Study Abroad 101 by Wendy Williamson is nothing short of a masterpiece for the modern-day student. This book presents everything U.S. high school and college students need to know about studying abroad, from before they select a program to after they return, through 101 easy-to-navigate sections. In its third edition, this popular guidebook has been readily used by education abroad students, advisors, teachers, and professors for more than a decade.
The beginning seems painfully obvious (maybe it's not to some), but I was rather surprised at the depth of the end chapters. I found this book to have some very valuable information, though some is probably outdated. Give it to a teen who wants to study abroad.
