Born into a unique world where villages fight to gain power and control, the main character, Shi Hao, is a genius blessed by the heavens born under the poorest of conditions. His clan, however, has a mysterious past. To rise up and become the genius he is meant to be, the clan goes through every effort to aid his cultivation as they battle through fanatical monsters and engage in power struggles with other clans. His journey will bring him through unknown lands until he is able to become a person that can truly shake the world.
Following little Shi Hao's journey from the tragedy of his supreme being's bones being snatched by his aunt to her own son in a cruel act. As a result of Shi Hao turning back into a baby, his father, mother and grandfather went berserk.
After escaping, Shi Hao was separated from his parents and lived in a stone village under the care of the village elders and the care of the tree-bodied goddess Tiyantun. Little Shi Hao's many journeys in search of power, heirlooms and friends are exciting and hilarious. And my favorite part was meeting Huo Ling'er, the beautiful and loyal daughter of the Fire Emperor, who accompanied Shi Hao on his journey from childhood.
And Shi Hao successfully avenged his brother Shi Yi who had double pupils and stole his supreme bone, defeating him without any bones but his effort and hard work.
Next chapter Shi Hao becomes the emperor...
The beginning of the episode felt ordinary but the more chapters the story became more climactic. Last read and watched chapter 380/episode 52, total watching time 15 hours 30 minutes, amazing.
The book is way too long, the writing is one of the worst I have read, long-winded with unnecessary description and repetitive dialogue, same plot plays through every few hundred chapters. The time travel part kept me hooked till the end and even that was disappointing. I probably deserve an award to complete such a terrible book.
One of the rare times the anime does better than the book with the descriptions. Borderline too much fluff in the beginning, but still tolerable. The names need to be used more…I can barely keep track who is who.
