THE BARBARIAN WARLORD
Anso’s name is Ancient Germanic. It means ‘god’. It was a name he’d earned. Carried a power he wielded, uncontested. Came with a lack of civility he thrived upon.

And still does.

THE PSYCHOLOGIST
Leah is a clinical psychologist with a waiting list of patients. A thriving practice. And a non-existent love-life. Men can’t seem to handle her intelligence. Her career success.

...or her womanly curves.

PASSION AND PRAGUE
Business takes Leah to Old-World Czechoslovakia. It’s not as interesting or exciting as it had sounded when she’d booked it. Especially the ‘ghost tour’ she’s talked into.

But Prague is hosting something a lot more dark, deadly, and dangerous...

Jackie Ivie

Jackie Ivie was born and raised in a suburb outside Utah's capital, beautiful Salt Lake City. The second in a family of four daughters and one son, Jackie was constantly amusing her siblings with her invented games, escapades, and stories. And she was always reading. She would even walk the family dog, with one hand holding the leash, while the other held the ever-present book. No subject went unread, but once she discovered Historical Romances, there was no doubting her favorite genre.

Jackie has always been the busy type, rarely sitting still without being occupied in at least one activity, and usually more. When she was younger, it was nothing to find her watching television, while doing her homework, listening to music, crocheting like a madwoman, and reading, all at the same time.

After graduating, Jackie gained secure employment with a large service company and relocated with her growing family to the neighboring, sparsely-populated state of Wyoming. She then spent several years enjoying the wildlife, scenery, and open space that Wyoming is known for. In addition to writing, Jackie is an accomplished artist in several mediums, preferring mixed media. She has several pictures in print and has exhibited in art showings throughout the West. There was never anything she loved doing more than reading, however, and once she discovered the thrill involved with putting her own words and fantasies on paper there was no stopping her.

In 2001, Jackie and her family took a huge step and moved to the largest state of the nation; Alaska. Although it was her job that brought her here, Jackie has grown to love this land of amazing contrasts, breathtaking vistas, and the ever-present resident, the Alaskan moose. There's nothing else like it, and the very long days of summer lend themselves to hours and hours of energizing tasks, while the long winter nights are just right for her real love...writing.

Jackie has now written thirteen novels and is continually starting more. The thrill of writing has now been enhanced by seeing her actual story in print. Lady of the Knight is her first published work. It will be followed by Tender is the Knight scheduled for release this summer.

"Exist" by Jackie Ivie. Book 30 in the Vampire Assassin League novella series.

Short, sweet and to the point. The characters of Anso and Leah are cute and quirky.

Anso is a vampire over 1000 years old and has never thought he'd find his mate. Especially in the middle of an assassination mission! When he finds her, he can't believe how perfect she is for him. The only problem is...she thinks he isn't real!

Leah is a psychologist and she is 100% sure she is suffering a massive delusion. Her "dream" man has just swept her off her feet, literally. Mr. Tall, Dark and Gorgeous. But of course he's not real. He moves faster than humanly possible and he has fangs! Yup. She's definitely having a hallucination.

It's a cute story line. Very fast paced. As with all the VAL novellas, it's insta-love between the characters. I really liked the ending of this one. It's a little teaser as to what's happening to another character we've seen in the series. (I won't say who, don't want to spoil it for you!) It's a fast read when you need that quick romance fix.

Ohhhh Baby!!!!!

Jackie Ivie has done it again! She has given me another couple to love. As I continue on this quest known as the VAL series I find it harder and harder not to believe these people do not exist. I love the stories that this woman produce from her mind and how she works to show all woman no matter the race or size that true love is just around the corner. Anso and Leah and Prague oh my! This book tickled my fancy because I am studying psychology and all the research that Jackie used was spot on. Poor twin I do hope he gets his story soon, the boy is looking for ATTENTION but in the wrong way. I recommend this book and series to anyone that LOVES a great Vampire Romance.

This can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, but it is more fun when the series is read in order. This has everything that makes the Vampire Assassin League so wonderful, vampires, humor, action, and steamy romance. The romance isn’t overly descriptive or explicit. The hero Anso is hot, strong, and treats the heroine Leah with so much love and caring. Leah is a modern, educated woman and how she deals with the world of vampires is so funny! One of the things I love about the VAL series is that I always end up learning new things. Ms. Ivie enriches her stories with details that she has carefully researched. I highly recommend this story and the series as a whole.

I really enjoy the VAL series. Each couple (you know that‰Ûªs what we‰Ûªre here for) has a unique coming-together story, and a mystery or problem to solve that is singular to them. Anso and Leah were great! What‰Ûªs not to love about a Germanic King and a Psychotherapist? She thinks she having a psychotic break and he can‰Ûªt think (finding one‰Ûªs mate can be taxing). Of course it all gets sorted out with Akron‰Ûªs help. Leah has some success talking to Athelrod about how he feels. Maybe she can help him get past his hurt. There are a couple of things you just can‰Ûªt miss in a VAL story: 1. Nigel‰Ûªs hissy fit, and 2. Akron‰Ûªs in-charge chuckle. They are both here.

If your into tall dark and sexy with a lot of hotness this is the book for you. It's has a mixture of everything. Book is a great read. It pulls you in and when you surface you'd wish you have the next book to read. The Exist can be a stand alone or you can read it with the rest of the set. Jackie Ivie is a great writer and she lets you know it by putting so much feelings into her book and making the people she writes about come to life.

Love this series

Loved Exist! Anso is a 9rh century Germanic warlord, who comes across his mate while on a mission. Leah is a clinical psychologist at a conference. She is swept off her feet, literally and figuratively by the hottest man she has ever seen. Leah thinks she has had a psychic break, no matter how hard ANSI tries to convince her she hasn't. A fun and steamy story, that has Athelrod heading to therapy.

Loved this particular story it reminded me more of the earlier books. Super sexy and not so much of the dialog on the phone back at VAL. Although I like the comedic value of it....... it was getting a bit too drawn out and immature on Akrons part for me. So I was really glad that was missing in this book and he was back to being his secretive sexy self. This book was 6 Stars for me!

Exist by Jackie Ivie

Convinced her meeting with Anso is a psychiatric breakdown Doctor Leah decides that she might just enjoy the fantasy. When the vampire teeth show and she finds herself waking up with her fantasy she is determined that this must not be real but if it is she may not want to wake up. Anso is one hot vampire assassin and Leah learns that love can be found.

Love the VAL operatives!

I love this series and drop whatever I'm reading when a new one comes out. The reason for four stars is I felt the dream / denial went on a bit too long. Other than that, this was a fun quick read.

Fantastic story....

I have to say Jackie's books just keep getting better and better. I love the interaction between Anso and Leah. She was convinced she was having a psychotic symptoms. It was amusing as she tried to explain everything logically. This is a definite must read.
