With things in Arcadia Lake finally settling down, Puck begins to think about expanding his pack. Then he gets the news that the hunter community is determined to get Hugo Durand out of jail. Fortunately for Puck, someone else seems just as determined to keep him there. Unfortunately, his mysterious ally doesn't seem to care if Puck and his pack are caught in the crossfire.
Good follow up to the first book in the series The Way Out Is Through. An easy, quick and compelling read! A lot of focus on the inter-personal relations of the characters - more so than the first book which was quite dark and full of action, this is more how to deal with the consequences. And, a great point about these books is that they have normalised-LGBT characters who are not solely the focus of the story, which is refreshing although becoming more common nowadays thankfully. I'm very invested in these characters and look forward to the next instalment!
This book is an entertaining sequel to The Way Out Is Through. I would definitely suggest starting with TWOIT though as Rebuild All Your Ruins builds significantly on the plot of the first book.
This book feels a lot lighter in tone than the first book. There is an adventure/mystery element to it, but that feels much more of a subplot to the book, with a lot of the focus being on the personal relationships between the members of the werewolf pack, particularly the new members who join in this book.
An entertaining continuation to the first book in the series, this one felt more like it was about the relationships and connections between the characters verses the murder mystery plot of the first novel. I am hoping for more in this series but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what E. M. Holloway comes up with next.
