This is a Bible with enough free space on every single page that will encourage people who love art to create while reading through the books in it.

When it comes to the reading part, this Bible offers some helpful components:
1. It's using the NLT (New Living Translation) so it's easy to read even for people whose first languages are not English.
2. It's got a single column format text which can be easier to read than the usual double columns Bible.
3. It's got an 8.65-point font which is bigger than regular font size in a Bible so it's better for the eyes.

There are three editions of Inspire Bible and all the information can be found on their official website. What I like about this one is the size is not too bulky for me to carry it around.

description

Overall, this version of Inspire Bible has got more than 400 line-art illustrations to be coloured in as a nice jump-start before creating your own designs on the blank space.

I hope they'll add more illustrations in the future most especially on the pages of the books that are significantly longer than the rest e.g. Psalm. That way, the illustrations will be more evenly spread throughout all the books in it.

descriptiondescription

For people who prioritise reading the text more than creating art, the two-inch-wide ruled margins on every page is more than enough space for having fun creating. Other editions with wider space might be a distraction, IMO.

It does have several pages with full art designs on them if you want more. In general, there are plenty of ways for creative expressions in this Bible which is really nice!

description

In the long run, this Bible does just as written in its title: It inspires people to read and create! It might take more than a year to finish all the art projects in it but it's surely nice to see the results once all is said and done. The opportunities to create while at the same time learning more about the Creator is simply awesome!

I love this Bible! It is beautiful with line drawings which you can color in with colored pencils and ruled margins so you can write notes. It is nice to color in the drawings while you meditate on what you have just read. I can't believe no one has thought about this before.

Oh my gosh, this is a beautiful Bible! I love it! There is plenty of space to draw or write and there are pages where you can color the illustrations. I'm not the worlds best artist, but I'm drawing in this Bible. I want to keep a record of what God is speaking to me through passages.
The text is a good size so it isn't hard to read. As I age I find that helpful for my eyes. The translation is very easy to understand. I do like how they have footnotes on words to explain better the meaning of a passage.
I also find it helpful that they include an index of the passages that are illustrated so that if you are looking to see if a passage is illustrated you can just look in the index instead of having to find it in the Bible.
I recommend that you purchase gel pens, coloring pencils or the twistable crayons to use in this Bible. Regular markers will bleed through the paper. This is printed on thin paper so you don't want bleed through. Some people also use water colors, just be sure you get a mat to protect your papers.
I HIGHLY recommend this Bible! Even if you have another Bible I would buy this one (I did!) This one you can keep for marking in and drawing in more.

I liked that this journal was leather bound as it made it seem fancy. The fact that it was creative was nice as I felt like I could really understand it.

Last year a friend gave me a gift card to our local Bible book store. I had been wanting a Bible to color in. Each year I read through the Bible and I try to read a different translation each year. This Bible is the New Living Translation. Which is a paraphrase of the Bible. I wouldn't recommend studying God's Word with this translation, but for daily reading it is perfect. I loved all of the opportunities to color a page that helped me reflect on what a passage was saying. I plan on keeping this by my chair so that I can pick it up and color more pages. There were many illustrations that I chose to color and then there were many that I skipped over so I think it will be fun to go back through this next year and color some that I missed.

For 2018 I have chosen to read The Daily Bible in the NIV translation. It is a devotional Bible and is in chronological order. I'm usually not a fan of the chronological order because I like to start in Genesis and read through to Revelation, but like I said, I like to choose a different translation or format each year. One of the women I go to Bible study with gave us these Bible's for Christmas last year, but I had already chosen the Inspire Bible to read so now I will read the Daily Bible.

How about you? Do you read the Bible daily? Do you read through cover to cover? Do you like different translations? Do you like to read a "real" Bible or do you go for the electronic Bible's? Any thoughts on paraphrases such as this one or ones like The Message? Have you ever thought about creative journaling?

I absolutely love this bible. Being new to bible journaling I wanted something to start me off where I could be with the word and express what little arty creativity I have and at the same time have some pre drawn stuff. This did the job perfectly. It’s amazingly well made and a beautiful product. I am excited to spend time with the word each day and see what inspiration this bible will bring me.

I enjoyed reading this translation in Large Print. However, one of the reasons I purchased this version was because I thought I would enjoy coloring the illustrations, as I read through the Bible. I didn’t. I found that I read much faster than I colored—even doing additional study and cross-referencing. So, I discontinued my coloring within a very short time. I am very glad I read the Bible in this translation, and I did enjoy the black and white illustrations.

A great Bible for journaling (especially if you're not all that artistic!). The illustrations really reinforce some of the key verses.

I like the NLT quite a bit for Bible reading. If I am doing a deeper study I use a different version. This year reading the NLT was a true joy and I was able to grasp more understanding of myself and human nature through a godly lens. This particular book, the Inspire NLT, is tailor made for mulling over concepts and thoughts on the text. There are wide lined margins to write, journal, reference, or anything you want to use it for. I found myself half journaling, half writing self-study references and notes.
My Inspire Bible is also the large print so the pages are big with extra room for writing. The cover has a band around it, which I like, and a marker. The pages are nice thick, not thin paper, as in many other Bibles.
Additionally, there are various verses outlined i. Nice fonts with designs that you can color. Why color in a Bible you may ask? Well, I found it to be a time I would think on that specific verse or passage when I would pause to color. I tend to write in any Bible, or books that are educational, inspirational, etc. i just kept a small zipper pouch with my pens for note taking as I read, and a set of Crayola twistable color pencils (not crayons). I did not color even half of the designs, but I did on a few as I was “meditating.”
I continually read a Bible. When I finish through one, I begin another. I do not read the same translation back to back. For instance, I read the RSV through, before reading this. I am not sure how many times I have read the NLT through in my life, but using the Inspire NLT definitely added to the experience.
I highly recommend this for those who want to spend that extra time in the Scriptures.

This Bible only comes in a New Living Translation Bible. It comes in an 8.65 font, all black letters and is a single column. It comes in hard cover and soft cover. The margin is 2 inches with over 400 designed scriptures in the margins and full pages. This is a great coloring/journaling Bible because there are wonderful illustrations throughout. The inside front and back covers are full of Illustrations that you can use with different mediums. You will notice that the edges of the Bible are already made beautiful with colorful illustration of butterflies and flowers. It also contains a teal bookmark and an elastic band to help with closure.

I feel that this is a great beginner Bible for all ages that are starting out in Bible journaling. Its crisp, cream pages with the illustrations bring the books of the Bible come to life. With your own added touch, you will be able to customize this Bible as your own.

Please note I have received one of these Bibles from Tyndale House Publishing in exchange for my honest review.

The New Living Translation is written in more modern language, which makes it easier to read and understand. It is rather different from the translation that I grew up with, the New Revised Standard Version. That's not always a bad thing.

I picked up this particular Bible because it was designed for journaling. The pages are thin enough that I would be hesitant to use pen of any sort. I have used colored pencils and those work well.

For someone new to this kind of journaling, there are artistic verses to simply color. However, every other page has lined space where you can write your thoughts or create your own art.

Full disclosure, I bought this Bible because I wanted to color the beautiful illustrations. That said once I started reading it I found that I really enjoyed and learned from the NLT. There were times that I had a check with other versions to see if something was missing or off because the wording was so clear and understandable. I understand that it is more of a paraphrase than a translation but I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to read through the Bible for the first time or especially for young people. Beautiful edition and wonderful read.

I love this bible so much. I learned so much about our Lord Jesus Christ. This bible really helped me understand the word of God so much. I cannot wait to read the New Testament. I have been able to memorize verses so well by coloring the verses. This bible is amazing and I recommend it for all girls.

I loved this Bible!!! The Word is amazing by it self, but it wasn't until I got this that I start digging out it. Love the translation and the journaling features, making it personal.

I worked through this creative journal in one year and it was an awesome experience. I've done the Bible in six months before, and that was great, but doing it in one year gave me the opportunity to go slow enough to really enjoy it, yet fast enough that I was still moving. I also really loved coloring through the pages. I look forward to continuing to fill in the margins with notes.

The word of God is so true and it never fails. I truly pray that we would all find Jesus. He is such a gift! And he has personally made my life soooo beautiful! Give your life to Christ and he’ll give you things you did not even dream of and things that are eternal!
