I always loved going to the movies since I was 5 years old. I lived on a farm in a small town in Nile's, Ohio until the 3rd grade. My Dad would leave me with his best friend at the Robins' Theater, manager Chappy Ross, during the day while he was at work. See picture. Memories. Yahoo! I was all by myself. alone in a movie theater with all the popcorn and candy I could eat for free. A 5 year old's nirvana, heaven, paradise, etc. Eat your hearts out. So, I grew up lucky, loving movies with popcorn. I was fortunate enough to be able to read at 4. I'd read movie starting times and then ask Dad if I could go to the 1 o'clock matinee. I discovered the movie playing would always change on Thursdays.

As I got older, my taste went from the old Flash Gordon, Superman Saturday serials and cartoons to Steven Spielberg movies as my favorite movie maker. I love a great movie that sweeps me up into forgetting that I'm in a theater and hate bad movies so much that I leave the theater in the middle of one. Same with books. Dan Brown, A.G. Riddle, Michael Crichton, James Patterson and Brad Meltzer are all authors of mind bending books such as Mysteries and Sci Fi Thrillers, I love reading their books. I finish them because I can't put them down.

I grew up in Columbus, OH and played hockey for The Ohio State University in my freshman year.
Thirty years later, after being the star in English class in high school with a GPA low 2 (out of 4) at graduation, a group of screenwriters told me I had a gift for writing screenplays. After beating Hollywood doors knuckle blood over a phone, I decided to write novels where I could be the producer, director and writer. Now I knock my forehead knuckle bloody.

Wow! New Science Fiction Classic Thriller with twists. This book is going to be a Best Seller. I could not put it down, I was glued to every page because of the surprises and twists and turns in every chapter, which becomes an out of control runaway train in the last half of the book. It left me wanting more and made me stop and think, “what if”. CODE X Discovery makes me wonder is this what really happened, is this what evil doers out of control in the government fight so hard to hide, to keep secret? I had to keep reading to find out what happens next, and it did not disappoint me. I was surprised all the way through the end.
I love the two lead characters, Vicki and Parks, who have a great mature relationship that is real in today’s world. My favorite though is Biggins in her supporting role. If this ever gets made into a movie, the woman who plays Biggins will win an Academy Award. She is a strong woman, an ex Special Forces soldier who will go to the ends of the earth to save her best friend since childhood, Vicki. Parks, who’s engaged to Vicki, the brilliant doctor, is the hero in training to save the love of his life, who has been swept away by the shadowy government to do their bidding,
Biggins is forced by circumstances to whip him into shape. Their relationship is a lot like an older sister who tries to get through the thick head of her younger brother. The love hate between them and the witty dialogue between them kept me laughing. Those two together are a funny addition to a serious quest, for the both of them to rescue Vicki. He resists her every attempt to make him face what’s real.
Overall, it is one of the best books I have ever read in years. Code X has everything, Science Fiction based on facts now and in the future, love and romance, an action adventure with twists and turns every moment, a mystery, female lead characters who are real and a trip into the unknown. Fans of James Patterson and Michael Crichton will like the easy to understand explanations of science that doesn’t bog you down, but the author, Michael Vallone made it fun and easy to understand. Code X is for everyone and I predict a star, Michael Vallone, has been born in the author heavens. Can’t wait for more from him. Excellent book.

Vicki is a brilliant Doctor engaged to Parks. Biggins is an ex special forces officer who is like a best friend and sister to both Parks and Vicki, who makes it her goal to protect them.

Investigations throughout history have shown that the human gene pool (DNA) only produces geniuses a limited amount of times, what if we can fix that amount, and raise it? Having smarter people than ever before…

And we all know that the Government keeps secrets from us. For instance: the Aliens, Area 51, and what is really happening to our Country…

But as we all know, there are people that feel investigating the gene pool, and recreating anything that isn’t natural- is wrong. But in all reality, things like this could benefit us all.

Everywhere you go, there have to be people that complain, and have something negative to say. That is just a part of life. And these people make it difficult for the Scientists to advance.

The conspiracy theory will be tested, right from wrong, and Vicki, Parks, and Biggins will all lead you down the path to see the truth. All you have to do is follow along, and open your mind.

After you get halfway through the book, it gets so faced paced, that you just cannot put it down, and you just have to keep reading no matter what is going on around you.

You fall in love with the characters, and want them to succeed, and you want to help them make it. You can visually see everything happening, it is like: “No wait- don’t do that!” and “Hurry up!” as you’re reading you’re yelling at the book, because you are that engrossed. This book is thrill ride and a half! You will not be able to put it down, trust me on that!

This book is a true five star read. A thrill ride that enlightens your mind on conspiracy theories, and truths, and the government, and what could be. And maybe even….is. You need to read this book, and see what you’re missing!

This would make an excellent movie. It was a great read up and until near the end when the aliens got involved. Why did that happen? It didn't really add to the story and just bordered on ridiculous. I say lose the aliens and make a movie. It was fast paced, the characters were interesting and the concept solid-fans of Michael Chriton would like this (except for the aliens).

I’ve always been a diehard fan of the thriller genre and have recently found that the sci-fi genre is starting to grow on me, so I couldn’t resist going into this book with intrigue and, admittedly, high expectations. That being said, I can say that author Michael Vallone has more than met my expectations and left me very satisfied with the read.

The author blends the defining elements of each genre together near-perfectly and the end result is a read that is unique, interesting, and above all, well-written. I must also comment on the characters, especially Dr. Collins, they are put together excellently and their dialogue between each other flows in a realistic manner. I recommend this to readers looking for a new spin on the genres that is fresh and entertaining.

From the first page to the last Code X-Discovery is a complex well-written book that holds your attention. The characters in the book are complex and well developed. Michael Vallone writes a book that makes you enjoy the story but at the same time makes you think about what could be going on in our government that we don't 'have any idea what they could be doing behind closed doors. Everybody loves Parks and Vicki but I would have to say my favourite would have to be Biggins. I would have to say I love the twists in story. Another part would be that Parks goes to extremes to save Vicki.

I would have to say that I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a great read with the well-developed plot.

Great read!

I neglected all my chores this morning so I could finish this page-turner. Good plot! Strong characters. Loved Biggins. Hated Henry ( in a good way). It reads like a movie script. Think Die-Hard with a hard-ass duo as the heroes.

I gave it 4 stars only because of the grammar nazi in me. I am in no way an expert, but there were a lot of errors that made me cringe.

I received this book as a result of a giveaway on Goodreads and would like to thank the author for the opportunity to read his very entertaining book.

The twist and turns, along with surprises, make the book difficult to put down. It leads you to wonder how much is science fiction and or a real possibility. It leads to the question "how much does the government know or what does the government do". When a book is this good, I have a a very difficult time putting it down until I have read the complete book. I received this book thru a Goodreads giveaway.
