This is the Gotcha Detective Agency after all, and what goes wrong makes Mimi and Charles' head spin. And not from too much wine. Jamie Lee Scott's Gotcha Detective Agency series is the best! It is multilayered with lots of twists & turns! I love how the author takes turns with Mimi & Charles narrating the story so we get both POVs. Having Mimi's mother come to work for the agency was wonderful. She is a great addition to the team. Mimi & Nick's relationship is growing & Charles is becoming way more mysterious than ever. This is an absolute must read! Also. I was so happy to read that Ms Scott has lots more stories to come in this series.
Mimi and Charles, along with the rest of the Gotcha crew and a new temp addition, set out to find out who's behind some supposedly counterfeit wines on auction. When the sommelier in question is found dead, they must uncover the truth. Great twists and turns keeping you engrossed until the very end. Can't wait until the next book! Will we get to know what it's happening with Charles and his personal life?
I've enjoyed all The Gotcha Mysteries & I know I'll read the next one in this series when it comes out. For some reason I just didn't enjoy The Who Gives a Split as much as a few others in this series. That being said, I would recommend the series to a friend. I would let them know some were better than others. Sorry, hope that helps! I would rate the entire series a 4+ stars.
I gave this book a five star rating because it was great. I have read all of her books in this series. She is very talented and writes very entertaining books. I would recommend it to anyone.
