Book gives a very nice background about various Hindu Philosophies, keeping the language very apt and concepts crisp & clear. Educates that Yoga is much more than asanas (which most of us musunderstand). This book may not be for atheists as I felt that every concept is based on believing in God. Though, it logically conveys that Dedicated Work/Duty without expecting results leads to salvation and self-realization. Also, it does not threaten the reader to believe in God. Gita (Yoga) is a dharma which can be practised by people from any religion.

what I have got is the Urdu translation of Bhagwat Gita, its quite good however I believe that it could have been much easier if certain Sanskrit words were translated in Urdu too. although the translator has tried his best to show Urdu words in brackets but still it could be improved further.

As a Muslim going thru this sacred Hindu text is an eye opener; I would recommend every Muslim to read it; this will unveil to them the striking similarities between the Krishan's instructions to Arjun and teaching of Islam in Quran and Hadith notwithstanding the differences, the core message is same: this world is a temporary thing actual life begins after we leave this place to the eternal abode this where the actual life exist so be good, do good and get good.

Bhagwat geeta is too deep for this author. Badly interpreted. Bad grammar. Bad editing. It's about a 400 page book and I could push myself through 150 pages only, that I think is because the original core, which is Bhagwat Geeta, is awesome which kept me at it... Now reading the version by Edwin Arnold... uninterpreted. I would suggest that book if you really want to read Bhagwat Geeta.

Although the book contains the epic dialogue between Shri Krishna and his devotee Arjun with evident verses from the Gita, I found the writing poor and redundant. The epiphanies and placating effect that reading Gita should bring to the mind, was missing from this book. It felt soulless and just a mixture of mundane terms strewn together.

I feel I need to re-read this again or other versions of the Bhagavad Gita to gain proper insight.

This is an interpretation of The Bhagwat Gita. There are numerous interpretations available. This one has a lot of repetition and some grammatical errors.
