What if life could be simpler and slower, purer and more primal?
What if we had more time to gaze out of the window or walk barefoot in the grass, to cook with fresh ingredients, to spend time with friends and family, to create and invent and explore… what if we made real, human company a priority over digital distraction and virtual reality?
Our world of constant connection can leave us feeling disconnected and dissatisfied; the more time we spend looking at our screens, the less our real lives make sense. ‘Positively Primal’ is a rallying cry for a more human-friendly, earth-friendly existence, drawing on everything from modern science to ancient philosophy, contemporary culture to common sense.
This book will take you on a journey to reconnect with the natural world around you and with the food you eat, to rediscover your body’s fitness and strength, to improve relationships with yourself and others, and to find fulfilment in work. Positively Primal is a greener, cleaner pathway to a healthier lifestyle for you, body and soul.
Add a star if you're interested in a self-help book that's written like advice from a fun and funny, clever and creative, straightforward and supportive friend.
Add another if you'd like your advice to come with a side of science, as most claims are bolstered by some form of research or evidence.
But if you're like me and looking for a book book, this is sadly the star rating I'd give, and if also like me you don't accept the logical fallacy that things as they were done in the past or what's closest to the earth is inherently better, then subtract a star.I
This book is a great self-contained self-help book that's chock full of practical advice, recipes and recommendations, and quotes from fellow folks also on the primal path. All others need not apply.
I absolutely loved this book. I am personally trying to be greener and more in tune with my body and the world around me. This book covers every aspect of life. As a meditation teacher, life coach and Hatha Yoga Instructor this book has and will continue to help me overcome the little things that I have not yet changed. Great read!
A little bit outdated in some sections (due to being published in 2016 & the rapid increase of technology, a pandemic, etc) but still a good read, which I gained things from (which is the most important!)
