‘That sweet spot was everything to Jack, the only part of life that was actually worth living. Without it, he didn’t know how he could survive.’ - Jack
Sarah Beth James is a new author to me and I'm so glad that I downloaded Save Me as I couldn't put it down. It took me on a real emotional roller-coaster ride as it dealt with some difficult and sensitive subjects. I love books and have great admiration for authors that show what real life can really be like and doesn't sugar coat the battles some of us go through. I was able to relate to some parts of Save Me and how being in an unhealthy relationship literally sucks you dry and leaves you feeling unlovable, unwanted and vulnerable. My heart broke for both Jack and Nic who really weren't handed the greatest of lives and had to continue fighting for survival.
This book isn't an easy read due to the subjects written by Sarah Beth James but I would definitely recommend this book and I will certainly be reading the continuation of Jack and Nic’s story once their next book comes out. I have awarded this book a well deserved 5 stars!
Save me is a extremely heart felt read about a young man named jack going through a hard break up after being cheated on. The story is deep and heart breaking as we read through his experiences with drugs, abuse and faking straight. Save me is a story of self exploration and finding who you are, a coming of age story that made me cry at times. Save Me has a wonderful coming of age feel with the twist of being a intense, adult drama. Sarah Beth James is a fantastic new author who has a gift for telling stories, I definitely recommend reading her work.
Save me is a must read if you enjoy dramatic and intense stories with shocking twists and turns, characters that you can not only relate to but love, and a great plot. The only complaint I have about this book would be that it ended so soon, I would have loved it to be a little longer and bring in some more characters. Overall though the story was like I was reading a Soap Opera which was fantastic. I definitely recommend Save Me by Sarah Beth James to anyone who loves drama and romance.
I cried. I laughed. I yelled at them!! Horrible, beautiful, sad, exciting, angry, amazing. That is Jack and Nic. What an incredible read. Very intimate. When you start this book you lose track of time , getting caught up their world.
