Something is wrong in Rm. 201. Science teacher Ms. Fleek is just . . . creepy. So is her house. So are the students in her study group. And so is whatever just hatched out of the egg she sold to Ellie. Enter Ms. Fleek's school, but beware . . . something just isn't right here.
Side note: I read all three books from this series. On GoodReads it is grouped as three books but for the sake of this review, I will discuss specifically The Study Group.
The book dives into a setting of what appears to be a small high school. The characters are placed into a thrilling scenario, in which there is something quite sinister about one of the teachers, and at the same time, something is also wrong with the friend. Rogers uses a ton of character illustration to highlight frustration as well as wonder in this teenage mystery. Along with interplays on words with very compelling pictures, the text allows to visualize the story in its entirety, making the characters seem almost too real despite being fictionalized.
