Captain Hook wants to break the enchantment of Neverland so badly, he'll do anything to leave, including summoning the witch who placed the curse upon him to begin with. But when he accidentally brings her great-great-granddaughter, Yvette Novalie, to Neverland instead, things become more than he bargained for.
The fiery chit is everything Hook has ever wanted in a woman. However, Yvette has many reasons to hate the pompous captain and is determined to see that he remains in Neverland forever. She has heard plenty of tales of his horribleness to her ancestors and wants nothing to do with him. Besides, she most certainly is not a witch, and has no notion of how to release senseless fiends from the spell.
With only three days to woo the lady and go home to London, Hook is eager to let the games begin—or should we say, may the best scamp win?
Note: Captain Hook is part 3 of 3 of the Neverland trio within the Jenni James Faerie Tale Collection. Part 1 is Peter Pan. Part 2 is Return to Neverland.

The final book to the Neverland Saga. The amazingly dashing Captain Hook finds true love. I had so much fun writing this book. The banter between Hook and Yvette kept me giggling throughout the book. I hope you love this wounded hero as much as I do.
Absolutely perfect! At least, as perfect as a good, lighthearted, fun, romantic, magical story can get! Oh my goodness how I enjoyed this book! I love the banter between James and Yvette. Yvette's temper is rather comical and Captain Hook is such a charming rogue who will easily make the reader fall in love with him. I teared up a couple of times, but it is simply wonderful! It is the best one in the Neverland series, to me. I even sighed many-a-time. It's been quite magical and a treat reading this small trilogy! This is definitely a fairytale retelling worth checking out, for Jenni James is such an enchanting author and her books (in my opinion) are practically impossible to put down! To say, "I can't wait to read the rest of her books", is QUITE the understatement!
Very generic romance. Hook didn't really stand out as "Captain Hook," he was just kind of a typical Victorian love interest. In fact, the author didn't even seem to remember that he was Hook considering that he occasionally uses both his "hands" to do things. Also, the heroine was so over the top at the beginning. A lot of words were used incorrectly, which surprised me because this is the 15th book in the series, so I'd think that the editing would be better. If this was just a romance I'd say, eh, it's okay to spend half an hour on, but because it claims to be a Hook romance...nah, didn't deliver for me. It did lead me to a good book of short-story Hook romances though called The Lady's Captain: Stories of Hook and Wendy by Alex Page, which, although it needs some development and editing, really made a good effort in making Hook both good and a potential for romance, but still Hook. So I appreciate that because of this book I discovered that book.
Captain James Hook is stuck in Neverland because of his evil ways. He once raided a village where a witch lived, and she cursed him for his deeds. Unless he can break the curse, Hook will remain in Neverland forever. In an effort to try and break his curse Hook asks the Chief for help. they try to summon the witch but so much time has passed that she’s no longer alive. Instead, they summon her granddaughter, Yvette. As a nurse in London, Yvette has seen her share of unusual things but never something like Neverland. She’s been told the stories of Captain James Hook and how ruthless and evil he was, but she never believed that her grandmother had actually been a witch. Hooks’s curse requires him to complete several tasks to break it. He’s completed most of them but now the last will require love and that, for him, seems impossible. In the time he’s spent in Neverland Hook has changed a lot but can he find love in three days time? Yvette is suspicious of Hook at first but soon realizes he doesn’t mean anyone harm anymore. His time in Neverland has changed him and now he seeks only to go home. It does take her awhile to trust him but when she discovers that his wound, the hand that Peter Pan cut off, in now infected and spreading quickly, she’s determined to get him back to London for treatment. It’s not that easy though. Just as time runs out Yvette is transported back to London and realized that hook has arrived as well. he’s still injured but thanks to the doctors he’ll live. Years pass with Hook and Yvette getting married, having children and opening a restaurant. One day they even get a chance to meet Peter and Wendy again. I like this ending much more than the original story.
