Luigi Robles or also known Luis Robles was born in Los Angeles, CA and spent most of his time as a child visiting libraries and voraciously reading books.
He eventually grew up to become a successful graphic designer and reaped its rewards. He has never stopped reading and has always been a fan of the Science Fiction/Fantasy masters such as Orson Scott Card, Frank Herbert, Iain M. Banks, George R.R. Martin, J.R.R. Tolkien, and many more. But with every book he read, the longing to tell his own stories grew stronger, until he found himself typing away, filling up blank pages in the middle of the night.
Luigi ultimately switched careers to focus on writing and bringing great stories to life. When he isn’t writing, he is plotting and designing or illustrating the cover for his next book, which is the icing on the cake of his lifelong passion.

After the Entity bestows all his magic upon the Earth, then dies, things are never the same. However, life was peaceful until a star fell to Earth and corrupted Gavril for evil. Gavril uses his power to create an undead army that terrorizes both man and beast. When Bliss is born, the countdown begins and soon Gavril will stop at nothing to kill the last child of magic born on Earth. With Pah, the Watcher, by her side and a lot of help from new found friends, Bliss finds the strength to assume her role in the universe.
Quick read, a little slow in the middle, and several characters feel underwhelming, but there is something to this series that will keep readers interested to the very end.

The Watcher: And the Origins of Magic is the first book in the two book series The Gates of Oblivion by Luis Robles. This is the story of Bliss, the last Child of Power.
Plot 4/5: I thought the plot was interesting.
Characters 4/5: I loved Bliss and Pah.
World building 3/5: I thought the world building could have used a bit more detail.
Pacing 4/5: The pacing was steady with spurts of action.
Writing 2/5: This book has a lot of potential, though I feel this book could have used better editing.
