Alan Atkins is an affluent young man with an insatiable thirst for blood. He savagely slaughters his victims without a shred of remorse. Tetsuya Takahashi is an impecunious man, trying to live a peaceful life as a cashier at a gasoline station. During his free time, Tetsuya stalks and murders suicidal people — a punisher of those he deems ungrateful. When the two killers bump heads, a trail of carnage is left in a broken city... Is the city big enough for two killers? Or will the pair clash in a storm of blood?"I'm not a 'cliché serial killer,' I'm the psychopath cliché serial killers look up to.” This book contains intense scenes of graphic violence, disturbing themes, and some sexual references. This book is not intended for those easily offended or appalled. Please enjoy at your own discretion.
'Sinister Syndromes' or my foot? Total disgrace!! No, no, no!!! You are creating 2 psychopathic beast at the same time and making them meet each other but only certifying One of them Alpha by mind and regretting the other one? I say what the hell! This from me means - total unfair. Don't tell me if I don't know what the f**k psychological horror means, I absolutely f***ing know what does a psychological horror book means to read, what I just can't tolerate is the lack of balance of the characters and their abilities to show off their supreme force or say power. Disgusted by the read, SICK...
Tetsuya a serial killer, he kills only those who in personal do not want live their own lives or wants nothing by themselves but committing suicide. Tetsuya has his own limits while he kills his victim. On the other hand Alan an another psychopathic killer who murder his victim the way which has no limits, he is a predators like no other else. Tetsuya certainly didn't suit any match with Alan. Alan got no boundaries to himself, inhuman, sick bastard he is and when finally he conducted Tetsuya to manage him to become his friend it's all Tetsuya do nothing but accept...
So now the conclusion part of me. Tetsuya coming from japanese background he was downplayed by Alan. Whie Alan caught him finally through online and smirked at the side of surprising face Tetsuya I expected Tetsuya too play the mind game and smile back at Alan too like a total sociopath if you know what I mean. There's more fscts about this two characters especially about Tetsuya that I just don't want to go in there. This tale angered me, frustrated me and most importantly disgusted me. The gore of those crime scenes? Well they sounds disturbing but while I was focusing on the characteristics of this two psychopath it didn't seems affected me much at all. Hoping for a good read from the same author of next read...
This book was way too much fun! I got major Death Note vibes off it for some reason, possibly because both Alan and Tetsuya come off as being a bit chuunibyou.
Also, I cannot possibly be the only one who shipped Alan and Tetsuya, right? ... Right guys?
I mean come on, there is no way all that homoerotic subtext was unintentional. I'm just saying.
“Is tonight the night? Will you finally go through with it? Or will you quit when you reach the doorstep of death? Will you quit before you knock or when you're standing in the doorway? Can you really go through with it?”
What kind of outcome could be expected from two killers, one drawn to the bloodiest and violent of gore Endings while the other was fueled as an angel of mercy, shredding their mortal bodies for a chance at immortality? This would be where two paths would unfortunately cross, leaving both men murdered at one another’s hands. Turning his addiction to death into a form of a mercy slaying, Tetsuya Takahashi could only help aid in someone’s death when they themselves saw no places else left to turn. Gaining their trusts with his kind and proving words on the forum SorrowBurrow, a notorious site for those heavily depressed and suicidal to gather and discuss their internal sufferings. Leaving comments under his true identity, he would gain insight into their lives or torment, and help ease their souls as he pushed their suicidal envelopes to close to the edge. With the deaths never leaked back to him, his kill count was steadily climbing until gaining the attention of psychopathic murderer Alan Atkins. A man addicted to bloody demise and a taste for human flesh, he was a savage beast trapped in human flesh and bones. Murdering countless woman, he savored their fingers in a meal he served to unknowing party guests. Affluent from riches bore and bred within his family, Alan should’ve had a charmed and pristine life, yet found himself without remorse or empathy for those around him. Screwing his maid on the regular, he felt little for her, merely a toy to please him. More entranced with his own reflection instead of theirs together, he took little pity when Tetsuya came to kill her in a fit of revenge. Annoyed by his ‘friend’s’ lack of bravado is slaying his sexual partner, he produced the severed head of another woman, before murdering Sonja where she stood. Shocked and horrified, the two engaged in an endless game of cat and mouse, each baiting the other with stabbing sand break ins, trying to frame the other. With Alan seeking a companion to hunt with, he was pushing all the buttons he could with the gas station Cashier (Tetsuya) and was finding pleasure in the knowledge he was almost there. Tricking him into slaying and murdering with a machete a man from down Alan’s street, he believed he was a wolf, a sexual preparatory and child murderer when he was merely a rival to his fortune. With enough conviction, he murdered the man and as he fled he heard the gunshots as Alan executed the man’s parents and kidnapped the young boy, Mason. As the conclusion was bleeding out, the two engaged in a brutal fight to the death before Mason stabbed Tetsuya believing him to be a monster in the basement of the luxurious home. As he stumbled up the steps, he runs into Charles Atkins, the father of the monster he barely escaped from. Armed with a knife he gave the child a choice of his death, painful and drawn out or quick and painless, his ticket being going to the basement. With the lie in his heart, the story ends with him locking himself inside with the child and his murdered son.
“Everyone has two faces, but some have a thousand...”
“Yes, yes... fuck me harder, daddy. Please, fuck me harder. Fuck your little whore...”
The eyes of a killer, he thought, or the eyes of an innocent man?
Wow, what a blast. From horror to violence to gore to sexual deviancy to canabalism to brilliantly written dark humour and all for a rather sad search for friendship. A total black vs white, yin & yang serial killer story and what an ending ! I didn't see that coming but now I'm itching for a sequel, please ? Loved this book and now I'm off to read more from the sick, twisted & awesome Jon Athan 👍
Another excellent story from Jon . The story is well written and I enjoyed the characters interactions between them. PLEASE write a follow up with Charlie !
