And The Sweet

Rate this book
Deception. Envy. Obsession.

A whisper of a rumour here, a taunt of false promises there.

I allowed myself to be led. Far worse than the alcohol could have ever accomplished and I nearly lost everything in the process.

Now I'm just trying to make things right, to fix my mistakes. But I don't know if it's even possible at this point.

Because there are threats looming on the horizon I never would have imagined.

A wraith from a past I can’t even remember.

My choices are my own. But I'm not alone in this struggle. All I can do is hope I don't destroy everything before I have a chance to finally make things right again.

Because nothing is off-limits. Not even murder.

And the Sweet is the exhilarating conclusion to The Bitter.

And The Sweet by Delilah Frost is the sequel to The Bitter. In this book we return to see what happens in the lives of Chase Delane and Cecelia Santos. They met as teenagers in rehab, Chase addicted to alcohol, Cecelia to heroin. Both had families that abandoned them and they quickly formed a bond. That bond is still strong a decade later. They continue to struggle to have normal lives. Chase works in construction and fights on weekends while she is a bartender. Temptation is everywhere and it seems everyone is against them. When several people from their past returns, while it be good or bad?
I still like the beginning of their time together the most. Back when they were innocent and struggling to be accepted by anyone. It had more emotion and reached out to me the most. During their adult years I kept wondering why Chase is such an idiot and doesn’t listen to Celia. Things finally get exciting towards the end and that’s the part I enjoyed most of book two, finally being able to forget the past and moving on. I enjoyed reading The Addiction series and hope to see more from Delilah.

Addiction is something you fight for lifetime no matter what that addiction is. Sometimes it can overshadow other things and hide the obvious. While Chase does redeem himself in this book it is still a very emotional read about 2 people emotionally immature and trying to work it all out. While they did play against a stacked deck they do have success and find a way to make it all work out. There is plenty of excitement in the series and lots of mental and emotional battles, trust is a hard thing to share or give when it has been abused. Great ending.

And the Sweet by Delilah Frost is a five star follow up to The Bitter. Please go read The Bitter if you have not done so yet. And the Sweet it's the second book in the Addiction series and Delilah Frost has still found a way to keep the reader on her toes find out what is going to happen next. The style of her writing keeps you searching for more. Celia and Chace met in rehab a couple years ago when they were both sixteen. Such a young age to be dealing with the drama that had become their lives. This rehab was an expensive one but just because their families were paying a lot for rehab, did not mean they were cared for by anyone. Growing up like that was rough but now they had each other to lean on. That is until Chace listened to the wrong people and told Celia that she needed to go ruin someone else's life. He thought he knew what was best and left her with more hurt than she had ever felt before in her life. After several weeks with no word from her, he became concerned for her well being and sought her out. After casing where she worked and her old apartment, he finally caught up to her. But she wanted nothing to do with him since he was the one that had broken her heart. When they finally reconcile their relationship, things are looking up until a ghost from their past shows up and tries to ruin everything.

And The Sweet is the second book in the Addiction Series and the conclusion to Chase and Cecelia’s story. It is a Romantic Drama that incorporates a lot of suspense and action- that had me on the edge of my seat.
This book follows on from The Bitter and if you haven’t read The Bitter yet, you really should- it will give you a much better perspective of this book, the backstory and what the characters have been through, to get them to this point.
Chace and Cecelia began their journey in The Bitter, when they were both placed in rehab by their respective families- they are 16 years old. Disowned by their families, they are pretty much at the mercy of the system until they turn 18 and are able to leave. They find themselves in Chicago working to make ends meet and trying to avoid the temptations that may lead them back into addiction.
Chace starts ‘underground’ street fighting to earn extra money- and is quite good at it, winning consistently. He gains a lot of attention and notoriety, which leads to much gossiping and manipulation. When rumours start circulating about Cecelia being unfaithful, Chace believes the hype and confronts Cecelia.
“I told her to leave me alone. To stay away. To forget me because I had plans, in my anger, in my foolishness, to forget her. Because I told her she was nothing to me. No, less than nothing. A waste. I told her I wished we’d never met because she was the reason for my unhappiness, for my failure”…….
“And she listened”.
She’s gone!
Chace realises pretty quickly, that he has made a monumental error in judgement and starts desperately looking for Cecelia, to try to put things right. He looks for her everywhere; he is so lost without her and his fruitless searching, leaves him feeling hopeless and broken-hearted.
“Now she’s gone. Lost. Vanished. It’s as if she never existed”.
Months later he finally finds her, still working at the same swanky French restaurant she was at before they separated. With the help of a friend, Chace is able to convince Cecelia to see him and talk things through. They end up in bed together, both unable to deny their chemistry- but the doubt and mistrust that drove them apart in the first place, still lingers. Their relationship is more fragile than ever before, with unanswered questions weighing on both their minds. They need to learn to trust each other again and overcome the insecurities that have plagued them.
When someone from the past appears, bringing chaos, fear and danger with them- Chace and Cecelia must find a way through the turmoil, without one of them making the ultimate sacrifice. If they can survive this treat, what does the future hold?
The story has a lot of intrigue and suspense, which had me on the edge of my seat, anxiously scouring the pages to find the outcome to everything that was happening.
I felt so devastated for the characters and really wanted things to work out well for them. I was angry at Chace for being a total douche-bag and my heart ached for Cecelia. I would have liked to have heard more about Cecelia’s thoughts, feelings and what she was going through- as the story is told from Chace’s point of view.
Ms. Frost has wrapped up the story really well, the conclusion was really thrilling. I had my heart in my mouth for the last few chapters. Delilah Frost has produced another engrossing book and I highly recommend reading it- you won’t be disappointed.
I will be keeping track of Ms. Frost; to see what she will be releasing next- I know it will be amazing!

The Sweet (addiction series book 2) by Delilah Frost is a great ending to the Bitter. As in the title of the first book, bitter, the lives of the main characters Chace and Cecelia are just that bitter. They are addicts in not only substance but each other. They were drawn to each other and as they are both starving for attention by their parents they turn toward each other. They are drawn to be together. Neither one trusts the other but yet they rely on each other. The ending of this series could have been predictable but this author saw differently in how to end this series. I loved how this ended and yet was sad at the same time knowing that this was the end. I was impressed with her first book and yet duly impressed with her second book. I give the Sweet a rating of 5 stars.

And the Sweet is the conclusion to The Bitter by Delilah Frost. I loved, loved, loved this book/series. The characters gripped me from the beginning of the first book to the end of the second one. Delilah Frost and her characters of Cecelia and Chace stole my heart. They absolutely broke it in Book one, The Bitter, so I was really hoping for a happy ending! I needed it kind of like Chace needed Cecelia.

“My body craves Cecelia like she’s water or air. My heart loves her heart. My soul knows her soul. My mind thirsts for her mind. And my body, as it begins to stir for her once again, my body aches for her body.”

Addiction is very real and comes in many forms. Not only pills and alcohol but destructive behavior and even the love for something or someone can be an addiction. This book is not for the faint of heart as addiction, of any kind, is not easy to read about. Chace and Cecelia don’t have a family to lean on, no friends to help when the times get tough. They learned to lean on each other during rehab. And then they learned how to depend on each other and make a few friends in the process of growing up. I enjoyed watching Chace mature from a troubled abandoned teenager to a responsible adult, even if he didn’t see himself that way yet. I wish I could see more through Cecelia’s point of view but I truly think that might be a little more devastating, not only for the reader but as a writer as well!
This story brought out many feelings while I was reading it. Mostly there was the anticipation that something was going to happen. It was written in Chace’s point of view so there was just this feeling through-out the book that even though he was trying to change and make things right, something bigger was about to happen. The wanting, the need, the desperation, the actual heart break and the build-up of what could be, gutted me!
You won’t be sorry if you read this book, just be sure to start with book one! Oh and I really want more from Frost!!

And the Sweet By Delilah Frost
5 stars

This is the second book in the Addiction series. It can be read as a stand alone without feeling lost throughout the book. I would recommend reading book one The Bitter to enhance your read of And the Sweet. Also, it is quite an emotional read and will have you on a roller coaster of twist and turns and ups and downs throughout Cecelia and Chance’s struggles and beginning of their story.

“That old saying: you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone rings in my head every second of every moment. With every breath. Every blink. It’s ridiculous. I haven’t lost anything. I have lost everything...I can’t go forward. I can’t go back. I know nothing. I have nothing.”

Chace has been searching for Cecelia for months worried he'd hear she not only disappeared, but that she used again and od’ed. He never gave up on his search for her and finally it paid off. Of course it's where he'd never expect to find her. That ended up being the easy part. There was so much hurt, betrayal, distrust and emotional as well as physical distance between them since he last saw her.

Chace gave up on his fighting while he was searching for Cecelia. Slowly he tried to get back the pieces he lost of himself since the night he hurt Cecelia. When he goes back to fight the first time there are a lot of new faces and people who seem to have it out for him, but he doesn't know why. As he visits he starts getting more suspicious of things people are accusing him of and the way they watch Cecelia and himself.

Cecelia and Chace fall into new routines, but it's without trust or connection. They aren't nearly as close to the way they were and it doesn't appear they will ever regain the relationship they had for so many years. Chace had done the one thing that would destroy her the most...he had abandoned her and isn't sure they will recover from his actions.

“It’s clear I still don’t know how to trust her. I’m trying to get past her transgressions, but it’s a struggle. More though, she doesn’t trust me and given my reaction, I can’t blame her. It’s a precarious rope we’re walking. Precarious and I feel like it will snap at any moment.”

People from their past turn back up in their lives. Some are welcome, but a few aren't. Cecelia and Chance haven't figured out what they are after, but know they will be looking over their shoulders and waiting for the other shoe to drop.

“The Sweet” is a continuation and/or a sequel to the first book called, “The Bitter” by an awesome author. An author who I will follow in the future when looking for a new book to read. I enjoyed reading both of these books. The second book was of course was a conclusion to the intense love story that occurs in this fantastic story! Chace and Cecelia continue to live their lives full of trust issues. They continue to live in a world full of unsavory people who are looking to hurt each other to get the upper hand. The rumors continue to float around affecting Chace’s judgement about what Cecelia is doing or not doing! She has tries to convince him countless times how much she loves him but only time will tell. There issues stem from countless years of being together, going through some really rough times and families who basically non existent. The trust issues do not take away how strong the love is between these two amazing characters. Believe it or not!

The word obsession came to mind after reading the second book. Cecelia and Chace most definitely had an obsession for each other that proved to be good and bad! They work on rebuilding their relationship in this book due to circumstances that happened to separate them for a period of time. They each realize how much the other one means to them. What they will do for the other. Just how far they will go to protect the other.

Periodically, I couldn’t help but be emotional and tearful over what was happening with Cecila and Chace. I just wanted to shake them both and say, “get it together” or “do something thing” or even “don’t believe that person” but it’s only a book and I can’t really talk to the characters. I was totally hoping that Cecelia and Chace would stick together through all the hell and come out on top.

I gave the story 5 stars. The book was just as fast as the first one and just as good. I loved that the story had a real conclusion to the story. I loved that there was some closure for me as the reader! So, remember everyone read the first book first!!!! Oh! One last thing the wild sex sessions were wild and not for the innocent!!!

And The Sweet (Addition #2) by Delilah Frost is the second story in the Addiction series. This story is a continuation of Chace and Cecilia's story from The Bitter (Addiction #1). This story is once again emotional, suspenseful, and full of drama. This story will show you what happens when you try to put all the bad decisions behind hind you. Find out what happens with Chace and Cecilia!

Chace is a young man who works as a construction worker and street fights on the weekends. He is realizing his one mistake and that is letting her go. He told her to stay away from him, so she did. He can't let her go. What will happen when he shows up at her work one night? He just wants to talk and explain, will she let him? He just wants to fix things, fix his mistakes but will he? Will she give him that chance?

Cecilia is a young woman who has been hurt by the one person she trusted and love. What will she do when he shows up at her work? Will she forgive him? Will she give him the chance to explain himself? Will she get a chance to explain herself?

Their story is once again a heart puller that will make you want to cry in parts and angry in the next. What will happen with them as they try to fight their way through life? Will their past come back and threaten their life? Their choices are their own but how will it effect each other? Will he keep them safe? Their story will pull you into their dark world of addiction, drama and threats. What will happen to them? Will they find their way to the end?

This is my second read by Delilah Frost. Delilah loves to bring her characters to life and sharing them is her dream come true. She is a lover of life and explorer of experience. She enjoys reading stories that tug at the heart but prefers the happier ever afters. She writes stories about real life, real experiences while trying to find hope in all the grittiness. This story is real page turner, it will keep you turning pages until the end. You will totally lose track of time with this story. I highly suggest this story as I know you will love it as much as I have.

YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE UNTIL...
And the Sweet is the second in the Addiction Series. This book is as good as the first and you need to read The Bitter first or you won’t be able to follow the story. I found myself pulling for the two strongest characters I have read about in a long time!
Chace and Cecelia aka Celia have nothing but each other since they left rehab. Chase’s family has totally shunned him and says whatever it takes to keep the family name without tarnish. They only have one son and Chace isn’t it. He knows he made mistakes and has learned from them but it doesn’t matter. Cecelia has only a “Daddy Dearest” and he can’t stand the site of his only daughter. All her life she has been quite and alone not letting anyone in, that way she doesn’t get hurt again.
They have moved to Chicago and Chace gets involved in some illegal activities with some guys that are doing the same thing he is. There is lots of money to be had if you are good enough and Chace is good enough. His apartment is less than desirable but he doesn’t care working, winning and finding Celia is all that matters to Chace. Rumors have a way of destroying relationships and believing said rumors has torn Celia and Chace apart and he has no idea where to look for her. He never gave Celia the chance to tell him her side.
Cecelia can’t believe that Chace would listen to rumors from those losers he hangs with but he did. She is torn apart inside; every day is a struggle the sadness and urges to go back to her old life and use again are almost overbearing. She misses Chace so much, she goes to work puts up an act and plasters a fake smile on her face, gets off, goes home and repeats it all over again the next day with no hope. Will they ever find each other again or will the evil from their past finally kill them?
Delilah Frost has written a book that is a MUST READ! Her writing will keep you on the edge of your seat! I love these characters and how strong they are even against all odds. I love the way the story unfolds and I couldn’t put it down. It truly plays out like a movie. Thank you, Delilah Frost, job well done!

Book Review: And The Sweet
Author Delilah Frost
FIVE STARS
And The Sweet is the conclusion to The Bitter. A couple of books dealing with addiction and learning to cope and love through the hardest of times. Delilah Frost has done an amazing job of creating the story of a rich boy who had everything given to him. Even though he wasn't the "wanted" son, he didn't have to wonder where his next meal was coming from. But even that has its down side. Knowing he would never measure up to his older brother, Chace turned to alcohol and prescription drugs to cope.
In And The Sweet, we see that Chace is desperatly trying to win back Celia. Trying to make up for being the untrusting jerk that he was in The Bitter. Celia is a shell of the woman she was when she and Chace split. Depressed and alone, she has fought to keep it together and stay sane. When Chace finally does see her and try to talk to her, he realizes how he hurt her by telling her to go away.
Trying to learn to trust each other again they still have their demons and their foes. Chace is still doing the underground fighting on the weekends, Celia comes and lends him moral support and he once again rises from the dust to become the most sought after. Everyone wants to try to take down Chace yet it seems he can't be beat.
Then the past comes back to haunt them. If you read The Bitter you will recall the month long cocaine binge the two of them had and you will be shocked and saddened by the events that take place all of these years later. While neither of them remember what happened exactly in that time they were using cocaine, it is brought to their attention.

This book was a great five star read and has a fantastic ending and I was drawn even more into this book that I was The Bitter. This is definately not a stand alone. If you haven't read The Bitter you need to. And The Sweet picks right up from where the other left off and you wont know the back story to And the Sweet without it.

And The Sweet is a fantastic ending to The Bitter which is part of the ‘Addiction’ Series by Delilah Frost. It picks up exactly where The Bitter finishes and we see Chace having realised he had made a massive mistake in believing all the rumours about Celia. He is desperately searching for her. Please note that this is not a stand-alone novel and The Bitter must be read first.
I have to say I was worried that this book wouldn’t live up to my expectations because the first book was so captivating but the author has done a brilliant job. It was an emotional read and I was in tears a few times. I was just so desperate for Chace and Celia to be together, finally get past their addictions and start a new positive life proving society wrong.

For me out of the two main characters in this book my heart just broke for Celia, that poor girl is crying out to be loved. She really does have a good poker face and hides her emotions well! I think my opinion of her has changed so much since reading this story and I personally would have liked to have seen maybe a few chapters from her point of view; however we do get some answers from her when she confesses all to Chace. I still liked Chace’s character, he loves Celia so much but he just can’t help listening to what other people are saying and having that cloud his judgment.
And The Sweet is definitely more about Chace and Celia trying to rebuild their relationship and keeping their addictions at bay – even when someone from their past turns up trying to destroy them.

It was good to see some positive secondary characters appear in the story. I’m definitely wondering if we will see a story about Melody and Stretch. Stretch is a bit of a mysterious character, I can’t decide if he is good or not so good, so it would be interesting to hear his story.
I thought that And The Sweet was a great conclusion to The Bitter and I absolutely loved the ending!!

I give And The Sweet by Delilah Frost 4.5 stars.

4.5 out of 5 stars

I had been waiting very impatiently for this book to come out after reading the first one. This is the amazing conclusion to Chace and Celia’s story. The first story broke my heart and the second one repaired it. However, it did take a long time in the book to even begin the repairing process. This book starts where ‘The Bitter’ finishes which is good because it means we have not missed out on anything.

Cecelia is missing and Chace is trying to find her. He is doing everything he can to be able to talk to her and explain everything. He knew he made a mistake as soon as she was no longer around and he wanted to fix that.

‘She’s my truth. Without Cecelia, I am nothing’

When Chace finally manages to locate Celia, they are still having issues with trust. Which as everyone knows, is a crucial foundation of a relationship. It did take a while, but the pair did make it to a point where things were looking up. But Chace and Celia seem to be very unlucky and someone that they had long forgotten about reappeared back into their life and started demanding things. This person was using Chace’s weakness against him because he would do anything for her.

‘Cecelia Stantos is my weakness’

I was empathising with Celia more in this book and my heart was hurting for her. We learn a lot more about her in this book and I would have liked hearing her POV. But I still loved the book even without this.

‘I was just tired of being insignificant. Of being used. No one really cared about me before’

This book shows that just because you have hit rock bottom in your life, it does not mean you will stay there. As long as you fight for what you want. Delilah, you are an awesome author and I cannot wait to read your next book.

I read the bitter by Delilah Frost and this is the second book, and the sweet, I have to say is even better than the first. The blurb is really what did it for me and made me WANT to read more. “Nothing is off Limits. Including Murder.” And let’s say just say the blurb is amazing but the contents inside are even better. Frost truly knows how to write about strong characters, amazing plots, and will draw you in almost instantly.

The obsession Chase and Cecelia have for one another is both good and bad. Having been separated in the end of the first book, this book goes through the process of them having to rebuild themselves and the relationship that was almost destroyed. While yes there is plenty bad between them, the passion they have is shown in every single sex scene. Over and Over again Cecelia tries to show Chase that she truly loves him and with the rumors going around, he just can’t. Cecelia finally smarts up and leaves, which is eye opening for them both. Both have many trust issues but with the life they had led, you will understand. When the reunion takes place you truly get closure and see the things come together that you as the read wanted from the very beginning. But through the story, you see the past is the past and the strength these two have as a couple, will leave you reading this book in one sitting. Young love can be forever love, sometimes you just need to grow up and know that what you lost is what you want.

This is definitely a 5 star read that I have already recommended to friends. The characters draw you in and the plot is very strong. You see both characters grow, and yes you will get mad and want to smack them both. Yes you will cry as the sadness will touch your heart. But what I love the most is dispite all the bad, they both see that together they are stronger and that my friends is what love is.

And the sweet by Delilah Frost a bitter-sweet five-star read. This is the second book in the Addiction series and follows on from the first book The Bitter, creating the Bitter and the sweet it tells the story of Chace Delane and Cecilia Santos. The first book was amazing, and this book is just as good if not better. It’s a fitting conclusion to the epic love story that is Chace and Cecilia, they have been through so much, and they have you on a cliff hanger right up to the last few pages, after both overcoming and fighting their addictions in the first book, and seeming to have it sorted, then breaking up after some awful rumours, and Chace not listening to Cecilia, meaning she makes a stupid decision that could have broken them forever.
They are still fighting their addictions and it will be a daily battle for whatever life they have left. Both Chace and Cecilia grow up in this book, in more than just age, it’s nice seeing them both grow and realise important life lessons, they don’t always make the right decisions, and must battle for everything they have. Especially when someone from their past that neither of them have a good recollection of comes out of the woodwork, looking for more than they are willing to give, and possibly wanting to take more than either of them are physically able to give. Especially when they bring friends into the equation.
Chase is still underground fighting and with Cecilia by his side, he is winning ever fight, and she has proven before that she can fight her own battles, the problem is can they fight together instead of fighting each other. If they can come together they can fight the battle of their lives that someone won’t come out of alive, but will it be one of the couple who have fought for every single thing they have? Or will it be the someone from their past who seems to be trying to take everything from them.

The Sweet is the second book in the Addiction Series by Delilah Frost.
Picking up where book one ends, you see how Chace’s life has hit rock bottom. He realizes the way he handle himself and the actions and accusations he had created about Cecelia has the one person that would always stand by his side leave him. He needs her. Chace is searching for Cecelia everywhere he goes. He just wants to talk to her how he handled everything. He is so sorry for the way he acted because he lost Cecelia. He finally gets a chance to talk to her. Chace takes Cecelia to a fight and for the first time in months he feels alive. Weeks, months, the same routine goes on and on. Chace still feels the same insecurities and delusions. He is so tired and sick of it all. Then one day everything comes to a halt. A ghost from Chace and Cecelia’s past comes back and starts stirring up trouble. Chace made some enemies and he sees how messed up his life was when he was on drugs. He didn’t even realize he did half of the stuff he did. Chace’s number one enemy comes after Cecelia and Chace. Cecelia saves Chace life and this leads them to run away. The only people that know they left Chicago is their best friends and Chace’s older brother who all surprise Chace at Cecelia and his wedding. Yes, these two lost souls finally have what they always wanted a “family”.
I love how this book gave these two characters a happy ending. Out of anyone they deserved it. The author did a wonderful job writing these two books. I loved how I could pick the second book up and it started right where the first one ended. I enjoyed reading both of them and I am hoping more books will come out. Hint. Hint. Mel and Stretch.

And the Sweet. by Delilah Frost. ****4****
"My choices are my own. I am not alone in this struggle. I hope everything is not destroyed before I can make it right again. I was stupid and ran off the one girl I loved over lies told about her that I believed. I should have went to her and got her side of the story but I was stupid and did. it let her explain. I told her she was a mistake and never wanted to see her again. It was lies, all lies spewing out of my mouth and like the horror on her face as I watched my words hurt her, I could not stop them coming out. Now I have to live with what I did. I have searched for her for weeks and weeks but to no avail. Someone from my past is asking around to find me and Cecilia, they want to hurt her to get back at me. when I was doing drugs I don't remember what I did and who I did it to. Chace needs to find Cecilia before the guys looking for them does. He is frantic to find her, he thinks he sees her everywhere he goes. He finally finds her working at the place she did before they broke up. when she sees him she is shocked and then the hurt comes back remembering what he said to her. She tells him he has no obligation to worry about her. ill even make sure to keep away from anyone you know so you don't have to hear anything more about me and gets in a cab and leaves him on the street.
Chace finally gets her friend to help smooth the way for them. Even though they have been a part for a couple of years their reunion is. it easy but their love for each other really did triumph after all the odds that were against them. They could have given up on each other but they realized They were stronger together.
This was such a good series and the author did a great job with such a delicate subject.

And The Sweet is book two in the Addiction Series by Delilah Frost. This is the second book I have read and once again this author does not disappoint! Her way of telling a story can just bring tears to your eyes. This book must be read after reading The Bitter, this is not a standalone and should not be read as such!
Chace is lost, he made the biggest mistake of his life and has no way of making it right. He let his judgement be clouded by what others were saying and not getting the story from cecelia before passing judgement. This could be due to his past, but we should always give those we love a chance to either explain or to put lies to rest.
Listening to what others say and not getting the truth can come back to bite you big time and Chace is learning this the hard way. When someone from his past is beginning to cause some trouble Chace has no choice, but to find her and make sure she is okay before anything can happen to her. Seeing the hurt she still feels is like a knife to the heart for him.
Trying to fend off the past and work their way toward a future is not easy, but love is strong and the things we go through in life are what make us who we become. Sometimes the bitter times are what make us stronger as people and our relationships.
This story is amazing. The way she separates the stories into two different books where we get the hard and tough side, then the side where we get the part where it shows things can turn out okay is truly brilliant. I also love the way she shows us the real fight and tough side of addiction and truly overcoming the past that they both grew up with. If you read The Bitter I definitely say read this book. If you have not read either of the Addiction Series books, what are you waiting for?!?!?

This book will have you in tears from start to finish. The author will pull at your heart strings and not let go. Chace is where we left him confused, betrayed and feeling guilty over Celia. He still doesn’t know truth from lies. When Celia comes back into his life he takes what he can get and is seconds from the edge when it’s confession time from both sides.
Peace can only last for so long. Chace and Celia are at a point where life seems too good to be true when a new threat comes into their life. From a past they don’t remember comes to life or death conclusion.
Man I enjoyed this book. I loved it from Chace's POV. Though a chapter or two from Celia POV would’ve been awesome. To know how she was doing through all the drama. Chace is different from my normal book boos.
He has his pencil pierced which was shocking but interesting. I love tattoos and he was covered. I did want to slap him and curse him for not believing Celia. I mean you have known her since you were sixteen how do you not trust her. Man I could feel her pain through the pages. I would live to see visuals of him fighting he seems so graceful and sharp.
Celia is my type of girl. Strong and shy. She puts out that image of having it together when inside she is a big bubbling mess. She put up the front that everything was ok until it just wasn’t. I will post a video of me begging for a book in her POV. I just couldn’t get enough of them together.
They were combustible, chaotic, erotic, messy and beautiful in their love. Even though it was so awesome to see them moving on I kind of wished for it not to end.

And The Sweet by Delilah Frost is the fantastic conclusion to the two book Addiction Series. The first book, Bitter, needs to be read first. This book put me through the ringer but it was so so good! Delilah Frost now has a fan for life!

And The Sweet picks up exactly where the Bitter ended. Chace is frantic looking for Cecelia, and refuses to give up. Even though he is torn with believing her, he needs her, and will stop at nothing. Hitting rock bottom he knows it's time to apologize face to face and to try and right his wrongs. With finally finding her, she is shocked and doesn't really know how to act and runs off. Even though they haven't seen each other, Cecelia and Chace are extremely dependant on each other which causes the relationship to go back where it started and old habits to resurface. But neither will give in that easily and they get it to where they can truly talk and reveal their truths. But the problem is, Chace’s past and the enemies he’s made, has come back and it threatens everything. Will they be able to forgive and move forward to their future? Or will the threat tear them apart for good?

Wow!! Ms. Frost wrote an excellent conclusion for this series. I devoured this book in one sitting and the push and pull between Chace and Cecelia had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. My heart broke for both of them and I couldn't help but hope that they would get the ending that they deserved. I loved the characters and plot! It was all around an emotional read that was amazing! I am so excited to see what Ms. Frost comes out with next!

And the Sweet by Delilah Frost starts right where The Bitter leaves off, it transitions from one book to the next so smoothly. And the Sweet is the second book in Delilah Frost's addiction series. With that said if your reading this review and you haven't read the bitter, I suggest you read the bitter first. I wouldn't suggest reading this as a stand alone.
And the Sweet is based off Chase and Celia trying to rebuild their relationship and fight their addictions. I found myself very emotionally involved in the story and the charecters. I was brought to tears a couple times. I was rooting on Celia and Chase as if they were my own friends. I also found myself emotionally invested in Stretch and Melody, I wish there was a way to give a better look at them both without taking away from Celia's and Chase's story.
And the Sweet was just as fast paced as The Bitter, I had high hopes based on The Bitter and Frost lived up to them. It was a quick read, which is nice for my busy life, it was the perfect read while waiting at my daughter's gymnastics and football practices.
Frost's writing is captivating and vivid, it paints such a real life story. Not a movie but real life.

I give Delilah Frost's And the Sweet 5 stars! I never felt so resolved with the ending of a series. I look forward to reading more from Delilah Frost. I defiantly would recommend And the Sweet, and like stated before if you haven't read The Bitter, you should definitely read it first. I promise you won't be disappointed with either.

This is the sequel to the book The Bitter. And The Sweet picks up a considerable amount of time after The Bitter ends. Chace is still looking for Cecilia. He has no idea where she is, if she is okay, or what has happened to their relationship. All he knows is that he really messed up big time.

Finally, Chace has the idea to go to Coco where Cecilia works and see if he can find her. Of course, she is still working there. He finally gets to talk to her, but she is not really interested because he truly hurt her. Chace talks to her friend Mel and has Mel bring Cecelia to one of his fights so that they can reconcile.
After everything that has happened however, trust does not come easily for either Chase or Cecelia. Can their relationship even be reconciled?

Just as they are figuring that out, someone from their past comes back to haunt them both. This could be the worst thing possible for both of them
.
The first book had a lot of character development and a lot of plot. This sequel didn’t have quite as much of either thing. I felt like there was a lot of apologizing from Chace over and over again. I understand that it needed to be done, but to me, it was a little overdone. I did like that this book brought Marshall back into Chace’s life and gave him someone to lean and depend on. A true friend.
Overall, this was a great sequel that I would highly recommend. The street fighting played a fairly large role in the book, just as it did in the first book and there was a fair amount of drama that went with that. Definitely a 4 star read!

And the sweet continues immediately after The Bitter left off, you cannot read this without reading that first or you won’t get the full story.
Chace is searching for Celia to apologise for how greatly he misjudged her and realises that she has no-one and nowhere to go. He spends his time working his job, losing his fights and staking out her home and work, all to no avail.
Eventually he manages to get inside the restaurant/bar where she works and finds that she is still alive albeit a shell of her former self.
When he “accidently” bumps into her she tells him to leave her alone which destroys him. Roping in her coworker Melody he manages to get her to his next fight which he, of course, wins.
The embark on a very casual sex filled fling until he can take it no more and they decide to make a proper go of it.
Throughout the book he can’t stop apologising for all the mistakes he made and how he almost destroyed her. Celia still has her hang ups and fears but once they admit they love each other they become more solid.
Unfortunately a massive mistake in their past comes back to haunt them and threatens all that they have built between them. Can they survive?
This book is just as good as the first and Chace is much more likeable in this one. He was a bit of an a***hole in The Bitter but I really rooted for him in this one. Celia is so vulnerable she makes your heart ache for her.
I loved the pace and the emotion of And The Sweet and I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

And the sweet is the follow up of the bitter, I would definitely recommend reading the bitter first so you can really truly understand there backstory and the real depth of there intense emotional storyline.
After chase tells Cecelia to leave him alone and shes the reason for his unhappiness he automatically regrets spewing those awful words but it's to late he's broken her heart and shes gone. He looks absolutely everywhere for her he feel like half a person without her he feels lost he just wants her back with him where she belongs but shes vanished without a trace. After what feels like years but months later he finally finds her and manager to pursue her to talk to him and they end up in bed together not able to deny there scorching hot chemistry but all the doubt, mistrust still lingers and questions unanswered makes there relationship vulnerable and incredibly fragile. Can they pull through together with everything around them trying to tear them apart. With someone coming from the past can they carry on fighting to get there happily ever after or will they gave to live life unhappy and apart...
Once again Delilah Frost has written a truly amazing beautiful emotional storyline I was hooked once again right from the start, it had me at the edge of my seat throughout with how intense I couldn't help but keep reading right til the last page and I wasn't disappointed I have truly enjoyed chases and Cecelia’s story it has had so many ups and downs and twists and turns I 100% recommend this novel amazing.....

And The Sweet by Delilah Frost is the conclusion of Cecelia and Chace’s emotional story. This book picks up a few months after the first book leaves off and Chace is starting to realize how bad he messed up. This book is not a standalone and you need to read the first book to get a good handle on everything going on. As you may remember that last book ended when Chace started to believe the rumors told to him about Cecelia and they succeeded in destroying each other.
Now Chace is realizing that all those rumors were lies and he allowed them to break up with the one woman that he will never be able to live without. All he wants now is a chance to talk to her. He finally gets his chance but things seem like they will never go back to the way things were. As time goes on they start to heal little by little and think that maybe they have a chance. But when the rumors start again and their pasts come back to haunt them; will they be able to handle things together for once or will history repeat itself?
This book has so much angst, heartbreak, sadness, hope and love in it, you will definitely be riding an emotional roller coaster through the whole book. The beginning starts off kinda slow while they are trying to feel each other out but the middle and end are non stop choices, decisions and actions that will leave you waiting anxiously to see how it all turns out. At the end though I was very happy with how things turned out.

"And the Sweet" by Delilah Frost is the second book in the Addiction series and continues the tumultuous relationship between Chace and Cecelia.

Chace Delane is lost without the one person who was always a constant in his life. Still plagued with doubts over whether he made the right decisions, Chace is once again spiraling out of control. Still not trusting in himself or his feelings, he is determined to find Cecelia – even if she doesn’t want to be found. And if he does find her, will outside forces continue to keep them apart?

“I will forever work to make Cecelia believe in not only me, but my love for her. I will forever show her she is my whole life and there is nothing I wouldn’t do for her.”

I was so anxious to find out what happened after The Bitter and the author did not disappoint! Chace and Cecelia are emotionally scarred from their pasts and it interfered hugely with the possibility of their future. Trust is a big issue and Chace’s previous actions left a huge void in Cecelia. Abandonment is something she feared and that is precisely what he did. Only actions and time can prove that Chace really wants her and allowing him that chance is a struggle for her. Also, Chace needs to learn to trust himself and his feelings. Not believing, in part, is what led to the downward spiral of their relationship.

There is so much more that I want to write, but I don’t want to give away too much! The rollercoaster is far from over so go one-click right now!

And The Sweet by Delilah Frost
This is the second book in The Addiction Series by Delilah Frost. My heart swelled so much reading this story. I was pumped to start it as I loved the first installment so much. I knew this one had to be just as good, if not, better. It follows the life of Chace and Cecilia after they get out of rehab, and embark on a journey together on the streets of Chicago with their ups & downs & the in-betweens. It's dirty, and gritty, and heart-breaking and Sweet all at the same time. Once again, I put my errands to the side and read this book from cover to cover quicker than any other book I've read. By the time I got to the last chapter, I was sad for it to end. I needed more, just more every day life of these two characters, and all the characters around them. It was a beautiful ending and made me so happy to live through this journey with them all. Once again the writing style of Delilah Frost is so unique and intriguing to me. It makes for such an easy read. It astounds me how brilliant a mind can work. At the end of this story, Delilah Frost explains how she came about writing this story an I really enjoyed finding out. Many authors don't explain what goes through their minds, and it was refreshing.
As a side note, I hope there is a spin off somewhere down the line.

And The Sweet
By Delilah Frost
☆☆☆☆☆
Part 2 of the Addiction Series
This book has more on street fighting, sexy men and women, addiction and love. Please read The Bitter, before you read And The Sweet.

Cecilia a unwanted or loved lady. Sent to rehabilitation to get rid of the problem. Her father drops her off and washes his hands of her. Now she has moved on and is trying to make a life of her own. Working hard and staying clean is her goal.

Chace his family left him in rehabilitation, could be a smart move on their part. After he works through his addiction, he too moves on. Working hard and staying clean. It's hard for him, but as long as he has Cecilia he could do it. Street fighting gets him extra money, but a steady job keeps him grounded.

Delilah Frost took this story into a new and real journey of life. Trust plays a big part in the outcome of this story. Rich girls with drama are included. In this story of two young adults trying to make it in the big city. Rumors and karma play a strong role in this book. I am pleased with how this story is told. The addiction is real, the trust is compromised and others are involved.Such a real struggle and heart warming. Has all the feels needed to make this a true romance. Well done Delilah Frost.
Not for those under 18, due to strong violence, sexual content and language.

And The Sweet written by Delilah Frost.
“That old saying: you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone rings in my head every second of every moment. With every breath. Every blink. It’s ridiculous. I haven’t lost anything. I have lost everything.”
This is the ending to Delilah Frosts first book: The Bitter. If you haven’t read that yet, stop right now and get it this story will not make sense without it, well you could assume and make guesses but nothing will prepare you for what actually happens in The Bitter. Now on to And The Sweet, this is a bittersweet story. There are so many emotions going through this story that you don’t know who to believe or what to think. Cecilia and Chase are at a though patch in their glasslike relationship the stones have been cast and the glass has shattered and now its time to see if anything can be salvaged. So many choices come back to haunt them but none like their biggest mistake, the one I can not tell you about.
“I know that’s what’s become of my life. I know that I have made really bad choices and I will always be paying for them in some way.”
This storyline is unique and complex and has so many ups and downs but you cant take your eyes away from the words Delilah Frost has written. They suck you in and you can not put it down. Chase and Delilah are so unique and the situations they encounter are intriguing.
