TITLE: Royal Prick
SERIES: (A Stepbrother Romance, #2)
AUTHOR: J.L. Beck
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
RELEASE DATE: May 23rd, 2016

MY RATING
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I really really enjoyed the first book in this series so I can't wait to see where she's going to take me with this book!!
I've only just started this but from what I can gather so far is that you won't need to read the previous book 'Filthy' in this series, so this can be read as a standalone.

ROYAL PRICK: Told in dual POV (Royal & Noelle)

Royal's mother has reached her breaking point concerning Royal's behavior at school with fighting and has made the decision to ship him off to live with his father.

It was difficult being the hard, cold, asshole that I was.
Worst of all, because it wasn't my mom's fault that I was this way,
she just ended up having to take the brunt of it.

Royal doesn't want a bar of his father, let alone live with him and his new family

I didn't hate my father; hate wasn't a good enough word for how I felt about him. No, I wanted nothing to f#cking do with him.

I was Royal Black
And I was better at being an asshole
than anything else.

Now Royal was his father's problem

I don't want to be here, but since I had no other option I made a couple of promises to myself.
No commitments
No relationships
No friends.

Then we meet Noelle whose under the thumb of a very judgmental mean spirited mother, this lady tops the cake when it comes to her negativity.

I'm kind of liking this more than the previous step brother book in this series, being longer the feels are more in your face, and it flows better with it not being so quickly paced, both the main characters come from dysfunctional upbringings and other than their first initial attraction towards each other they have a strong connection.

“I want you so f#ucking bad,
so badly that it hurts to be away from you.
I feel whole when I’m with you, like the missing piece to my puzzle is you; like you won’t ever judge me for being who I am.
You understand the dark pieces of me, and you get the brokenness that swirls around inside of me.
You get me when no one else does or ever has.”

This is heads above the previous Step Brother book from this author, she just ticked all those boxes, the feels, the angst, the broken lost soul that made up Royal and the good girl Noelle with the heart of gold that tended to get walked over by her mother, so many elements to this book, which I think we all can relate to.

She shined the sun into the darkest places of my mind
making it easier to see things for what they were.

It's like Noelle didn't start living until Royal moved into the house, she came out from the shadows instead of hiding in them and grew a back bone against those who she needed to.

We were just two lost souls trying to find one another.

I had so many quotes highlighted that I wanted to reference in m review but then it would all just be made up of quotes.

I'd like to kick off this review with the fact that I LOVE stepbrother romance taboo books and I make no secret off it. Everyone knows I'm a kinky bird like that. So Royal Prick?!

It was one of THE BEST I have ever read. And that's saying a lot cause I've read loads ;)

ROYAL! Hottest bloke I've probably ever read.

I mean fighter boyfriend? Check.
Stepbrother? Check.
Sexy asshole? Check.
Redeemable cutie? Check.

What more could I possibly ask for? He melted my panties, crawled up in my muff and he's been there ever since. I love him. He was hot and cocky and an asshole but he also had an edge to him. Something that made him dangerous. And fuck me, it was HOT!

Noelle was such a sweetie. Bird can totally hold her own and she challenged Royal when he needed it but was also there to support him when he needed her to. She was an amazing female lead to read. We all know I love a badass chick and Noelle was stunning at the part.

I'm also a huge J.L. Beck fan and that's no shocker so I mean, yeah, trust her to nail a stepbrother romance book for me. I devoured it and I very strongly recommend it to fans of fighter romances and stepbrother romances. If you loved Need/Take by K.I Lynn and N. Isabelle Blanco and you love your fighter books then this is right up your alley. You'll love it. I promise.

But Royal is mine!

“You almost killed him Royal.” Sasha punched Royal in the arm, forcing him to turn his black orbs on her. I could tell the person she knew him as, was gone. In its place was a cold, heartless man.

“Good.” He scoffed brushing her away so he could rip off his shirt that was covered it grass, blood, and dirt. I stood there in awe, and terror of what I had just seen and what would happen next. Then the darkness in his eyes turned on me and I did the one and only thing I knew I could do.

I ran. I hauled ass to my jeep, by passing Jordan, and everyone else. She would be okay. It was me who wouldn’t be if I didn’t get the hell out of here right this second. My breaths came out in pants, as I ran to my jeep. I could hear heavy footfalls behind me but couldn’t stop not even for a second to look and see who it was that was following me.

“Go ahead run from me Noelle. Just know that when you get home I’ll be there waiting for you.” I stopped my body landing against the hood of my jeep as I shoved my hand into my front pocket trying to grab my keys. I shouldn’t have chosen the tightest pair of shorts I had.

“Come on princess, I thought you wanted to see me at my worst…” His voice was growing closer. The tone of his voice sent shivers down my spine and made my insides curl. Just as my fingers touched the cold metal of my keys I felt hot breath at the back of my neck. I stopped wiggling, hell I probably stopped breathing too.

“Is it true? What you said back there about not being mine?” There was so much deepness to his voice, the words he spoke vibrated against my skin as he skimmed his lips across the side of my throat. A quiver wracked my body. This wasn’t happening, not after everything that we had fought against.

“It is true.” The words came out in little puffs. I could feel the air around us change it grew hot, electrically charged, like that of the air during a summer nights thunderstorm.

“Don’t lie to me Noelle.” He growled, one of his fists coming out of nowhere and landing harshly against the car door. His whole body was covering me, crowding me, cornering me.

“It’s not a lie.” I was done fighting. Everything he did to Dom tonight was not needed not one single thing. I wasn’t his. To him I was just a brat a spoiled fucking brat. I didn’t know pain. Not like he did. I whirled around, coming face to face with the beast inside of him. I couldn’t look away as the darkness in his eyes ate at the good inside of me. I wanted him. I wanted him so fucking bad.

“You’re right, it’s not a lie. I want you too I want you bad enough that I would break the law for you. I would put myself in danger again just for you.” His words were harsh.

“I don’t need you too do anything for me…” His hand shot out, his pointer finger landing against my cold lips, all but telling me to be quiet. I could see the danger, it was right there, just like the trigger on a gun waiting to be pulled.

“For you Noelle I will do anything… There is no limit to the lengths I will go.” I was once again in a trance the power he had over me was overwhelming. I wanted to tell him no a million times over, there was no future, no nothing for either one of us. He was my stepbrother it was wrong, forbidden, dirty to have feelings for him. Wasn’t it?

“This can’t happen Royal. We can’t do this.” Somehow I got the words I wanted to say out. I casted my eyes down to the grass covered ground. If I looked into his eyes any longer I knew I would give in to whatever it was that he wanted.

Rough fingers touched my chin, forcing my eyes to come back up to his. My heart throbbed in my chest, and my body shook with desires I wasn’t even aware of. This was a dangerous game we were playing, one that could end with one or both of us hurt.

“I just want this…” The rest of his words were lost as he placed his warm lips against mine. The taste of blood overwhelmed me, and then it was as if nothing else mattered. The fight between him and Dom didn’t matter Sasha didn’t, my mom, his dad, nothing but us mattered in that one fraction of a second. Everything changed with the impact of that kiss. My knees bowed, and my body warmed all over. Pulses of pleasure filled my abdomen. I was melting into his touch, my nails digging into the muscles of his chest. A moan slipped out between my lips, and Royal was right there swallow up my small cries of pleasure from his lips.

I wanted him. No, I needed him. I needed that kiss like I needed air in my lungs. His lips devoured mine, his tongue slowly slipping into my mouth. Our tongues mingled together, the pleasure in my belly swirling around and around. I could no longer see what was up or down. I collapsed against the door of my car, Royal’s strong arms being the only thing that held me up. He continued his assault on my mouth and I let him.

So first she steals a title from Pepper Winters and now she steals one from Nikki Wild? I feel like Beck's writing is like a poor man's version, like the discount when you can't afford to buy decent books you settle for her dollar store knock off. I think the most suspenseful thing about her writing is whether or not she'll ever get an original idea. :/

Wow, check this out:

So she's begging people to flip through her book. Why not put some effort into writing a book that people finish...then she'll earn all the pennies she deserves.

5***** "Υou brought light into my darkness" stars from me!!

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review

Intense, raw, emotional and a little bit "dark" those are the main ingredients in this story and i can say that if i liked the first story of the Stepbrother series, this one i definitely loved!!! The author raised the level too high and honestly i can't imagine what fantastic story she can possibly create next.

"I always won it was the only thing i was good at. Throwing a fist and busting someone's face open. I had to find a better hobby, but for now this one would do."

Royal had a difficult life growing up without a fatherly figure creating inside of him emotions such as anger..lot's of anger, hate and not giving a sh*t about anything, the only way he could calm down himself and break out his tension is fighting, using his fist because otherwise his tension would climb up so high without a returning point. And now he has a chance to make up the lost time with his father the source of all these intense feelings but he didn't add to this equation his stepsister Noelle he didn't expect to find one more answer to change his "dark" life. I really loved his character, he is the type of arrogant that you like to read, he is also an Alpha hero, a possessive male and as the title says a prick. It was very refreshing seeing his character develop, and there was a constant mystery at how he will react or what he will say that kept the story very interesting to the point that you couldn't be sure at what to expect from this character.

"I' deserve whatever you can give me, whatever i decide i can handle."

Noelle on the other hand at the beginning was the exact opposite of Royal, she was the obedient daughter with perfect personality having perfect grades e.t.c but well the author created one of the most interesting transforming characters she was a kitty and became a bad-ass tiger surely she never lost her pureness and her light vibe but when Royal appeared in her life everything cleared in her mind and saw some facts as they truly were and just like that the obedient daughter/girl realized that she can stand up to the others and stop taking every b*llsh*t they threw to her. Even though she didn't admit/realize it she wanted Royal from the first time she threw her sights on him, there was an instant attraction between them and clearly they saw each other for what they truly are and not what others were saying. The game with the cat and the mouse made the story even more enjoyable with their conversations been clearly one of the highlights in the story. Almost every book has a villain and this one had Noelle's mother AGRR.. really i had to mention that i hated this scheming b... woman.. a lot. Been said that i surely have to say that i definitely recommend this beauty and that i'll be waiting for the next amazing story the author will "craft".

"You're no longer walking blindly in the dark. You'll always have my hand to hold, to grasp and squeeze when the times get hard. We can guide each other through this dark life."

Royal Prick by JL Beck is a stepbrother story you don't want to miss. It's a story about two teen step-siblings, Royal and Noelle, who are shaped into the individuals that they are by the demons they battle. Royal is pissed at the world and has a temper and bad attitude to show for it. His mother has had enough of his outbreaks and fighting, and even though she loves him more than anything, she's had enough and sends him off to live with his father and his family. Royal doesn't want anything to do with his dad and his happy little family. He is very angry with his father, who left him and his mother when he was an infant and he makes it a point to let his dad and his family know. What he doesn't expect is that his stepsister is perfection and everything he doesn't deserve. Noelle is innocent, sweet and has a very kind heart. She is nothing like her mother, who is mean to the core and does everything in her power to keep Noelle obedient. Unlike Royal, Noelle can't wait to meet her stepbrother, even though he has this bad reputation. Soon, Noelle finds herself in a world wind of emotions that she's never felt before. One minute she's hating Royal and everything he stands for and the next lusting after him and wondering what it would be like to have him take her. What neither Royal nor Noelle anticipate is the influence they have on each other. Royal wants to be worthy of Noelle and with her he allows his walls to come down, exposing his soft and caring side; controlling his hunger to lash out by not fighting and controlling his anger. Noelle becomes more ruthless, speaking her mind to anyone who dares cross her, bully her or control her. In the past she swallowed her pride and allowed others to walk all over her, but not anymore. Can Royal be everything Noelle needs and deserves? Will Royal and Noelle have their happily ever after?
JL Beck did a beautiful job showing both Noelle and Royal's insecurities, battles within themselves and transformation from who they were to whom they've become. Truths were revealed that explained a lot about the true villain in this story and how actions and decisions affected the lives of Royal and Noelle. Well done JL Beck, great addition to A Stepbrother Romance series.

The Characters Where Strong And Most Definitely Troubled But Who Wouldn't Be Given There Circumstances. Royal And Noelle Where Definitely Star Crossed Lovers And Were Ment To Be Together.

Review

description

I didn’t have the pleasure of reading the first book in this series, but there was something to be said about the blurb for this one, that made me want to overlook that and dive right in, evening knowing nothing of the writing style of the author or the characters that I would be reading about.

Step-brother romances for me are a guilty pleasure of sorts. I don’t read them all the time, but when I do, they usually give me the break from the more emotionally gripping tales I’m looking for.

This step-brother romance wasn’t like that. At all. This one stood out from the ones I’ve read before because it had its moments where it did bring the emotion. Did grip me and make me feel more than some others have in the past.

I will admit that at first, this book was a little hard to get into for me. I can’t really say for certain why that was, like there wasn’t one specific instance where I just felt things dragged or I wasn’t intrigued by the characters, but for the first couple of chapters, I did struggle. But once I got past those, the pacing seemed to pick up, we were thrown straight into the thick of things (right around the moment when Royal is sent away and starts over, really) and business certainly did pick up.

From that moment on, the action, the interactions, it didn’t let up. The pacing stayed consistent and I was pulled into the relationships between not only the two people that were destined to fall in love, but also the secondary family dynamic. I will say that there were a few moments that seemed rather out of this world as the story progressed in terms of the family, especially Noelle’s mother (Royal’s unfortunate step-mother), but they weren’t so outlandish that in the end they took away too much from the story.

This being my first foray into this author, I’m definitely pleased with the result. We had a bad boy who just under all that bravado was just oh so damn sweet, while still remaining alpha in the moments that mattered. We had a fighter (which, for some strange reason, pulls me in a lot more lately than it ever has) and we have a fractured family that in the end sets the stage for some pretty major growth from quite a few of the characters. All of the nonsense from that stepmother you just love to hate, it had a purpose and one that by the end of the book revealed itself in the best possible way.

Setting these two characters free to be who they are meant to be, but more than that, be better than what they were when they started.

It was steamy, romantic, hot, gripping and at times downright emotional, maybe even a little scary (with the event that takes place with Noelle later in the book). It was a step brother romance, but it was more than just that and I’m definitely glad I caught sight of this and took the chance as it was an enjoyable ride.

My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me read this book before its official release. If you’re looking for a step-brother book that’s just a little different from the rest, give it a try. Hopefully like me you’ll enjoy Royal and Noelle’s journey.

5 HOT STARS for J. L. Becks latest Stepbrother romance

I was kindly provided with an ARC in exchange for an honest review and honestly I could not put this book down.

"I don't control the pain, the pain controls me"

Royal has issues, like deep issues and how he solves them is by fighting, it's his way of releasing the pain that flows through his body. His dad left when he was young so it has been just Royal and his mum, until Olivia can't handle his behaviour any more and ships him off to stay with his estranged dad.

He's more than prepared to let his rage continue especially as the decision to move was out of his hands.

"I was Royal Black and I was better at being an asshole than anything else."

Then life throws him a curve ball in the shape of his stepsister Noelle.

Now I've never been the biggest fan of the stepbrother genre but I couldn't help but be drawn in by Royal's bad boy persona and of course his down right sexy body and this was also something Noelle couldn't resist either.

This wasn't your typical forbidden romance as there wasn't anything necessarily keeping these two apart, except themselves but it was more their back stories that drew me in. It was gritty, definitely emotional and then when you put those two together it became hot as hell!

"Together we're like gasoline and fire. No good for each other. A single spark could end up burning both of us beyond repair"

Drama, love, dysfunctional families and plenty of sex appeal. Royal Prick comes highly recommended from me. My only negative which I seem to be repeating quite a lot lately is that the epilogue was a bit short for my liking.

This is the second book in this series however they can be read as a stand-alone book. This book is fantastic. There is lots of angst, sexual tension, anger, and more. Royal is being forced to go live with his father by his mother after acting out and getting in fights. He intends to do as much damage as he can while living with his father however things quickly change once he gets there. He can’t believe his father went and got himself another family after leaving him and his mother. He quickly finds out that not everything is as it seems. The step sister he so wanted to hate isn’t much better off than he is. Worst of all he is wants her for himself. She brings out protective instincts and when he acts like an ass to her she invokes the same feelings as when he treats his mother like that, supreme disappointment in himself. Noelle wants to give her stepbrother a chance. Then he arrives and she can’t believe the way he acts. She quickly sees through him to the truth, that he just wants to be loved. She is also just as attracted to him as he is to her. So many things happen in this book and the buildup is fantastic. Nothing is as it seems in this book. This book is much more than just a romance. I love Josi and all her books. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next one in this series.

So as much as I hate to admit it, I find myself drawn to the stepbrother books. This was unlike any I've read before. Normally it's all about the meet and hiding the relationship from the parents. Them sneaking around and having loads of sex. This one however was different from that.
Royal has a lot of resentment towards his dad. He has a ton on anger that he releases on others. He fights for money and sometimes just for fun. His mom is tired of it and sends him to his dads house. The minute he meets Noelle, something changes. He realizes he needs to be a better person in order to win her. Noelle, on the other hand, has lived the privileged life. She goes to a private school and has amazing grades but her life isn't as great as it seems. She has a mom who wants her to bet perfect and will stop at nothing to get it. She has a built at school and she only gets worse when Royal shows up.
This book is all about finding yourself, standing up for yourself and letting yourself open up to love. I love Noelle so much. She started out as a shell of woman but soon became a badass. She was standing up to bullies and getting what she wanted in her life. Oh and yes in the beginning, Royal was a major prick but after finding out the truth and falling for Noelle, he changed. This has to be the best stepbrother book I've read!

*I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Royal Prick is the second book in the A Stepbrother Romance series. It is the story of Royal and Noelle and can be read as a stand alone.

Royal has not had an easy life. Being abandoned by his father at an early age has left him filled with anger and resentment. As a result, he is constantly getting into fights. His mother sends him to live with his father hoping that when he finally learns what really happened between her and his dad, his anger will fade. Of course, Royal doesn't want anything to do with his dad or his dad's other family. When he first meets his stepsister, Noelle, he thinks she is a stuck up rich girl. However, as he gets to know her, he realizes that he is completely wrong about her. Noelle is gentle and kind. Even though she has been beaten down by her mother her entire life, she has never let her mother's hurtful words and actions mar her golden heart. Can two broken people come together to make each other whole?

Wow, this is a great book! Royal and Noelle are a great couple! And the chemistry between them? It is off the charts HOT! Hurry up, and one click this now! I promise you won't be disappointed!

This is honestly one of the best stepbrother books I have read.. and that says a lot because I read plenty of them. But then again J.L. Beck never ceases to amaze me with her ability to deliver an amazing story. I was hooked from the beginning even though Royal was as the title states a prick!

Royal is just oh so yummy its not even funny. Completely swooned the whole book even when i wanted to throttle him 5 ways from Sunday. Hes a fighter, stepbrother, jerk, hot, doesn't take no ones shit and can melt panties by just a handful of words. But there is more to him than what he lets people see. but Noelle.. She sees him.

Noelle although a bit naive at the beginning she grew herself a pair and finally stuck up for herself not only with those in school but also with her mother. She grows this backbone that you cant help but love her for. She challenges Royal when he needs it even when hes pushing her away in the worst possible & meanest way.

Mrs. Beck keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting to know more about why Royal is the way that he is and when the pieces come together you fully understand everything and want to throttle someone else.

So what are you waiting for? if you love fighters & stepbrother romance reads then this is a book you do NOT want to miss.

Royal Prick is J.L.Becks BEST book so far.

I went in to this book thinking that it's just your typical run of the mill Stepbrother romance book, that it's just like all the other Stepbrother books out there BUT I couldn't have been more wrong. I was sucked in from the first page.

This is a dual POV, first we meet Royal Black a very angry, arrogant and cocky guy who has had a bit of a poor upbringing. He has anger problems and fights constantly which results in his mother sending him to live with the one person he hates more than anything..... His father and his Stepmother and stepsister. This is when we meet Noelle who is quite naive to start with and only wants to see the good in people, even Royal that is until she realizes how much of a jerk he actually is. Their chemistry is explosive, there is so much angst and sexual tension between them that it's practically dripping off of the page. Even though they are both attracted to each other, they are both trying not to cross that invisible line. Noelle is the forbidden fruit, will Royal take a bite or can he walk away. Get the book and find out for yourself

I give this a solid 3.5 stars. Thanks to Josi for the ARC of this book. This is not usually my genre... (The taboo of stepbrothers). Seems like when one came out, all the sudden the reading world was flooded with Stepbrother romances. I was hesitant to read this but was intrigued by Josi's teasers. Add to Josi's writing style and I figured it'd be a good read. I'm so happy to say that it is indeed a good read. Royal does indeed live up to his name but over time you see a different side to him, thanks to Noelle. She is not who Royal thinks she is, a spoiled brat but instead sees a part of Royal that no one else bothers to see. I wish the story would have had a bit more interactions with Noelle and her mother. I felt as if that relationship (the complexity of it) was not explained as well. It seemed to throw me for a loop but made sense once it developed. I pretty much guessed what had happened to make the back story and had wished that there was more character development on that part. Still I enjoyed this story. It kept me hooked.

This was a highly anticipated read for me! I enjoyed Royal from start to finish, from the angsty teen to the quite wonderful man at the very end. Then there was sweet Noelle, who while she didn't have as big a chip on her shoulder as Royal did about the whole arrangement... Royal certainly didn't make her life easy so it was easier for her to dislike him than not. It was great. I'm usually pretty picky about my stepbrother taboo books, only because I think most of them are ridiculous in their "I slept with my brother" -- no, hun, he's not your brother; your parents got married three seconds ago and you slept with him well before that -- but... Any way, my soap box.

Royal had his cocky moments, his arrogant moments, but it was those moments that he realized he needed Noelle more than wanted her, that he truly shone for me. And the ending...? Oh, how I love a good ending, and this one certainly had me more than happy for Noelle and Royal.

Royal is definitely the ultimate step-brother that I have read from J.L. Beck's stepbrother series.

He tops them all as he conquers his inner demons with the help of the beautiful Noelle. J.L. Beck broaches on the taboo topic carefully and artistically. I loved every single moment of this because it truly painted this picture into my heart. I felt that this book was well-developed and is definitely something that I cherish throughout my life.

Personally, I can't say how much I enjoyed this book because then I would be giving away spoilers and I don't want to do that because this book is something that you will want either through Kindle Unlimited so that you can read it over and over again or just end up buying it at this bargain price.

Royal is someone that will make you muscles clench. In a good way or a bad way is the question.

This is the first book for me by this author and I really liked it.
This book follows the characters of Royal Black, a hardened young man with to much anger and frustration that causes him to seek out fights to release the anger, and Noelle Black, his stepsister through his father. When Royal and Noelle meet, all he wants is to cause her as much pain as he feels, but as he learns more about her so called "perfect" life, he realizes that she is more important to him than he'll ever know. Sparks begin to fly between the two, and Royal will stop at nothing until she's his.

I had high hopes after reading Filthy, which is another "step-brother romance" by Josi that I loved and I was not disappointed at all!!! I loved Royal Prick!! I had many emotions and that is what I look for in a good book. One that can suck me into the story, keep me there, and then spit me out thinking,"Wow, I really liked that!!" I can definitely recommend this book and I really hope you do yourself a favor and buy it!! And if you love it as much as I do make sure you get Filthy too, if you haven't already read it!! You get your HEA ending with lots of hot sex in between!!

Completely LOVED! This read had me wanting to kick Royal in the butt a time or two and high-five Noelle whenever she spoke her mind. I didn't want to stop reading because I just had to know what caused things to happen the way they did & because I had to see what was going to happen with Royal & Noelle & all of their "forbidden" attraction. JL Beck does not disappoint!! We get angst, we get emotions like crazy, we even get some mystery! A step-brother read that will have you turning pages like crazy!!

This second book in A Stepbrother Romance was sexy, and heartfelt. Royal needed some male guidance to help him with his anger issues so was sent to live with his father. Noelle, his kind and caring stepsister wanted to help Royal see the good in life. They were opposites in so many ways but were they more alike than they realized? As they start to build a relationship, will the secrets that have been buried threaten their fragile trust? This angst filled story had a depth I hadn't expected. It was intriguing, fast paced and engaging.

Beck did an awesome and fantastic job in this stepbrother romance I mean like totally freaking FIVE STARS and beyond awesome. I love her work and her imaginative ideas that get scooped together into this wonderful story. This story is of hot lust, betrayal and so much entanglements that will leave you breathless. Mrs. Beck puts a whole new spin to step brother romances for her readers.

I really liked the characters Royal and Noelle. They are complete opposites but at the same time they are just alike. Royal's dad is married to Noelle's mother who is a raging b*tch according to Royal. She really is. I hate her character with a passion, she makes me fictoicidal (fictional homicidal). The ending of this book was my favorite cause everyone got a happy ending.

Royal and Noelle are probably my very favorite couple from J.l Beck. Their story is incredible. Royal has had hard life. Being abandoned by his father has left him filled with rage and resentment.
Noelle is sweet, kind, and caring and refuses to give up on Royal no matter how hard he pushes her away.
This is a full length novels, it's hot, sexy and taboo.
If you like your love stories full of nitty gritty bad ass characters then this is the book for you.

Wow. Royal SWOON. From the first PAGE. I was pulled in and trapped. Royal is a closed off, well can't use the word he even discribes himself but let's say bad boy to be nice. But this wasn't like any other step brother book this is one of JL' s best. It grabs a hold of you and you fall in love with the characters and pulled in to the story. This has got to be my favorite step brother book. Because it's so unlike the rest. I enjoyed this more than fifty. Just wow needs more than 5 stars.

Reading this book you can feel the turmoil, the uncertainty between Royal and Noelle. Noelle tries so hard to be everything that she was brought up to be. That is until Royal shows up at her door and shakes up her whole world. Royal, on the other hand just wants to rebel and makes every wrong decision until Noelle shows him that there are alternatives. But how can this possibly work ? They are playing with fire, who will get burned ?

This is one of my absolute favorite stepbrother romances. Royal is a menace and his poor mom has to force him go live with a father that has not been in his life. Noelle what can I say? She everything he wants and everything he feels he doesn't deserve. She's sweet, smart, sees the good in everyone and he wants to be better for her, but will his evil stepmother ruin those plans? Find out if Royal really lives up to the name Royal Prick.
I give this book 5 stars
