4.5 -- On The Run -- stars

First of all, this book is not a standalone. It’s the second and final part of Jordan and Gage’s love story. I loved this part more than the previous part. This book starts where Unforgettable ended. I had many questions after a certain event near the end of Unforgettable, so I started this book immediately when I got it. The suspense is amazing! I kept turning the pages, because I wanted to know what happened next. I was also wondering how their story was going the end. There were several twists and turns in this book that shocked me. I finally got all the answers and it wasn’t what I expected. The writing is, as usual, great and the pace is perfect.

I loved Gage and Jordan as much as I did in the previous part. Gage is a strong man who wants and needs to protect Jordan. He would do anything for her. Jordan has been through a lot, but she’s so strong. She discovers things she never expected and handles them well. She loves Gage and would never want to hurt him. Jordan and Gage are ready fight for each other and whatever they face. They love each other very much and want to be together forever, but they still have their fears and insecurities. I finally got to know Gage’s past and that made me understand why he acted the way he did at certain moments. Jordan didn’t always make the best decisions in my opinion, but because I really knew what she thought or how she felt, made it easier for me to understand her.

Unbreakable is the last book in the Heart of Stone series and I’m sad it’s over. I loved reading how Tristan and Nina fell in love and how they faced a lot of things together. They got their happily ever after. Jordan and Gage get a second chance in love. They look forward to spending the rest of their lives together. I do wish I knew more about their happily ever after, because this is the last book. They were only reunited for a few weeks and I wanted to read more about them a couple of years later.

✨ Unbreakable is an intense, emotional continuation of unforgettable love tested by trust and secrets. The spice level is high, with plenty of passion driving the connection between the characters. The tone is dramatic, angsty, and deeply romantic, showing how fragile yet powerful love can be when faced with betrayal and fear. The ending is emotional but ultimately hopeful, leaving readers with the sense that love truly can endure the hardest trials.

Unbreakable is book 5 in the Heart of Stone series. It is the conclusion to Gage and Jordan's story.

In Unbreakable, we pick up where last book left off. Jordan and Gage are on the run from psychotic stalkers and con artists Hailey and Justin. Jordan has yet to figure out why she was targeted then violently coerced into a marriage with an impostor. They flee to Gage's family's house in Wyoming, thinking that they will be hard to track down up there. In a twist, Hailey and Justin had help from an unlikely source and Justin makes a play to kidnap Jordan again. Luckily Gage gets to her in time, detaining the assailant and threatening death to find the answers as to their motives. When Justin reveals the source, it creates a divide between Jordan and Gage, Gage refusing to believe who it is because of their connection.

During this crazy cat and mouse chase, Gage begins to doubt his ability to protect Jordan after they run to New Orleans to hide out but end up getting kidnapped again, but also separated.

The suspense continues throughout as Jordan and Gage tried to figure out the connection and motives, but fail to do so.

Can Gage convince himself that love and emotional security are more important than protection, just as Jordan is trying to do?

Will Jordan find the secret behind Hailey's motives, which includes a dark family secret?

I've loved this entire series, from Nina and Tristan's wild love, to Jordan and Gage's suspenseful chase to love and life. These books are well written and tackle all kinds of twists and turns! 4 stars for Gage and Jordan's love

The story of Jordan and Gage continues in Unbreakable, but to really understand what is happening in this book you need to read Unforgettable, the first book in this Heart of Stone spinoff. Jordan and Gage were first introduced in the Heart of Stone series, Jordan and Nina are best friends and Gage is head of security for Tristan Stone. From the beginning, I just knew that there would be more to their story. This book starts where Unforgettable ended, and the only thing that Gage and Jordan know for sure, is that they love one another and no matter what, they will stay together. While Jordan deals with the fact that her ex fiance and his sister are not who they said they were, Gage deals with a bad experience from his past, and the hope that he will be enough to protect Jordan when she needs him the most. The entire time I was reading this book, I kept thinking why are these people doing this, what do they hope to gain, but nothing prepared me for the answer. I can honestly say I never saw that one coming. So, if you love a romance loaded with suspense, drama, and passion, get ready for a wild ride. By the end of this book, you will have all the answers to the questions that the previous book left you with. I bet some of them will surprise you.
Although The Heart of Stone series has now come to an end, I think that the ending was perfect. Tristan and Nina will always be one of my favorite book couples, and with Jordan as Nina's best friend, the only thing I can say is that "good things happen to good people".
If you haven't read this series, do yourself a favor, and read it. I have done so several times, and I have enjoyed each time!!

There was just too much in this book for me. Gage was so mysterious and that was lost. Jordan seemed whiny. I don't think the storyline was very smooth and a few details were off. In NO, she talked about a black dress, then Gage said it was red and then it was black again. The most confusing detail was his cell phone at the attack at the NO house. Jordan had it but then Daryl says he tracked Gage to the Queens warehouse via GPS on his cell phone that Jordan was suppose to have. Then Gage tries to use the new cell that Daryl gives him (right away) to call her on his phone that he remembered she had. Then how did Daryl track and find Gage? I felt the reunion could have been better as well. I was disappointed in how their story went. It seemed like parts drug out so much I was bored and then rapidly solved with little detail.

Great End to a Great Series.

As sad as I am that this is the end of the Heart of Stone Series, I'm happy that Jordan and Gage got their happily ever after. Gage didn't think he was good enough for Jordan and she just wanted him the way he was. I love the relationship that Nina and Jordan have. They are best friends with no questions asked. Tristan and Gage understand this and support them both. Just to know that these two will live next to each other and raise their families together makes it easier to say good bye to one of my favorite series. This series was the start of my love for K. M. Scott books. I can't wait to see what she writes next. She never disappoints, I'm a fan for life.

Unbreakable #7 series

Wow, truly great read about Jordan and Gage, Gage felt he was doing the right thing breaking it off with Jordan after getting threatening letters toward her, if he didn't break things off with her. Consequently she meets someone, not who he says he is, she ends up kidnapped, Drugged, held against her will, forced to marry a con artist while drugged. Then Gage saves her but they run to protect her, unable to find reasons for her being kidnapped, why, by whom, crazy stuff, amazing story! Enjoy this journey between these two, great read!

going in I didn't have a lot of expectations. the last book was a train wreck as was the ending to the club x series but still I have it a shot. it was such a train wreck. plot holes, continuity errors, rushed pacing, twists that were so absurd they made the entire heart of Stone series a joke... and considering what the author put Tristan and Nina through you couldn't imagine anything more convoluted.

Filled with suspense from the beginning. This book took me on a journey all over with Jordan and Gage running for their life. The romance was good too. The twist at the end was an added bonus. Received book as a gift.
