Chris Thompson, the son of a Canadian woman and a male of an unknown intergalactic species, was born 39 years ago this past September. At the age of 10 two drastic things happened in his life: first, while completing a writing assignment for the fifth grade, he became enamored with the creative process (a two to three page story became an eight page epic tale of Ewoks and space battles and laser beams), and second, his mental powers manifested when, in 1985 he caused a power outage and storm that resulted in the 1985 Barrie, Ontario tornado systems, all because he did not want to eat liver for dinner.
Now, living in secret and kept locked away in the offices of a Canadian Telecom provider, he keeps his powers hidden from everyone and channels his hatred of ingesting organs into writing semi-daily drabbles, short stories, and slightly longer stories which he will finish one day (no, really).
An interesting collection, and I think Chris' project was a healing/bonding process for all us Bowie Geek Writerly Sorts as we mourned the death of our collective idol. (I've got a poem in there, as well!) Please note that all profits go to cancer research.
