Wasn't what I was looking for initially. I was hoping for a guidebook for creative writing and editing, and while it provides more instructions as to how to plan/write/edit a research paper, I still benefitted quite a lot from it. This book sheds light on the standard process of writing--whether it's a book or a thesis--from brainstorming to incubating your work to the final fine-tuning. It also points out all the minor grammar, punctuation, spelling errors one often makes and how to spot them.
There are chapters that I simply skipped because they’re not for me, but I took what I needed from this book and it helped me a lot with writing in general.

Still useful to me as a writer. A good tool to keep on the shelf.
