About the author

Alexia is a self-proclaimed hermit, puppers-loving girl who likes to write anything romance—be it contemporary, historical, fantasy, paranormal, or a combination of any of these. Currently residing in Aotearoa (land of the long white cloud), she spends seventy percent of her time watching anime and reading comics and the other thirty percent daydreaming about food and procrastinating. Whatever’s left she actually uses to write books that may or may not bring her a few precious gold coins to support her lifestyle.

‘Chained to You: Contracted’ is the second volume in the 'Dark Billionaires' series and follows Mia Donovan, a twenty-two year old intent on saving her brother, and James Maxwell, a powerful billionaire with great seduction skills.
Mia and James go through a lot in this novella, and I liked how both characters have started to change and evolve from what they used to be in the past and what we saw them as. Mia has matured slightly, and she has become more confident in who she is. James, on the other hand, is starting to reveal a better side to himself.
We get to meet Andy Donovan, the elusive younger brother of Mia whom's mistakes led to the start of the story. He wasn't a character who surprised me, and this I found a letdown.
Once again, I loved how more confident, mature and flowing the writing was in this novella! The author has made great progress from her beginning days as a Wattpad writer and this shows itself. I loved how there were almost no awkward phrasing or sentences. A big win for the authoress!
I couldn't spot any typos or spelling mistakes that usually pepper ARCs in ebook format. I also loved the formatting and how neat and minimalistic it was. It made the reading experience a pleasure! The grammar was good but the prose could still be worked on a little.
I found that some of the steamier scenes could have the emotional part concentrated on a lot more. I felt a bit withdrawn sometimes, another small letdown for me. The scenes were also a bit rushed and I would recommend that the author slow down the progression of action for those moments.
The story arc has continued to evolve. It has continued to keep me intrigued and looking forward to the third volume!

2 star : Didn't like it, didn't find it interesting or gripping. Seemed to drag on to me.
3 star : An average book. Wasn't bad or good. Everything else was well done. Original idea.
4 star : Like a 3 star but has potential to it as a series or the book grew on me as it progressed and certain scenes captured me. I Enjoyed it and read it in one sitting.
5 star : I LOVED IT! I stayed up late until 3 am. Author is a genius, characters, plot, idea, development, EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT. Nothing else can possibly be said except that its 5 STAR!

In this second volume, we finally meet Andy, Mia's darling little brother. I love the sibling bond between Mia and Andy and despite how emotionally close they are, there are still things they don't fully know about each other. That's very realistic. It is also a breath of fresh air how normal Andy and Matt's relationship is treated. Jealous Matt! Dear Lord! Hmm... is it normal for me to be shipping Andy/Matt more than James/Mia?? Ooops! Bravo, Alexia!

Certain scenes would benefit from more detailed editing. I feel it was a tad bit sudden with Mia realizing Aria is James's daughter and that she has fallen in love with James despite herself . Scenes were steamier but without much development in James/Mia's relationship; would of been more heartwarming to let the readers in on their emotions. There also is not much known about James's character or background.

I am still eyeing William with one eye, keeping tabs on him. Friend or Foe?? Dun. Dun. Dun.

The cliffhanger ending promises lots of action in the next volume. A different kind of action, one that is more dangerous, more adrenaline-filled and less romantic. Can't wait! Andy, Please be okay. Please, Andy.

Bit disappointed and wished for more Aria/Mia scenes and more Scott appearances. Though the Andy/Mia scenes were enough to comfort my weeping heart in the meantime. Mia/Andy is sibling goals!

I was provided to read this book for an honest review and all i want to say is thank you to the author for providing a chance to read the books.

I had read the first book on wattpad and was captivated and when I heard a second book was going out I was excited, and since I had a chance to read it before it came out I want to say the second book had captured my intrest on Mia's and James life. And I think this book shows a little more of who James truly is and he cares for her in some degree and I thoroughly enjoyed Mia's character and how braver she was in being with James and sticking with him. I also liked that we got to see alot more of Andy and who Andy truly was and want was his intentions. I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars because I felt that Andy should have been in the story more, and also I wanted to see what James thought of Mia more, overall I truly enjoyed the story and love the characters I can say in my opinion that this book has more in store after the first.

I love this book . I felt bad for Mia and Andy, esp. Andy:
Yes, and he hated his face, too. The gorgeous face everyone seemed to fall for.
Finally Mia has fallen in love. But for James' she's just his mistress and nothing more:
They had sex regularly. No strings attached. No emotional connection. Just pure, hard fucking. That was all.
But as they say 'love happens when you least expect it to'.
What the fuck were these feelings? He felt like his world was changing, both for better and for worse.
I just want for them to confess their feelings.

This book was hilarous and awesome. I loved it.The sibling love between Andy and Mia is heart warming and lovely. Mia admiting her feelings to herself was great, and hopefully she can tell james her feeling soon in the future and he’ll return them. I hope that there will be a few more Andy and Matt secenes in the future book (can’t wait for that). CANNOT WAIT as the story progresses and they’re feelings for each other as well. Hopefully Aria will make a few entries in the future and maybe a few Aria and Mia scenes together.

Well the story is getting hot and interesting. I love the way James'es confusing feeling toward Mia, and how he is trying to figure it out. But obviously James didn't want to keep Mia for 5 years, he wants her forever.
The story is simple which is great. And Mia! I love her smart mouth, makes her look fiesty but still innocent as hell. The second book is still not too clear, which is the reason why I can't wait for the next book
And Mia's brother, Oh my God, poor him. He's been through so much for protecting his sister. hope he'll find his happiness :( He's such a great brother.

Omg.....this book is just so interesting..... In every page is just adventure... Now that her brother knows that she sign a contract with James Maxwell for the 2 million dollars.... And what is that you ask, well in exchange she has to become his mistress for five years for the 2 million dollars to be paid off.... But the question I'm asking is would Mia be able to compress her feeling for James????.. Well I guess I have to wait for the next book to find that out....

After being captivated by the first book, i was so excited when Alexia offered the free pdf as being her ARC and I would have to say it didn't disappoint. The chemistry between Jame and Mia is strong through both may feel like each don't care, it still demonstrate a strong live yet discovered. Awesome read and awesome series.

And I thought the first one was great! This had even hotter scenes with blasts of reality as well as intimacy and emotion to wrap this up into the perfect read that got me hot and crying with the characters.
