Quick Strip Paper Piecing had the following key points:
- Do your paper piecing in an assembly line fashion to make the repeat units.
- It includes strip measurements, so that you make fewer mistakes and waste less fabric.
- The book includes 19 different excellent star and other patterns.
I am not using her total procedure but benefited hugely from the book. I used the 6" Simple Star to add stars to Kathy's Galaxy quilt.
Excellent book. Beautiful colors in her stars and quilts. Includes a gallery of other quilts from her patterns. Very smart.

Foundation / Paper Piecing

Ms Martin shows a different technique to paper piece. You start with a strip set and sew each foundation to that, making the four patches all at the same time, speeding up the process.

There are some lovely blocks in this book (12-15), put into some lovely quilts, shown in the gallery. I was disappointed in the book because the title implied that they would have some interesting paper pieced borders. That was why I bought the book. Beyond showing flying geese in the borders there was nothing new or interesting. If there was something exciting it was not from paper piecing.
