I was born to travel! My parents took me on my first trip when I was just three years old and I have been on the go ever since! I always knew I wanted to be a journalist or a travel writer. I decided to pursue a career as a travel writer because I felt I would see more of the world--and I have! I have traveled to every continent and lived all over the world, including Oahu, Hilton Head, and London.
My favorite places are the South Carolina Lowcountry, Africa (especially East and South), and London. While I love all travel, my favorite kind is adventure travel. I have enjoyed all kinds of adventures, including hot-air ballooning over the Northern Serengeti, camping in the Himalayas, scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef, hiking Peru's Inca Trail, and dog-sledding in the Arctic Circle.
I also like to read, explore historic sites, and chase ghosts. If it's historic and haunted, you got me! I have written close to thirty books. To find out more about my books, such as TERRANCE TALKS TRAVEL: A POCKET GUIDE TO ADVENTURE TRAVEL, A GHOST HUNTER'S GUIDE TO THE MOST HAUNTED PLACES IN AMERICA, THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF CHEAP TRAVEL, and SPOOKIEST BATTLEFIELDS visit www.terrancezepke.com and www.terrancetalkstravel.com.

I found this book both interesting and informative. Some of the cemeteries written about, I was already very familiar with such as Gettysburg and Bachelor's Grove in Chicago. But overall an entertaining read.
Having read Terrance Zeke's guide to haunted battlefields I was curious as to which cemeteries would fall under the most haunted so jumped on the chance to read Spookiest Cemeteries: Discover Americas Most Haunted Cemeteries. Honestly, I feel that this was probably one that was hard to pair down and could easily lead to multiple volumes as lets be honest, how many would feel that if any place would be haunted it would be a cemetery.
As usually Zepke has a writing style that is fun to read and this one runs the gambit of areas which have long histories of paranormal activity. Not only is her style fun to read but I doubly appreciated that she kicks the book off with a cemetery that is somewhat local which I've personally heard stories from throughout my youth.
A great read if you're looking to plan a trip around the paranormal and there are quite a few interesting stories behind these hauntings. I was much more of fan of this one than her haunted battlefields collection.
This book makes for a great reference for someone looking for ghost adventure sites. Ms. Zepke has used her extensive research to bring together a list of fifteen of the most haunted cemeteries in America. I couldn’t help but notice that there was a large number of them being in Illinois. That seems to be because of the Civil War casualties.
I would love to visit the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in California. Find-a-grave.com lists it with over 500 famous interments. It even has a Doomed Buggy ride for the “Dearly Departed”. I would definitely go for that. I also thought it pretty funny that one cemetery uses a hearse for their tour. And it was creepy finding out about churches being built on top of graves.
As always, Ms. Zepke’s Spookiest series gave me shivers, and left me with the anticipation of what can be found interesting, odd, and unusual around our country.
I loved reading this! Little tidbits of when the cemetery was established and who its famous inhabitants are really intrigued me. Very well researched and presented.
