Navy SEAL Brayden Lucas assumes that when he detains a burglar at the Caribbean estate he’s house-sitting, it’ll be a straightforward matter of figuring out who the would-be thief is and turning her in to the authorities if need be.
That was before he tied her up, and they started talking.
But the truth is there’s nothing straightforward about Arielle Day. Not the way she lights him up inside, or the secrets she’s obviously keeping.
And nothing is going to stop Brayden from exploring the explosive chemistry between them…
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Zoe York is a busy working mom of two young boys, wife to a very understanding soldier, and creator of modern, sexy, small town contemporary romances.
She lives in London, Ontario and is currently chugging Americanos, wiping sticky fingers, and dreaming of heroes in and out of uniform.
Bound by the SEAL is part of the Caribbean Nights series and Zoe York’s books are set on the island of Miralinda. The first novella by Zoe, Ruined by the SEAL, introduced us to the background story of Will who inherits a plantation on Miralinda and sends his friend Mick to check things out for him. Mick promptly falls for the sassy, sexy Cara who has her own interest in the plantation for historical reasons. While Will has yet to show up, still dealing with all the legalities of his inheritance, he’s sent another friend along to help Mick. When Braydon arrives on the island, he’s ready to get the executive training center that’s planned for the property on track. What he doesn’t expect is to find an unexpected houseguest, catching Arielle breaking and entering at the plantation he’s supposed to be house-sitting. Quickly determining she’s not a threat, he’s intrigued by her, especially because getting tied up with rope doesn’t seem to have bothered her in the least. Clearly, they have some kinks in common. But while Arielle shares some things with Braydon, she’s got divided loyalties. As Braydon and Arielle get closer, will those loyalties prevent a happy ending?
If you’re in the mood for a quick, sexy, fun read, you can’t do better than a Navy SEAL book by Zoe York. Interesting and likable characters with flaws and redemptive qualities are par for the course. And always a swoon-worthy hero too! Braydon is one of those stand-up guys, loyal to his friends, committed to his new job helping Will and Mick set up their business together, and quick to go with the flow. Catching Arielle housebreaking leads to some interesting revelations, including her family history and her loyalty to her father, despite it leading her into trouble (as she’s on a mission for him when she gets caught). I really liked Arielle’s character as a feisty, friendly woman who values her relationship with her father even if he’s not the best example of fatherly material.
What Arielle doesn’t expect is that Braydon will help her in her quest to recover a missing item. Or that she’ll be so attracted to him. When they discover a mutual interest in bondage, it ups the heat between them and they share some sexy scenes together (which I’d classify as BDSM- lite – nothing too intense here). As a school teacher, Arielle has some concerns about her sexual preferences getting out but Braydon values her trust and won’t do anything to jeopardize it. The Caribbean setting is lush and has that laid back vibe, adding a nice warm atmosphere to the story (especially if you’re reading it in the dead of winter, like me). Conflict is inevitable but fairly quickly resolved, on route to a lovely happy ending. Steamy sex, sweet romance and satisfying happy endings. That’s what you get with Zoe York.
This was a quick, steamy read and exactly what I was wanting to read!
The thing I love about this author’s books - whether they are full length or novellas (like this one), is you never get a bunch of silly miscommunication or unnecessary angst. The stories in this series are all a little bit insta-love for my general tastes, but Ms. York does such a good job developing the rest of the relationship and the plot that it hardly bothers me.
This was another hot and steamy novella by Zoe York. I always love her plot lines and characters. The Miralinda Island residents and their adventures are a great addition to my growing list of favorites. I can't wait to experience more with her upcoming books in this series.
Arielle is a fun, sassy, sarcastic heroine, and Brayden is her hot, strong, flirty hero. These two were perfect for each other. I loved their meeting and how easily they relaxed with one another. There was definitely an instant connection and realization that they liked the same things. I loved how their relationship developed organically with the perfect amount of angst. I'm glad there wasn't a lot of dancing around their attraction. Why wait? The sex was smoldering and beautifully described.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book.
Whether mixing it up in the Caribbean, pulling heartstrings in a small town or getting down and dirty with a bad boy or girl, Ms. York let's it all hang out. Bound by the Seal is exotic, gritty and HOT. Brayden and Arielle make an impression on not just each other, but the reader is pulled along for the ride. The heat is on and a thrill to behold.
Bound by the SEAL is the fifth book in this series and just as good as the rest! Brayden Lucas is teaming up again with his SEAL friends in a joint adventure on a Caribbean plantation, but his first night there instead of settling in quietly he catches a thief in the house looking for something. Things start to get real interesting when he ties her up and asks her questions. Arielle Day wasn't a thief, but high school teacher and it is all a really big mistake that Brayden catches her. She does however find herself extremely attracted to him and wants to explore that further with him.
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Pretty fast read this book got right down to it and is a fast read. I have read most of this series each one will stand on it's own. This one we got to see other characters from the other stories which I enjoyed. The relationship between the woman and her Dad I found a bit strange but that could just be me. I liked that we got more of Will in this book because of the mystery surrounding the home that he was given by his Grandmother. I really can't wait for Will's book. I was gifted this book for a fair and honest review.
Devoured this Amazing story in one night. Could not put it down with out knowing the outcome of this heart pounding adventure. Family Issues, Loyal Friends, Futures at Stake.
The Author creates a very vivid and attention grabbing world in which she tells the story of a couple that is not exactly looking for forever just trying to live their everyday life and make it to the next day a little happier that today. (aren't we all) Overall it is a very well developed and entertaining romantic adventure, excitedly looking forward to the next story.
Wonderful story of finding love when you're not looking for it. Brayden is newly out of the Seals and ready to start a new phase in his life with his fellow retired Seals. Ready to have fun in the sun and relax, catching burglar Arielle is a surprise. Turns out she's a schoolteacher on the island with secrets. Kinky secrets Brayden is more than willing to help Arielle explore. No cliffhanger, hea. Every book in the series has been great. You will not be disappointed in the light hearted romance. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of the book.
Meet Brayden and Arielle! Zoe York has done it again! This story is a little bit intrigue, a little bit BDSM and a whole lot sexy! Brayden is freshly retired from the SEALs and tasked with “housesitting” at his new job sight on Miralinda Island. His first night there, he catches school teacher Arielle, breaking in to the house! Tying her up, reveals her deepest secrets, secrets that he shares! Read on as they embark on a dirty little romance and so where it go!
These two were fun from the start! I really liked them and how their story unfolded, just a little bit more with each interaction. Their connection was immediate, and while they went about things a little differently, they certainly didn’t hold back. Great setting, great characters, great story, who could ask for more?
Zoe has done it again! After I started reading, I couldn't put the book down! It's amazing to see enemies turned lovers, even if they weren't necessarily true enemies. This was an amazing read, and throwing some kink in made it all the better! Would recommend to anyone! Love it!

Lately, Zoe York's books have taken a turn towards the dark side. Her writing is as masterful as ever, but the subject matter has veered more towards what one would expect from Fifty Shades of Gray (which I have not read). I'm not loving it. Therefore, I will focus on the parts I do love.
Multi-dimensional characters come alive - some histories are explained, personal ”issues” are revealed, and feelings are felt. But at times, it felt as if the plot was a thinly disguised vehicle for erotica. I'm not knocking erotica. If anyone can do that well, it's Zoe York. But I've come to expect more from her, and so I was a little disappointed when I didn't feel that familiar pull of understanding and identification with the characters. These are not characters who will stick with me, as there was nothing to make them particularly memorable (compared to her Wardham characters, for example). This is not to say her character portrayals were in any way lacking, but rather, they pale in comparison to some of her others. I was left wanting more.
To sum things up : If you're looking for hot sex scenes with realistic characters, you'll love this. If you're looking for a deeper exploration of said characters, including histories, motivations, and aspirations, as well as some expectations about what the future holds, you won't find that here - and that's okay.
A new addition to the seal series. Great dialogue, engaging characters, Brayden is yummy and Arielle is a strong woman who can go too to toe with him. It is a fun, sexy, romantic caper.....
Brayden arrives on Miralinda to make the transition from military life to civilian life. He, Mick, and Will are working together to built a training facility or possible place for excursions for cruise passengers. Having just arrived to the island, Brayden hasn't met anyone and just wants to relax. While Mick and Cara are enjoying a dinner cruise, Brayden catches Arielle searching the mansion. He ties her up only to discover she's Cara's best friend. Arielle has secrets, secrets she'd rather not let anyone know. Brayden vows to uncover her secrets....
Arielle is a respected school teacher who's father is a con man. She's caught trying to find a statue her dad has sent her after. When Brayden catches her lurking about, he ties her up to "interrogate" her--only to discover she likes being bound a little too much. She doesn't want anyone to know, but he slowly pleasures her secrets out of her. As he unlocks her secrets, he begins to fall in love. Brayden thinks Arielle doesn't want "forever". Does she?
I really enjoyed this novel. It was a quick, easy, enjoyable read! If you like sexy, HOT Navy SEALS and kinky school teachers this is the novel for you!!! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
rcvd an advanced reader copy by Zoe in exchange for an honest review. I always enjoy Zoe's book...with lots of wit, sarcasm, fun, drama and hotness. We meet Brayden, an ex-SEAL who is on his way to the Caribbean to set up shop with his two SEAL buddies. On his arrival to the plantation, he notices a light moving around in the supposed-to-be-empty house. Arielle, is that trespasser, who is looking for smtg for her father when she is apprehended by Brayden. He ties her to a chair to interrogate her, meanwhile she is having kinky thoughts about being tied up. Brayden is onto her and feels like he has met a kindred spirit in kink. After an awkward beginning, they end up " officially meeting" in town with Braydens buddy and his fiance who is bffs with Arielle. After meeting for drinks a few days later, Arielle does the unthinkable...and invites Brayden back to her place but with conditions and the main one being no one can know about it. Will that cause problems for them down the road? can they continue their love affair without feelings getting involved? another great job by Zoe!!

I love Zoe York's writing and this one doesn't disappoint!
Bound by the Seal is a quick, fun read! Brayden is moving down to Miralinda to start a business with a few of his buddies. HIs first night there he sees lights flashing in the Villa where no one is supposed to be. Brayden sneaks in to find Arielle searching for something. Before you know it, she's tied to a chair and the fun is just beginning!
I love how Zoe creates her characters in such a way that draws you in to the story and keeps you turning the pages, never wanting it to end. The chemistry is great! There's a little mystery, some seriously HOT and amazing knot work and secret meetings! Grab this book to find out what new adventure Zoe has us take with Brayden and Arielle!
Brayden and Arielle were a BLAST to read... finally. ;)
I feel like I had been waiting around forever for this book to come out, and I definitely was not disappointed. These two lit the pages on fire with their attraction, that they definitely failed at containing and hiding throughout the book.
This book had a bit of a darker, kinkier side to it, so if ropes and being bound aren't your thing, then this isn't the book for you. However, I definitely feel that the way Zoe writes, it was done SO tastefully, that I never once felt uncomfortable, or like I needed to skip ahead. I really wanted the book to keep going!
Their story was so much fun to read, they both had a few demons of their own that they needed to deal with, but the ending will not leave you disappointed in the least!
I don't like "angsty" books. When Brayden and Arielle first encountered each other, I just knew we were on a journey with two people that had chips on their shoulders and we were going to have to wade through the murky waters of their issues. WRONG!!!
Brayden and Arielle recognized was other as kindred spirits almost immediately. They also recognized they shared the same kink.
A little bit of mystery, kink (of the black silk rope variety), a lot of romance, and a few steamy scenes. This book was a very fast read. You get more of an introduction to Will and get to revisit Mick and Cara.
Enjoy!

This is Book 5 in the ASSIGNMENT: Caribbean Nights" Series and as always I loved it! Zoe York always manages to deliver a story full of action, romance, great characters , hot love! Everything I need to enjoy a reading from the beginning to the end. The Miralinda Island residents and their adventures are becoming more and more interesting! Arielle and Brayden are just great! She is funny, sexuy, full of sarcasm and sass. Brayden is alpha, hot and powerful. The chemistry is immediate and so amazing that I highly recommend this novella to anyone wanting to have a great time!
