Aer-ki Jyr is one of the top 20 science fiction authors on Amazon due to his extremely long and ongoing space opera epic STAR FORCE, one of the longest military science fiction series ever written.
So the dragon(s) are back. That's good and bad. I'm nursing a pet theory that the Lizard's are the deployment of a dino project to exterminate their rim-side foe that they've retreated away from (the biotech one). That's the only way I can explain their success rates, given their tech level, and also the curious organization of their society. It only makes sense that the dinos, after the rebellion, would be looking for new additional mainline troops that wouldn't lose them entire planet bases at a time, which could effectively counterpunch by exploiting genetic variation, and which could never challenge them.
I'm not sure how I feel about the expansion plan. Getting these new races into Star Force seems to be proof positive that it's a good idea so far.. but then again so it was for the dinos. We'll see how that goes.
Thinking about the new Archon who's boosting herself up to Trailblazer levels.
I just finished box set 57-60. It is the book highlight for me when the trailblazers get new skills or discover something from the pyramid. In this set there was a visit from the old ones that was the highlight. I wish I had a way to contact the author. A list of civilizations and races in the story would be helpful. So would a map.
The series is fairly well thought out, with a lot of time spent laying foundations and creating the seeds of human empire in space. Though fanciful in many ways, and sorely needing better spell checking, it goes farther than any other story I have read in how the empire is built.
And the Star Force saga continues and grows stronger and more encompassing. With each book showing more of the unknown that exist outside our presence on our own world. You will need to excuse me as I am about to delve into the next book of what has hints of our future.
The author is jumping around a lot to keep the readers interest. Sometimes gets hard to keep track of. Few places in the book the author seems to get lost. All and all a very entertaining read.
Good storyline and good plot development! There are (perhaps) too many threads and I sometimes get a bit lost. However, perhaps that's just me! This series is very interesting and although a bit repetitive at times, in general it's very well done.
Book 15 and it still doesn't get old.I'm gonna read the whole series and then some.Quite the epic.Being a fan of military Sci-fi ,this is definitely one of my top five.
I'm on book 16 and have found the entire series to be engrossing and most entertaining. The one fault I've found that is most annoying is that the editing is abysmal. I specifically & expressly request of the author or publisher is to do your homework and correct the editing.
A new Archon beating Morgan’s records An ally who has been mandated to hold the Lizards An ally who finally learned to do what they were told All a great story
With each book my interest in each Star Force chapter gets better and better and the author at times will even follow the life and training path of a single individual that’s not high in the chain of command or just a soldier making his or her mark.
