Chris Johnson writes high-stakes thrillers with a sci-fi and supernatural edge—think ancient secrets, time travel, and rogue agencies chasing ghosts.

When he’s not writing, Chris performs as a mentalist at private and corporate events, bending minds with psychology and sleight of hand. He lives in Brisbane, Australia, with his family, and still reads The Phantom when no one’s looking.

“Life’s an adventure. So are my books.”

Amazing…

Anthologies usually have a couple of good, a couple of not so good, and maybe a stinker or two. Nope, not this time. I liked ALL the stories (the last one in particular, but some at the very beginning had me parked in front of my iPad) this time! I don’t (envy, thy name is Keli) know how in the world he came up with so many different (as in none of them were remotely the same) ideas. Bless his heart, Chris Johnson must be one disturbed (I mean that in the nicest possible way!) little puppy. ;)

I very much enjoyed the range of material in this book. It went from paranormal to horror and everything you could possibly think of in between! Chris is a very talented writer who can keep the attention of a reader through an anthology. It’s easy to lose interest, but not when you’re strapped to your chair with you eyes half closed in terror like this book does to you. Very much enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend to others.

Midnight Mayhem

Chris Johnson is one of the best authors in the paranormal mystery genre. The compilation of stories in Twelve Strokes was entertaining and gripping. Each story was well written and held my interest. There are otherworldly entities, witches and vengeful wraiths apart from strange artefacts. A great treat for horror buffs .
