Pride and Prejudice meets Veronica Mars in this sexy, enemies to lovers romance.

Kimberly
I had always thought Owen Whitfield fit the mold of the brainless jock perfectly. Group of idiot friends? Check. Vapid girlfriend? Check. Ego bigger than the moon? Check. As long as he stayed out of my way, coexisting with his kind was doable. Until one day our worlds collided, changing everything. He pissed me off so badly that I had no choice but to give him a taste of his own medicine. Little did I know that my act of revenge would come back to bite me in the ass. How was I supposed to know Owen would turn out to be the best partner in crime I could hope for?

Owen
I never paid much attention to Kimberly Dawson, but I knew who she was. Ice Queen was what we called her. She was gorgeous, no one could deny that. But she was also a condescending bitch which was enough reason for me to stay the hell away from her. She thought I was a dumb jock and that was okay until she came crashing into my life. Against my better judgment, I let her embroil me in her shenanigans, forcing us to spend too much time together. It was my doom. She got under my skin, she was all I could think about. I never thought I would be the knight in shining armor to anyone, not until she came along.

I always knew creative arts were my calling but not in a million years did I think I would become an author. With a background in fashion design I thought I would follow that path. But one day, out of the blue, I had an idea for a book. One page turned into ten pages, ten pages turned into a hundred, and before I knew, my first novel, The Prophecy of Arcadia, was born.

I live in Florida with my husband and baby daughter. I'm currently working on the Arcadian Wars series, the Elements series, and the Love Me, I'm Famous series.

Arcadian Wars is a YA Paranormal/SciFi Romance series. It follows the life of a group of teens who possess incredible powers and have a very important mission: save their planet and in the process, save Earth too. The first book, The Prophecy of Arcadia, and the novella, The Fall of Arcadia, are already available. The second book, The Phoenix Shadow, will be published in the summer of 2015.

Elements is a new YA Paranormal Romance series. It focuses on two sisters who hold the key to stop a full-blown war between elemental beings and humans. Look for the first book by the end of 2015.

Love Me, I'm Famous is a NA Contemporary Romance series and each book will be a standalone focused on different characters. As the name of the series suggests, at least one of the characters in each book will be somewhat famous. The first book is slated to be published later in 2015.

4stars!

When I read a description about this book, first thing in my mind was good girl-bad boy relationship. On some way it does have some similarities, but on another hand it is completely different.

Kimberly is reporter in her high school. She does have a good grades like a good girl in most of the books and that would be her only connection with that sentences. She is not very good with orders. So when school director say don't talk in newspaper about what you saw or if her dad say don't try to investigate if Lorenzo really is criminal- of course she will do it!!

But than, we have Owen. Hot body, great athlete and even better artist. In this book may or may not, happened one incident with spiled coffee and than nice noodle.

I enjoyed reading this book, with smile who couldn't get off my face. This is combination YA/NA, which I'm finding that I like.

I could complain about number of pages in this book, but I will just imagine it like a introduction of first book.

Now, excuse me, but Supernatural is waiting for me. :)

Kimberley Dawson, aka the Ice Queen, and Owen Whitfield have absolutely nothing in common. In Kimberley’s opinion, nothing is more infuriating than an arrogant dumb jock, walking around school like he owns the place. So, she can’t understand the reason why the entire school seems to believe she hooked up with Owen. In reality, they are best enemies and things get complicated when they are forced to cooperate on an English assignment.

Despite her prejudice, Kimberley has to admit that Owen is rather smart and funny. He is even ready to help her play Nancy Drew and prove that a student has been wrongly accused of a theft, due to a setup. Owen and Kimberley are the best partners in crime, or rather partners to expose the criminals.

I loved their funny banter. They have great chemistry, even if both are fighting the attraction they feel for each other. But when Owen won’t hesitate to risk his life for Kimberley, she will finally accept to live in the moment and embrace her feelings for him.

This high school romance, told in dual POV, was a very pleasant and suspenseful read that kept me interested from beginning to end. My only complaint is that it was too short, I wanted to know more about the characters and their "Happily Ever After" ! But I’m sure they will appear in Ms. Soars’ future books in this series.

If you can’t stand high school romance between the nerd and the jock spiced with mystery, this is not for you. But if you love these stories where you can immerse yourself in high school drama, relish witnessing battles between the nerdy school newspaper journalist and the hot blond muscled football player and enjoy a good mystery then, just buy some popcorn and let the show begin!.

Kimberly is 17 years old and had a very bad day, beginning with her broken school bag and followed by a white shirt being soaked in coffee when one of the school jerk (aka football player), Owen, bumps her elbow. Do you think Owen would care to apologize? Noooo, of course not.
Determined to have her revenge, she’ll dump her (cold) spaghetti plate on his head at lunch. Owen can’t believe she did it and, for the love of God, can’t fathom why she did it.
»Did I hook up with Kimberly and forget about it? I immediately dismiss the idea. I would never hook up with the blonde in front of me. She is a crazy bi@ch and condescending as f@ck”

This is not the end of bad karma for Kimberly as later in the day her assigned project partner in English class is none other than Owen… Just a day in Hell for Kimberly.

To say these two don’t mix would be an understatement. Kimberly is known as The Ice Queen and she sees Owen as a dumb jock.
 photo 388227f0-ce36-4dab-bedb-81d5274c3de7_zpsfqzcb6mz.jpg

Forced to work together, Owen will soon realize the Ice Queen is really hot. He can’t put her out of his head while Kimberly is determined not to succumb to his charm and gorgeous muscled body. Their banter and game of “I want you …not” is only the first layer of the story as the most important part of the book revolves around a mystery to solve in order to save the cousin of Kimberly’s best friend.

Honestly, I did not expect the mystery factor and I was delighted to discover this was not only a high school romance. I also loved how the author chose to depict her “typical” characters (nerd/jock) and grace them with some unusual character traits or hobbies, hobbies I would not expect from the hot football player. Kimberly was a nerd but not a shy one nor was she shunned by other students either as it often happens in other novels. She also had a peculiar view of sexuality for a 17 years old brainiac. It was a fresh and interesting perspective and coupled with the mystery factor, a winner in my books.

I read this story in one sitting, not overwhelmed by emotions or angst but with a huge smile plastered on my face. It was light, it was funny, well executed and highly entertaining. My only complaint? It was too short. Kimberly and Owen worked so well together I would have loved reading one more chapter about the “after ordeal” before the epilogue. I also loved reading about Liv’s great sister as this novel could be seen as a prequel to Wonderwall. I really hope I’ll read more about Kimberly and Owen in another of the “Love Me I’m Famous” book.

I like this book.

If you don't have a ton of time and don’t want to challenge your brain too much then, this is the right book for you.

It's a cliche read but on the other hand not so much.

We have THE girl and THE boy.

description

They don't have very nice opinions about each other but after one school assignment, some quality time together across the state border, a few life-threatening situations, hot sex mix with little pain, one serious injury,.. they realize they were wrong all along.

It's maybe not brilliant writing and not something totally new and unique but through the book, my face was always like this

...and in "my book" that is reason enough for the good rating.

Let’s teach the brainy high school newspaper reporter and the arrogant jock that just maybe they each have redeeming qualities by throwing them together on a hunt to prove that the wrong boy has been accused of a crime and the actual criminal is a high school hero. Kimberly, the school Ice Queen and Owen, the in-crowd jock will discover who truly has your back and who really knows your soul when their lives are on the line in this entertaining high school romance filled with the suspense of “the chase.”

It wasn’t enough that the gods had given Kimberly Owen as her English project partner, does he have to be so full of surprises and well, brains, too? Like an annoying flea that keeps buzzing her ear, Owen seems to revel just a little too much in keeping Kimberly off center. For her part, Kimberly must determine to partner with Owen on her secret mission to uncover the truth behind the school thefts.

And like they say, opposites attract, but are they truly opposites or are they both victims of the games people play? What will they find if they survive their amateur private investigating?
M.H. Soar has taken teen high school drama to a new high in Catch You a she splits the points of view between Owen and the feisty Kimberly. Half mystery, half “the worst of high school” antics, there is humor, anger, immaturity and determination that will both amuse and glue you to each page just waiting to see what will happen next between these two charming characters.
Don’t look for a deep and cerebral read, look to be entertained as life at high school just got a whole lot more interesting! Great dialogue, great tension, with a little luck and heroics thrown in.

Well, i was already familiar with Owen and Kimberly because of their part on "Wonderwall" and i have to admit that i was liking very much this intense couple...

I knew how was their life together for many years during Olivia's and Sebastian story, since Kimberly was Olivia's sister!!!
What i didn't know was their beginning and i was so happy that at this point, there's nothing that i don't know about them...

I also didn't know that in theιρ highschool years, they hated each other's guts... and how polar opposites they were...

Kimberly was the "Ice Queen" of the school... She wasn't a part of the cliques and she just enjoyed to write articles for school's newspaper and to be with her boring boyfriend...
But in the inside, her blood was boiling and she wanted to live wild and dangerously...

Owen was one of the stupid jocks in school... He was dating one of the cheerleaders and he was making fun of those who weren't part of his clique, including Kimberly...
He was so cocky and self-absorbed... but at a weird way so sweet!!!

"I've never met someone who could annoy me and get me excited at the same time. I never once looked twice in Owen's direction, but today, it's like he's bathed in pheromones...
It was so much easier to loathe him when I thought he had no gray matter between his ears. The fact he's hot, funny, and smartis a deadly combination for me."
{Kimberly}

"Now, that she finally has my attention, I can't get over how stunning she is. She possesses a cold beauty that hurts if you stare at it too long. Or maybe it's just the daggers she's shooting at me with her eyes." {Owen}

A dump move of Owen's part, a hateful payback, an English assignment that they had to be partners in it and a weird, crazy investigation made Kimberly and Owen to come closer and to get noticed each other and then their words turned upside down...

Unknown feelings crept up inside their hearts, feelings that took them a while to acknowledge...
And that was the beginning of Owen and Kimmy!!!!

"This crazy attraction was getting ridiculous and I realized to my dismay there was only one thing I could do to get over Ice Queen, getting her under me. I was fucked." {Owen}

"Owen stares at me like he wants to eat me up and I don't know what to do with myself. Two weeks ago his come-hither look wouldn't have affect me. What changed?" {Kimberly}

I liked very much Owen and Kimberly...
I liked the way that they were lusting over each other and how they refused to accept what was in their hearts...

I liked how crazy and reckless they were and how intense was the sense of honor inside of them...
They lived a crazy adventure that bond them even more and i enjoyed every single moment in there!!!

God, i loved their epilogue nine years later....

"It's crazy to think I almost turn my back on my feelings for him nine years ago. He's the air I breathe, the fire in my heart, the perfect partner, the perfect father. I can't imagine my life without him now."

I also adored that we took some glimpses of the younger Olivia and Sebastian in this story...

...and i'm dying to get my hands in the next book of "Love me, I'm famous" series!!!

INITIAL THOUGHTS
So I don't usually read much of the contemporary genre but I really fancied a change of genre so decided to give this one a go.

REVIEW
I downloaded an e-copy via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. The cover's main feature is a female who I would say is a representation of Kimberly, one of the main characters in this novella. I think the female looks a little like actress Sam Janus across the eyes area. Is it a look of innocence and/or naíveté on the cover or is it the pose of someone used to fame and photographers? I guess I will find out when I've read the novella! Would the cover make me pick this book up from a bookstore shelf? Mmm not so sure if I am totally honest, I know once I picked the book up and read the blurb I would be interested in reading it and i do like the cover too.So the book has two main characters and is told from their points of view. Kimberly Dawson who is strong, determined, has very defined morals of what she considers right ad wrong. Kimberly writes for her schools newspaper. Kimberly's best friend is Larissa. The other main character within this novella is Owen Whitfield, he is a typical school jock who has a reputation when it comes to girlfriends. At the moment he has a kind of love/hate relationship going on with the air headed Leah. Owen is much more interested in the next soccer game and how his team can win it.
Kimberly's day starts off badly when her bag breaks leaving her to carry all her books. It's whilst Kimberly is juggling her school books, heading towards best friend Larissa that the noisy, clumsy jock, Owen Whitfield knocks her elbow causing all her books to be scattered all over the floor. The thing that irks Kimberly the most is that she has now spilt her drink all down her once pristine blouse too! To further infuriate Kimberly, Owen not only doesn't apologise, he doesn't even seem to notice what he has done.
Kimberly quickly forgets her stained top when she discovers the latest school news. As a reporter she naturally wants to cover the story of the school computer theft, but Kimberly is instructed to leave the classroom by Mr Prescott, the Principal and ordered not to write about the theft situation for the school gazette. At first this irritates Kimberly, until she decides to go ahead and write an article for the Littleton News instead. The Principal only forbade her to write for the school gazette!
Later Kimberly decides to reap her revenge on the unsuspecting Owen Whitfield who is sitting eating his lunch with the other guys from the soccer team. The guys laugh at him when his girlfriend requests he got to the clothing store with her to check his eyes and her dress for homecoming don't clash! Owen is surprisingly quite embarrassed as his friends snicker about his girlfriend Leah's request. Owen is in for an even larger shock and embarrassment though when he suddenly feels something on his head and its dripping down . . . it's spaghetti! Owen turns around looking for the culprit, thinking perhaps its one of his friends playing some sort of prank on him him. That is until he comes face to face with Kimberly! Sadly Kimberly hasn't really thought of all the possible outcomes, as she is now the butt of the new school gossip, that she was with Owen and she poured the spaghetti over him as he hadn't called her! Things go from bad to worse in her advanced English class when she is not only sat next to Owen but is paired up with him for an assignment. Its clear neither party wants to work with the other but the English teacher had put names in a bowl to be drawn so they have to accept the totally random outcome!
There is quite a lot going on in this novella, which you will discover yourselves as you read it. I am skipping out lots of details so I avoid telling you the whole story.
Larissa's cousin Lorenzo is being blamed for the school computer thefts, but leaves a note explaining who the real culprit is. . . .and as Kimberly is best friends with Larissa ends up trying to gather proof of both Lorenzo's innocence and the real culprits guilt. She ends up garnering support from an unlikely source and things become very serious and incredibly dangerous pretty quickly.
Did I enjoy the novella? I really did enjoy this novella a lot.
Would I recommend the novella? As I have said earlier in my review, this novella has a large amount going on in it to keep the readers attention. There's all the school based problems, Kimberly getting into trouble about doing articles the school and its governors would much prefer she didn't, the computer thefts, as well as the on/off relationship between Owen & Leah and even more! It's the kind of book/novella that I would say has something going on in it for everyone.
Would I like to read more of this series? Yes I really would especially if we get more of some of the characters from this novella.
Would I read other titles by this author? I would certainly further investigate anything written by this author.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Not my usual choice of favourite genre but really did enjoy this novella a lot!

Thank you Netgalley and Infinite Sky Publishing for my e-arc of Catch You!

Catch You by M. H. Soars reminded me of why I love to read books. I'm sure people have a thousand different reasons but one of the things I value the most is when a book makes me feel something. A good plot and well built characters are of course also very important to me but often these come hand in hand. Catch You made me laugh, squeal and truly enjoy myself. There might even have come a moment where I was literally screaming at the book because of some very exciting scenes. It was just that good.

"She spins on her heel and walks down the cafeteria like she's the queen of the universe. If I wasn't so angry, I would have taken the time to appreciate the view. Shit, who am I kidding? She might be evil and crazy, but she has a damn fine ass."

A lot of what made this book what it is, is of course the characters, Kimberly Dawson and Owen Whitfield. To be frank when I first started reading Catch You I thought it was a young adult book due to the fact that these characters are still in high school, however later on I realized why it's definitely labeled new adult instead *smug smile*... Anyway before I get too carried away here with my feelings I'll just go back to the characters again. Kimberly is known as the Ice Queen because she is seen as cold and evil whereas Owen is seen as just another stupid jock. However, as we get to know them we realize there's more to their characters than first meets the eye.

Of course, an unexpected event in the school cafeteria and an involuntary group assignment makes the two of them have to work together even if they really can't stand each other. There you have it, the enemies to lovers trope. One of my favorites. There is so much tension, so much banter and so much spark between Kimberly and Owen and it's a delight to read. It's hot, it's sexy, it's a total tease and I freaking love every second of it. Catch You has the quality content I'm always looking for in a book.

However, this book also has a plot that I love. Like the tag line says, Catch You is Pride and Prejudice meets Veronica Mars. There's suspense, mystery and some good old crime investigating done by teenagers who probably shouldn't be doing what they're doing. It's a real winner. It's a concept that works and is done so well by M. H. Soars.

So when Catch You by Soars comes out, make sure to grab a copy because this is a sexy ride you don't want to miss. It'll make you laugh, scream, get your heart pumping and in the end you'll be thankful for it. Nothing beats romance, banter and crime solving.

You can pre-order it here.

After feeling underwhelmed with Sugar, We're Going Down, I decided to reread this! Good thing because this actually reminded me why I liked this series in the first place!

----------

"I’m in trouble. Big trouble. I’ve spent the last hour stalking Owen’s profile on social media. Why, I don’t know. The poor excuse I give myself is that I like to know who I’m working with. Yeah, right. It has nothing to do with the way he made my heart flutter like I was a debutante in a Jane Austen novel."

description

This book was such a fun read to open my Friday morning! Ahhh... Waking up to a light and quirky novella is definitely one way to start the day. I enjoyed Wonderwall, so it wasn't much of a surprise that I'll be liking this one, too. Although, I must say that I liked Catch You much better.

And, minor squeal because one of my favorite classic ballads was mentioned!
description
"It’s just my luck that the DJ decides to play a ballad, and not just any ballad, True by Spandau Ballet, one of my favorite songs."

description

I swear, True by Spandau Ballet is definitely on the top of my list. Note that I linked the Youtube video just in case some of you still haven't listened to it—which is a crime.

Just love this song so much. This much is true. Pun intended.
description

Anyway, can't wait for Wreck of the Day release!

Enjoyed this a bunch! 4.5/5 stars!
"I freaked out because you ignited a fire in me I didn’t know I possessed. ]b>You made me want things I never knew were missing in my life."

Owen's thoughts of Kimberly of those of any red-blooded male, "she spins on her heel and walks down the cafeteria like she’s the queen of the universe. If I wasn’t so angry, I would have taken the time to appreciate the view. ***t, who am I kidding? She might be evil and crazy, but she has a damn fine ***." Owen is a man who prefers actions instead of words, “words are overrated.” I pull her to me for the kiss I’ve been craving since the last time I saw her." I really liked this book, it was a quite read and Owen and Kimberly had quite a spark between them.

At first glance, you would think Kimberly & Owen are total opposites. She is the Ice Queen & he is the hot jock of the high school. She never gave a second look towards him while he thought she is 'a crazy bitch, condescending as fuck' [sic]!. But as the story progresses you will know how compatible these both are even though they don't admit that to each other or to themselves.

A single action that was supposed to be Kimmy's revenge towards Owen and an assignment together in English class makes their worlds collide in ways they never thought possible. Actually their love hate relationship in adorable. If you like high school dramas, this is a book you must read.

What surprised me though is an unexpected mystery thrown into the mix. I am totally a lover of mysteries and this book easily kept a good amount of mystery & danger throughout. There are sexual innuendos & even sex in this book. I am a bit disappointed that the protagonists are only 17 (basically minors) & they are indulging in sex & drinking alcohol. Would have been great if they were, say, 21. Also, I am not a fan of it's title. It could have been something better that captures the soul of the book more. The book cover though is nice.

Overall, I like the author's style of writing. This is my first M.H.Soars book & it definitely won't be the last. She gives good depth to each character in the book, especially Owen. He isn't just a good looking jock. I like that each book in this 'Love Me, I'm Famous' series concentrates on each couple. This is a really nice novella that I finished in one day!

This was a fun and refreshing read!

The captivating and fast-paced mystery plot kept me guessing. The young (high school) main characters, Kimberly and Owen, are fresh and intriguing. Kimberly AKA Ice Queen is the “nerdy” girl who doesn’t care for her school’s dumb and arrogant jocks. Owen is one of those “dumb and arrogant jocks”. Being forced to team up for an English project, Owen can’t help to notice how attractive and smart Kimberly is and Kimberly realizes that there is much more to Owen. Their chemistry is hot and banter thrilling. I really enjoyed them fighting their attraction for each other; it made for funny and awkward (great!) moments. As the story progresses they grow as individuals, tear down each other’s walls and learn that there is so much more to a person than appearance.

I wish that this would have been a full length novel, not a novella. I felt that the story was a bit underdeveloped and rushed at times. Everything is there. Great characters, story, climax and a resolution but it seemed “bare bones” to me. If there would have been more character development, especially for the secondary characters, Alex, Lorenzo and Larissa, I think this story could have been even more captivating and thrilling. I just didn’t feel invested in these secondary characters and I believe they would have added a lot to the novella.

Overall I enjoyed this read. This novella is cute and delivers a fun read that will take you on an adventure! Check it out!

I found this book to be pretty interesting. I'm usually not into reading high school romances, but this book wasn't bad.

This book is about 2 teenagers in high school; the football jock (Owen) and the ice queen (Kimberly). It's sort of like a little version of Veronica Mars, which is a show that I absolutely L O V E. That's what got me really interested in the book and I sort of didn't realize it was a high school romance... anyways, this book isn't as good as Veronica Mars, but it's far from horrible.
I did not exactly like Owen at first - he had a girlfriend, albeit a bit crazy, she was still his girlfriend. They had such an unstable relationship, but he kept taking her back? Why??? Oh, is it because she gets you off under the bleachers, OWEN!?!?!?!? I hated that part the most. He was obviously fancying Kimberly, but he kept dragging his girlfriend around. Anyways, after that debacle washed over, I started to actually like him. He was very protective over Kimberly and he started to care for her, a lot! They were such a great team when they worked together to solve the *mystery/ crime.*

Kimberly... the ice queen. I actually really enjoyed her character. She was bold and she said what she thought. Yes, she got a bit /meh/ at the end, but she redeemed herself. She sets off on this, lets say "adventure" with Owen, to solve a little mystery/ crime because one of her friend's cousin got wrongly accused of stealing computers! She is really loyal and sweet to those who are close to her. At first, she had this dorky and boring boyfriend, who she was not compatible with, AT ALL. He wasn't even a nice guy either, he did not deserve her! Thank goodness, she broke up with him - she can do so much better, eh hem... OWEN. ;)

Anyways, this book was a nice, quick read. Would definitely recommend to those who like high school romances and mystery solving!

completely wonderful, fantastic little novela, Catch You by M.H. Soars. I've never read anything by this author before but I really want to see what else might strike my interest. If I could find an adult version of Owen and Kimberly's escapades, I'd be totally down to read that!
I never read or watched Nancy Drew or Veronica Mars but I get the references to the similarities between the two and if this had just had a little more of an r rating in the sex scenes I'd be all over it. lol
This book was great and I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance with mystery, high school romance between the sexy geek and the hot jock from teenagers just starting with the genre to adult readers who like a quick light read every now and then.

Oh wow! This book was awesome. It had me laughing in some spots and wanting to smack them in other parts. But all in all I couldn't quit reading. Amazing

I love Kimberly and Owen! Catch You has the perfect combination of teenage love story, a little spice and some suspense/mystery. Kimberly is known as her high school's resident Ice Queen and Owen is the typical football jock. They don't like each other, or even really interact with each other until the day Owen and his friends walk by her and bump into her, causing her iced coffee to spill all over her shirt. He doesn't apologize or even acknowledge what he did, and it pisses Kimberly off! She vows then and there to exact some sort of revenge. It's when she gets that revenge that she lands on Owen's radar and things take off from there.

Their cat and mouse game, hot and cold relationship, complete with serious sexual tension, adds a lot to what could have been a typical, boring YA story. Add the nice touch of Kimberly and Owen's little investigative tangent and Catch You ends up being much more than the type of YA story that I would normally have avoided like the plague. I like this story much better than Kimberly's sister Liv's story. Owen and Kimberly are both well rounded, interesting characters that have much more depth than I had suspected at first, considering their ages. There's very little angst, which is unusual for YA, but enough drama to entertain, and there's enough heat to satisfy the devil in me. Sure, it could have been sexier, but I have to remember that this is YA, so the level of heat is perfectly acceptable. And I love the epilogue, it caps off their story perfectly.

Great fast read YA romance

This was a great fast read that was easy to follow and kept me reading from beginning to end. Kimberly and Owen were great characters and getting to follow their journey was exciting. I loved that at the end we were able to have a glimpse into their future. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good YA romance with some intrigue and action slipped into the mix.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
The premise is somewhat predictable, the two main characters Kimmy (Kimberly) and Owen hate each other. Then suddenly they're teamed up and sparks fly as they get to know each other.

I really liked these characters, the way they talked to each other, the sarcastic barbs made me actually laugh out loud.

This was a nice and easy read with a fairly interesting storyline.
Admittedly I thought it was a full length novel and I was slightly disappointed by the shortness of it.

The chemistry between these two characters was HOT and I could feel it coming off the pages as I was reading the love scenes.
The secondary storyline of the "investigation" I thought was a little silly and completely unbelievable especially considering they were meant to be i assume 16/17 years old..?
However I found I couldn't put this down and had read and finished within 2 hours.

For a nice easy feel good read I definitely recommend this one.

I will be looking into this authors other books as am definitely going to be reading more of them :-)

I loved this novella in the “Love Me, I’m Famous” series. M.H. Soars’ “Catch You” doesn’t disappoint readers. She provided a page turning tale about two people who couldn’t be less perfect for each other.

Kimberly and Owen were two explosive personalities with a mutual dislike for one another. I love stories where two mismatched souls find love. For some reason there seems to be more passion in these tales. The depth of the emotions is more riveting.

You can’t help but like this couple. Of course they are overly attractive for high school (where were these people when I was a teenager?). They lead idyllic lives. Aside from all the normal teenage drama, Kimberly and Owen find themselves in some serious life changing crap. That’s where the story takes off. I couldn’t put the book down.

Needless to say, “Catch You” gave me a bit of a book hangover. I can’t wait to read the next one!

This was a nice light read and had butterflies fluttering in my stomach in a couple of parts. I loved the Supernatural references and following the dark book that I just finished reading this was a nice break. It was very predictable in some parts, but also had some parts that are not in most high school jock falls for nerd stories. I really enjoyed reading this novella.

I didn’t realize this was YA, my bad. This book was ridiculous. A bunch of 17 year olds solving a drug case. Yeah right. It was so juvenile, a hero going on and off with his girlfriend and than hopping from one girl to another in a matter of hours. Weak heroine who jumps his bones instantly. The chapters mention 2006 so I was waiting for the 10+ year jump to come at the book’s present. That didn’t come, only the epilogue in 2015. Also why is this part of the Love me I’m Famous series? Is a jock in high school labeled as famous all of a sudden? What an utter garbage. Finished it but would not recommend reading this book.

Not safe. Hero has an on and off girlfriend. He rekindles things with her when he’s already interested in the heroine. Heroine had a boyfriend but broke it off. Referring to sex with his girlfriend in hero’s POV.

Catch You is an interesting enemies to lovers story with a few big twists. It starts off with Kimberly and Owen bumping heads in school. Then, as the mystery of the school’s stolen computers unfolds, they spend more time together and feelings develop. They are cute in their banter, but not too over the top.

This felt a little different to me than Michelle Hercules’s usual stories. The beginning took a moment to build the background and to reveal the bigger plot. Which I may not usually feel because she usually writes bigger books. But somehow she managed to make a complex story by the end of the novella that could be developed into more. I love that she was able to do that and in a way that makes you want more.

I love Veronica Mars, so I was excited to see that this has a similar premise. Kimberly has the toughness and the sass of Veronica, and she gets involved in solving a crime. I thought that there was going to be a lot more friction between her and Owen, but they did have good chemistry. I liked how they got to know each other and realized that their assumptions were wrong. I also appreciated that the author didn't have these high school kids solve this crime without help from law enforcement. This book has dual points of view, and I thought it was well done and true to the characters.

Ice Queen meets the Man of the Hour. Nerd meets jock. Girl hates boy. Boy enjoys teasing girl. You know the rest. Anyway, this book has a strong plot with a little smut (one chapter of sex and that's it). A few kisses here and there, which was totally fine! The sexual tension was impalpable, and this was a borderline slow burn romance yet bearable. Loved it.
