stumbled across this series with the first book Seeing Jesus. As I read the story Mr. Jones wrote, my imagination started running away with the possibilities of what I would do if I had the privilege of having Jesus as a house guest and what I would love to learn at His feet. I know this is a story that Mr. Jones wrote and it should not be used for a person to get upset that Jesus doesn't materialize in their home, BUT what if He did? I found myself laughing, crying and praying that I could feel Jesus up close and personal as the characters in this series. The adage "Seeing is Believing" runs through my mind. I love a story that grabs my attention and I can place me in the main character 's place. Thank you Mr. Jones!
"Sharing Jesus" is a follow-on to "Seeing Jesus" and "Hearing Jesus" (both of which I previously rated as 5 stars), and is another enjoyable feel-good book! Jason and Kayla are a 20-something recently married couple, both recent college graduates, with Jason continuing his studies as a graduate student. First Kayla and then Jason discover they have a new companion: Jesus! And they get to share the experience with each other, and then later with some of their friends.
"Sharing Jesus" makes the point that Jesus lives in all of us, and is just waiting for a chance to show it. The book is a relatively easy read, and at ~260 pages, is only time-consuming if you want to revisit certain passages.
This was/is an amazing book.I had to stop and think along the way, you know? Maybe because I loss my son last month, I really don't know. But,it came at a Time I really needed it. Don't you think how if you actually saw Jesus face to face or heard his voice How enlightening it would feel? This newly married couple who are true believers and studying religion didn't Understand at first who was speaking to them, when talking to each other They began to realize what was going on. And then sharing the experience with people who had a true need to love and Believe in Jesus and being able to help them understand.wow what a amazing Experience. I have always through I believed. It this made me step back and examine these Feeling.
I love how real this book is and how it draws me towards a deeper relationship with God. Also it allows for freedom to believe differently without restrictions to one denomination or another. Out of the 3 Seeing, Hearing and now Sharing Jesus this book got started a little slower. But don't give up it's worth it. My only question is not about content quality but for some reason this particular book used so many commas it was almost distracting. They were just thrown in everywhere. That's just my own little issue probably. Otherwise it was A+.
I really enjoyed this book as I have the entire series. These books really bring home the fact that Jesus is ALWAYS with us and is just waiting for us to talk to him. It would be incredible to have Him show up like He does in the book but He really is there just waiting for us to talk with Him about everything .
I absolutely loved this book - it's a great reminder of the Love of God and how He wants to be with us and teach us His Ways. I loved every bit of this book but special mention must be made of the worship practice. I just sat and thought about my worship time and how limited it is. It was a good time to re-assess my personal worship - it was as if the writer primed my heart to think on worship... so difficult to explain. All I can say is, read the book and allow the Holy Spirit to move you into a new place in your fellowship with Jesus.
Inspiring read, had me in tears several times. Thought provoking, although I know Jesus is always with me this brought home for me. I can't wait to read the next one. Going to tell my pastor about it. A must for those wanting to be used by Jesus. Next to my Bible this has helped me surrender more of the adult me to a child like faith. Great job Jeffrey McClain Jones.
Another thought provoking and sometimes really funny book about people experiencing Jesus visible and audible presence in their everyday lives. An enjoyable way to think about how near Jesus really is to us and how we should listen and respond to his promptings. Be less judgmental of ourselves and less constrained by the opinions of others. A newly married couple who love Jesus but haven’t really understood just how much Jesus loves them.
A very unusual story. It would definitely take some imagination and sense of self worth to be able to survive a personal visit from Jesus. Very interesting how things played out and how Jason and Kayla were able to respond to Jesus . Can't imagine having that kind of experience. Assuming this to be a,work of fiction, I would give it 4 stars
I read the second book first not knowing it was part of a trilogy. Then I read the first book and lastly, this one, Sharing Jesus. I loved the second book a lot and this one is like the icing on the cake. Makes me so wish I could :) ave such an experience. I highly recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves Jesus .
I loved this book. It took me closer to Jesus, which I'm sure is the author's purpose. To write such a book, one had to know the Savior intimately. Kayla hears a voice. She's been married to Jason, who thinks Kayla may only be hearing voice-until it happens to him. Together they meet the Creator of the universe in a life-changing way. Beautiful.
This was such an awesome nook! This series has been my favorite of all time and I read a lot. I've already read 160 books this year and this is by far the best. I laughed and cried as I imagined myself in their situation. All Christians should read this!
This is the second book by Jeffrey McClain Jones I have thoroughly enjoyed! While I have tasted moments of intimacy with Jesus over the years, I love seeing Jesus portrayed realistically in our natural world. Enjoy the journey allowing His Presence to envelop you in His love as Jones shows the possibilities.
Literally just finished this book. Great story with hugely profound implications on how I see the presence of Jesus or hear him speaking inwardly. The character of Jesus is full of fun, compassion and love. This book helps me understand him and myself more. Beautiful and deeply emotional. I’d give this one a hundred stars!

Wow! Looking forward to reading book 4. I am jealous of the characters in the books, and although I know Jesus lives in all of us, how amazing it would be to really see Him, talk with Him, and know that you are actually doing His will.
Certainly this novel deserves five stars for the unique way it drew in the reader and led one to explore the very presence of God with the characters. An awesome way to help explain the omnipresence of God.
This is book three of a very uplifting series. They are quick reads that leave feeling good after reading. They tie into one another in a subtle but effective way.
I felt like I was with Jason and Kayla walking with Jesus. This book brought to life Jesus's abundant love for his children. In addition to this, the story of Jason and Kayla is thought provoking. I am looking forward reading the rest of the series.
Even though this is fictional...in between the pages are several wye openers on how we need to focus more on our relationship with Christ as against beign deserving....because in all sincerety, He loves us just the way we are!
I want to have Jesus stay with me for a few days. Can you imagine talking to and seeing the Son of God? This was such a wonderful story about a young couple who were believers but needed Jesus' help.
I have read thousands of books yet very few have moved me as this series has. I have to say that I highly recommend both this author and His books. You life will be richer for having read them!!!!!
I asked Jesus to lead me to books that I would enjoy, and that He wanted need to read. And he did. This whole series brings a reality and freshness to my walk with Jesus, without being heavy handed or focused on doctrine. Wonderful read.
This is the 3rd book in the series and I have really enjoyed these books. For me, these stories open up the possibilities of a closer relationship with Jesus and reminds me of His profound love for all of us.
I do read these with too much of a critical eye, they are really charming stories that, remind me that the Lord is with us by His Spirit and his promise is to be with us always, even to the end of the age.
The author has an amazing gift for turning a story filled with self-doubt into one filled with unabated hope and love for Jesus. It was both refreshing and stimulating. I can't wait to read Book Four in the series!
I'm reading these in order, and enjoyed the first two so much! This one was good, but I didn't connect with the characters as much as I did with the other two. Still enjoyed it, and will look for the next! I guess I need more words, so...
Another captivating novel of seeing and hearing Jesus!
This series is about learning who Jesus really is; how he's all knowing, funny, loving, caring, and more. I recommend this series to all believers who want to learn more about Jesus.
If you want a fiction book to impact your real life spiritual walk, look no further than! Just like the others I’ve read, I’ll have to meditate on this one for a bit before I start the next one.
