Lisa B. Kamps is a USA Today Bestselling Author who writes steamy romance with real-life characters and relatable stories that evoke deep emotion. She likes her men hard, her bed soft, her coffee strong, her whiskey neat, and her wine chilled...and when it comes to sports, hockey is the only thing that matters!

Lisa currently lives in Maryland with her husband and two sons (who are mostly sorta-kinda out of the house), one very spoiled Border Collie, two cats with major attitude, several head of cattle, and entirely too many chickens to count. When she's not busy writing or chasing animals, she's cheering loudly for her favorite hockey team, the Washington Capitals--or going through withdrawal and waiting for October to roll back around!

CROSSING THE LINE (THE BALTIMORE BANNERS BOOK 1)

Prince Chump Becomes Prince Charming!

I've had this book on my Kindle for a while and I wish I'd got round to reading it sooner as I couldn't put it down and read the book in one go.

I loved Alec and AJ as a couple because they share the same determined (stubbornness) to succeed and achieve what they believed in. This didn't make their journey to HEA easy and Alec almost lost the best thing that had happened to him because of his determination/stubbornness. However, I also felt AJ was at fault because she ran instead of fighting for her man or listening to what he had to say. They had difficulty in figuring out how to stick to what they believed in whilst also working together and becoming a couple.

The team had Alec's back and wanted what was best for him, which is why they appeared to side with AJ and punish Alec for the choices he'd made. They knew that he'd messed up and needed to see sense, which they did in a way that they knew would work. They know Alec and knew how to help him even though it didn't seem like it at the time. AJ's boss also had her back and knew how to push her so that she didn't continue to run and hide. With the support of friends and each other, AJ and Alec grew as individuals and realised that they needed to be together.

BLUE RIBBON SUMMER (THE BALTIMORE BANNERS BOOK 3)

A Hidden Gem

I knew this book was exactly my kind of book as soon as I read the blurb and boy was I right! In fact, I found myself unable to enjoy any other book because I really wanted to read this one. I became lost in this 5 star read on a Saturday afternoon and it was just what I needed to sweep me away from reality. Whilst I love every book I read by this author, there are ones that standout and become my favourites, and Blue Ribbon Summer is such a book. Whilst the story is 'lighter' than some of my other favourites by Lisa B Kamps, it's one that I will definitely have to own in paperback one day so I can savour it again and again.

Ian and Kayli's story shows that opposites do attract. They technically shouldn't work as a couple, but are actually so perfect for each other. Blue Ribbon Summer is a heartwarming story that's easy to read and isn't full of drama, which is sometimes needed so you can focus fully on the couple rather than everything else that's happening around them. I get the feeling that Blue Ribbon Summer is a hidden gem by this favourite author of mine and I really would recommend that readers pick it up!
