I find it amazing that you can have this much fighting and this little story in the series. A fighting tournament just ended and now more fighting begins, complete with more revelations of Uncouth Strength.
But at least the fights are clear and well-drawn.
I'm wondering if there'll be a story at some point.

Finally after a while a good and excinting volume!!
I read it at speed max mode because I was super interested and got my attention since the very beginning. The last few volumes weren't my favorites, they were super slow with barely any plot development but in this one we make some great progress with a great amount of suspence and twists. Definitely not a filler book!

Something is very wrong with the tiny one. So many secrets and so many mysteries...and three more Deadly Sins to go. As much as I love these four, I wanna meet the rest...and figure out which one is the traitor.

Bitirdikten sonra epey doymuş hissettiğim bir cilt oldu. Bir önceki cildin sonunda Meliodas'ın kontrolsüz gücü ortaya çıkmıştı. Guila bunu gücü birinci "elden" deneyimlemişti. Meliodas'ı durdurmak için şimdi de karşısında kutsal şövalye Helbram var. Meliodas'ın ekibindekilerden bile sakladığı sırları yavaş yavaş ortaya çıkıyor. Öte yandan ekibin beşinci üyesi Gowther da bu ciltte hikayeye dahil oluyor. Yazar okuyuculara iyi bir ters köşe yapıyor bu kısımda. Birazcık fazla dövüşle geçen bir cilt olsa da hikaye güzel ilerliyor.

Overall I enjoyed it but there are, of course, some problems. The fight scenes are good as always but for the most part, it is just people hitting each other for no reason. There is no purpose or reason behind most of these fights. I loved Meliodas' new form and the revelation about him and that is pretty much it regarding the story. I cannot separate the two and I have to rate it accordingly. The tournament arc ends and now we have the new arc regarding another member of the Sins.

Volume 7 of the manga that was turned into an anime of the same name. This volume covers Episode 13 and parts of episode 14. This is the first book to deviate significantly from the anime.
But first, I was disappointed to not learn any answers to questions I had from the show and previous book. The answer to where did Giddeon go was not answered and so the logical thing to do is go back to the Viazel fighting festival and watch for its disappearance. My guess is that during one of the fights where the Boulder of Viazel is fractured you can see Giddeon falling into the same hole that Diane is herself later thrown into. They also don't answer my question about how Ban knows that Diane is going to use Mother Earth Catastrophe and therefore that they all need to run. There is some kind of energy signature that Holy Knights, including the Sins, can sense when a distance attack is on the way but this appears to have been known by Ban before she struck.
They do discuss why Ban didn't heal right away from Jericho's attacks but say that they don't know why either which is acceptable. Though it doesn't answer why when Ban is cut in half by Meliodas he doesn't get a new scar to match the one on his neck. In theory the cuts would have been very similar.
Ok now on to the significant difference between the book and the show. The story of Gowther is very different. In this version, we meet Pelio (das) much earlier than in the show. And in this version, Gowther has been hiding with Pelio's family as a servant. This does not explain how Dale gets into the armor and becomes the armored giant. But the book ends just as Gowther reveals his true identity and they are facing off against the Roars of Dawn so I expect the explanation of how Dale ended up in there will be revealed in the next volume.

Meliodas sembra un automa e sembra che Ban conosca l’odore che emana Meliodas in quella forma, è lo stesso odore che emanava il demone che distrusse l’albero della vita e uccise Eliane sua amata e sorella di King e lui non riesce a credere e si infuria successivamente la fine della battaglia durante un allenamento con King, sembra che però Meliodas si trattenga con Elizabeth, anche Helbram sembra messo alle strette ma con la forza prestatali da Hendrixon lo sconfigge e si appropria della sua spada spezzata che in realtà è un artefatto per riportare in vita il clan dei demoni, ma sul punto di dare un colpo di grazia rispunta fuori con la sua arma e alzando una masso grande come una montagna con il gideon fa scappare a gambe levate Helbram gli altri cavalieri. Un capitolo di allenamento e di ripresa per i protagonisti in cui Meliodas dice di voler concludere la guerra dei tremila anni e poi siamo catapultati in una nuova missione di ricerca peccatori. intanto i cavalieri sacri continuano a trattare male i popolani e si vede che i guerrieri che hanno bevuto il sangue demoniaco sono molto di più. il personaggio di Gother è molto strano e a renderlo strano e l’autore che invece di fare i baloon normali, li fa quadrati come il narratore della storia e prepariamoci perché questo personaggio ci darà tanti mal di testa. Personalmente credo che questi personaggi debbano ancora raccontarci tanto e il ritmo della narrazione un pò lento, comunque mi intriga ancora.

If you thought that there might be a break in the fighting after the fighting festival than you may be in for a bit of a surprise! After the conclusion of the festival there’s a brief chapter that sets up the big arc for this story. We’re introduced to more characters, both Holy Knights and other minor players that will show up again later. In fact, this volume serves as an intro to some of my more favorite characters and Holy Knights. Though one character, that I really do enjoy, has a bit of an odd introduction that doesn’t really fit with what I remember of their personality from the anime. I understand that things can be different between the two mediums, but you can tell by the end of the volume that you’re first encounter with this character seems to be a little weird and doesn’t fit their personality. There’s also some character development for some of the Sins. You get to see into some of Ban’s inner struggles, more of Meliodas that isn’t slightly perverted, Diana’s awesome strength, and some backbone building in Elizabeth. I wuld say that Elizabeth isn’t quite as strong as I’d really like her to be, but I’m fairly certain we’ll see that soon…I hope. And I was really excited to see just how powerful Diana could be, though I felt like her power was a little cheapened because of some of the resulting outcomes, but oh well! Overall, though I really liked this volume of the story and it again leaves you wanting (or needing) to read the next one. I have a feeling that the story’s pace will really pick up in the next volume!

Okaaaay, I STILL do not understand the power system/power creep in this series, and I have officially given up trying to understand it. I think my brain will thank me later for doing so.
That aside, I haven't talked about the fight scenes that much and I want to because they are well-choreographed and easy to interpret. That may sound weird, but as a long-time shounen action fan I can safely say that while fight scenes can look cool, that doesn't mean they are easy to follow. There have been times where I have reread certain pages because I could not follow the line of action through a fight scene, which obviously hinders the enjoyment of reading one. However, Seven Deadly Sins not only has pretty awesome fight scenes, they're easy to follow and understand who is doing what. I appreciate that a lot, considering 90% of the series is fight scenes! Speaking of, this volume had a lot of great fight scenes, particularly between Meliodas and Sir Helbram. Diane got to shine with her sacred treasure and it was GLORIOUS. While I can't stand the Holy Knights, it was interesting to see them take out the Sins and makes me pumped for the Sins' inevitable comeback.

This probably has some of the best "power fantasy" moments in the series. I will particularly never forget Diane's moments again Helbram, that was some really epic stuff. Once again, the art is the key driving force as it really display impact and tone very well.
The story feels more and more now like a mystery is unfolding, and that's what keeps me coming back. Who really is Meliodas? What is this Holy War? Why are the Holy Knights preparing for it? Why does Hendrickson want to revive the Demon clan? What happened 10 years ago? What happened in Danafall? There's a lot of stuff to anticipate and it's good that these characters all have a history, rather than being unestablished. How that history is unveiled and which characters know that history though is a bit contrived.

Finally I get Gowther in here. The Manga is starting to divert from Anime (and I say it like this because I watched the Anime first and now I'm getting the Manga. I do know that Manga was first). Here Meliodas really looks like a demon with no control over his power and the other sins are doubting him. The relationship between King and Ban changes to become kind. I am intrigued to know if Veronica truly died.

This continues to be a unique (in my limited experience) blend of Western heroic/epic fantasy and more traditional Manga style narratives.

Nukaba continues to deliver humor, character and--especially in this volume--plenty of action.

Le grafiche sono molto belle, curate, la storia mi sta piacendo moltissimo, Meliodas con il suo potere di demone che si risveglia in lui sembra non essere cosciente, la sua forza aumenta a dismisura. Il rapporto tra Meliodas ed Elizabeth è curioso e dolce, si preoccupano l’uno per l’altra. Elizabeth è determinata a riportare la pace e Meliodas a concludere una guerra ormai in corso da tremila anni. Misterioso il ritrovamento di Growther “Goat Sins” membro dei seven deadly sins.

It's in this volume that Meliodas shows his demonic power for the first time and it was a very good scene. The reader can feel how much he cares for Elizabeth. Besides seeing the other characters in action, we also see for the first time Gowther, Sin of Lust and I was expecting that scene to be different. I saw the anime first and the way Gowther is introduced to the story is way different, but I prefer the manga.

Un tome encore bourré d'action et de révélations même si ces dernières entrainent plus de question qu'autre chose. On en découvre un peu plus sur Méliodas ce qui fait qu'on veut encore en savoir plus. Tous les combats sont impressionnants à lire ! Et la fin du tome avec la découverte possible d'un autre sins est juste folle j'ai très envie de lire la suite de la saga et d'en savoir plus bordel !

Absolutely love the anime so figured I would give the manga a shot, and boy was I half I did. The manga is, in my opinion, far superior to the already outstanding anime. If you like the anime and story of The Seven Deadly Sins, give the manga a go, you won't be sorry.

うん、団長はカッコいい。なぜ他のキャラは彼の魔神姿が怖いの?
いや、怖いのことが分かる、バンを一発で殺したからので、うん分かるが。。。姿を不気味と思うのは理解できない、カッコいいよ。
私はへン?変じゃないと思う。女の子はいつもちょっと危なそうの男が気に入っている。
ガウサーもかっこいいいが、かれのボサボサの髪スタイルはスムーズよりいい。ボサボサに返して。
で、で、ガウサーの現れる方法アニメと全然違う！驚いた👀‼️

I was kind of expecting the big reveal at the end of the volume. So it wasn't so shocking to me. Hopefully more light will be shed on the goat's sin of lust in the next volume.

I can't believe that a whole volume was dedicated to the continuation of the Sins against the new generation and Helbram and Helbram x Meliodas in particular.
