Catch up with Smith and Lydia in this Impossible Series Short Story! Two years after being rescued from enslavement, Lydia is still haunted by what she endured in captivity. Smith is determined to help her heal, and he has a decidedly decadent plan to replace her nightmares with a hot fantasy involving their friend Dex.

Sexy short read. I liked it...but it really made me sad for Dex...I still have yet to read about him but the book is ready and waiting for me...cant wait to see him get his HEA. Although at first i didnt like him, when he was standing in the way of the Hero and Heroine of another book...but he has grown on me.
I knew at the end of Lydia and Smith's book she was still healing and still had issues with her scars....so this little short story warmed my heart.....and heated other places 😄. But I loved getting to see her get her self confidence back.
This book is a hot one a continuation from Knight in the series showing that beauty isn't just skin deep but so much more with the right person. Well done Julia.
A sumptuous Impossible short story guaranteed to give you a warm, tingly afterglow!
Sigh...fairytale dreams really do come true.
This Impossible novella-ever-after featuring Smith, my #1 Book Dom, and Lydia, his sweet, gentle-natured sub, was a sinful sundae of pure sumptuous delight! I fell head over heels in love with Smith and Lydia in KNIGHT (Impossible book 4)—a breathtaking, tension-fraught romantic suspense story about a severely traumatized former sex slave who is rescued from brutal captivity and finds true physical and spiritual healing in the arms of a valiant new master. This follow-up short story, DECADENT KNIGHTS, is set two years after she is saved. Lydia, who is now blissfully in love with Smith and enrolled in art school, is trying her best to put her nightmarish ordeal behind her. But although she is no longer the empty shell of a woman she once was—“Abducted. Drugged. Broken. A plaything, a possession”--she is still haunted by her nightmarish past and suffers from a poor body image due to “hideous” physical scars inflicted by her cruel masters. However, never fear…in swoops the devastatingly handsome Agent Smith to the rescue! The chivalrous, silver-eyed Dom, who is deeply devoted to his precious sub, proves his mettle as her knight in black leathered armor once again. Determined to help Lydia overcome her crippling sexual inhibitions, Smith takes his emotionally-fragile paramour under his gentle command at the Decadence BDSM Club for a fantasy-filled night of dark, decadent pleasure!
Fans of the USA Today bestselling Impossible series by Julia Sykes will relish every majestic moment of this foray into unbridled pleasure. I wish I could adequately put into words how blissfully romantic, empowering, and exquisitely sensual, this short story was. How deeply moved I was while devouring it. Lydia and Smith’s love story has always resonated with me because it puts a unique BDSM twist on a timeless tale of hope and salvation…of spiritual rejuvenation, of fusing together two broken hearts and splintered souls. Starkly hypnotic in tone and style, DECADENT KNIGHTS literally took my breath away. I was transfixed, savoring each and every beautifully crafted nuance! Every hot, sexy, soul-branding caress. Every gruffly tender command. Smith's gentless, tempered with his ironclad ownership of her heart, body and soul, was so achingly beautiful and quietly profound it brought tears to my eyes.
Although I am not always a fan of ménage à tois, Ms. Sykes, a gifted writer with a vibrant, gorgeously crafted writing style, always masterfully stages these scenes so they are exquisitely refined and breathtakingly sensual, never raunchy or tasteless, and she surpassed every expectation when Smith solicits the help of his good friend Dex to take part in a hot, torrid three-way with his beloved Lydia. Still reeling over a past heartbreak, the big, blond-haired, blue-eyed Dom is more than happy to help his good pal Smith out in a deliciously kinky scene, to prove to Lydia how beautiful and desirable she truly is..inside and out. Smith had vowed long ago to protect her and cherish her and respect her choices, but he simply cannot allow her to hide her body in shame. Instead, Lydia’s kind-hearted Master commands her to strip herself bare, literally and figuratively, to help her take back control of her life—and her sexuality-- and embrace her feminine power in all it's glory. The connection between Smith and Lydia is as visceral and soul-deep as ever, and, in fact, it feels as if they'd reached an even greater level of intimacy in the two years that had passed since "Knight" ended. And, of course, my heart went out for poor lovelorn Dex and whet my appetite for when he eventually gets his own story.
So if you have a hankering to get swept off your feet yet again by Lydia, Smith and the lovable Impossible crew, Decadent Knights promises to make all your wishes come true!

I read this originally so long ago. To read it separately from their novel and to be reminded about how much Lydia has been through. To read how Smith comforts, adores and heals her is just so damn beautiful. So erotically perfect snippet.
Though this is not my first D/s read, this is the first story I read from JS, a new-to-me author, as part of the anthology For The First Time. A part of the author's Impossible series, it showcases a (book 4 fan fav?) couple together for a scene at their BDSM club. I get that when an author gives snippets like this into established character's lives after their main story has been told it can be a real gift to the fans. So for fans, this could be treat. But for me? But not being acquainted with the overall series arch, nor the author's writing style, or having any clue to the character's relationships or hardships the author's "snippet" failed to generate anything of interest, either in heat or empathy, IMHO, to take a better look into this world...sorry, just too meh for me.
This is not a ménage story between Smith, Lydia and Dex, but is definitely beautifully and tastefully well written, and it takes place at their BDSM club. A real emotional and sexy story about Smith's love and dedication to Lydia helping her regain her self-esteem.
Julia Sykes's writing style does nothing but make me greedy for more and more of her amazing stories.
I was lucky to put my hands on this particular story when I purchase the Anthology For the First Time: Twenty-One Brand New Stories of First Love, a couple months ago and I highly recommend it.
Holy smokes that was HOT!!! I can never get enough of Smith or Dex and this short read was absolutely fantastic! Lydia is always so strong and I just love her. These two Doms are my absolute favorite and they never disappoint!
I love all the characters from Julia`s Impossible Series. She shows such depth in her characters. I love how a characters problems or emotional issues are played out in front of us and we get to observe how they are dealt with. Enjoy her characters and all their stories.
This was a super short but super sexy read. Smith is one of my favorite characters in the series, and Dex is quickly becoming one too. Sexy alpha male times two? Yes, please.
Decadent Knights is a short story by Julia Sykes. The story follows Smith continued effort to show Lydia that she is beautiful regardless of her past and scars. Smith enlisted Dex's help and we are rewarded with a hot but tastefully written menage scene. I recommend you read Knight to get more of Lydia and Smith's back story before you read this book.
