A smorgasbord of sweet butts, one for every taste.
Noose has a sweet tooth that won't quit, and a clubwhore to suit his every need. Being a part of the Road Kill Motorcycle Club isn't a hard choice for Noose. A former Navy Seal and expert knotter, he's seen realtime choices—in circumstances most never do.
It's killing road. Women and freedom are the benefits of being a one percenter.
Until Rose Christo comes along and slams the brakes on his outlaw existence.
~~~Murderers~~~
Rose Christo knows death.
Murder stole her sister, and gave her a son that's not hers.
Love doesn't come in neat packages; it comes in the form of a five-year-old boy. Love is packaged in a man that tears out her heart with a brutal sexuality that strips Rose of her most sacred vow.
Never count on a man.
Never love.
Never.
When her sister's murderer comes calling, demanding his property, who does Rose trust?
Knot contains scenes of graphic violence. Might contain triggers.
~~~Torture~~~ Rose has a job. To protect her nephew, Charlie. A hot motorcycle thug isn't enough of a reason to get in the way of that.
Except the one who saves her from a torture so vile, she doesn't know who she is anymore.
Drake is determined to take Charlie from her, and he'll play dirty to do it.
Noose is justas determined to protect her from the Road Kill's number one rival MC.
Can he do it when she denies his protection?
Rose will not end up like her sister Anna.
Dead.
Rose soon discovers there are worse things than death.
~~~Circumstance~~~ Noose's life has been turned upside down.
Rose Christo is more than she seems, and involved in way more than she should be.
When a certain Chaos Rider kidnaps her as a means of coercion, Noose finds he's willing to tie a knot especially for Diablo, aka Drake.
Not to kill--to warn.
But Noose wasn't put on this blue marble to warn men who threaten his property.
Even if the woman that's his property, doesn't know it.
~~~Vengeance~~~
Drake Corbin, aka Diablo, has plans for Rose Christo that reach far beyond getting his property back.
He wants another woman to abuse.
Rose is determined to save Charlie, but when the final verdict is read, her spirit is crushed by the outcome.
After two encounters with Drake, she knows she will not survive a third.
Has Rose misplaced her trust in Noose? Is he nothing more than the callous user of women he appears to be--or is he the very thing she needs to survive her life and maybe, find love....
~~~Hope~~~
Sean King, aka Noose, doesn't need a woman--he never has.
Then Rose Christo earns something no other woman has ever managed--his trust. Noose's careful facade begins to slip, and he must admit what she means to
More than property.
More than novelty tail.
More than anyone has ever meant to him before.
The woman he loves.
Is Noose ready to sacrifice everything to tie a knot so permanent, no one will recover? Road Kill, him--Rose?
Can she stand what he will have to do to keep her safe?
This book does contain triggers, so if you are sensitive you may want to skip this read.
Noose is the first book of the Road Kill MC series and the first book of his 3 part story. This was a new to me author and I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The description clearly states that this book is a dark MC read. I'm not a huge fan of dark reads. They aren't deal breakers, but not my favorite. Going in I wasn't expecting to love it, but was kind of in the mood for something more edgy. Wow, is all I can say. First off, you should know that the subject matter is pretty deep and if you have triggers tread carefully. Given that I can honestly say that I don't feel this book is too dark. It deals with some serious subject matter and gets pretty deep, but Noose's softer, understanding side helps balance it all, I think.
Noose is a badass biker that has seen and done some brutal things - while serving our country and for the club. His philosophy is sometimes people have to die. Bad people are out there and out of necessity need to be stopped. Being a club member and all that is Noose he never wants for female company, but that doesn't mean he in anyway wants anything permanent. A sweetbutt for a couple hours is about as much of a commitment as he can muster and showing any kind of soft side is something that he would just never do. This is the reason he can't figure out why meeting the pretty little bank teller has him so tied up in knots.
Rose has lost more than any young woman should. Her sister was murdered by her biker boyfriend leaving behind a precious little boy. Now Rose is raising him as her own, but things are getting dangerous for Rose. Diablo is wanting his boy back and will stop at nothing to get Rose to testify that he would be the best person to raise his son. While escaping one such attempt to get Rose's testimony she runs into the arms of Noose.
This story is heartbreaking in so many ways. Rose's pain of losing her sister and the fear of losing her nephew was so hard to read. Throw in Noose and the intense desire that he brings out in her leaves her questioning her everything thought. This book ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, but the next two books are out so no issues and it's available in a boxed set containing all 3 parts of Noose's story.
Knot - part two of Noose and Rose's story.
Hotness Rating 3 out of 5
Knot is the second part of Noose's story in the Road Kill MC series. This second part is a bit darker than part 1 - Noose. It must be said that this book is not a standalone. If you don't read Noose first you'll be stepping into a million questions.
This second part of Noose and Rose's story gives us more of a look at how Noose got his road name and the skills he honed while in the military. Skills he now uses to protect his brothers in arms and the woman he's made his property.
Drake/Diablo makes it his mission to capture Rose and torture her into submission. When he's finally gotten her his torture is more mental than physical, but there's enough of both to make him even more disgusting than I originally thought he was and that's saying something because he is DISGUSTING.
Rose struggles with reconciling her feelings for Noose versus her fear of the motorcycle club lifestyle. This book has tons of tense, frustrating moments and tears.
Rose - the 3rd and final part of Rose and Noose's story.
Hotness Rating 3 out of 5
This final installment of Rose and Noose's story touches on so many emotions I'm still reeling. Noose claims Rose and then spends the majority of this story trying to fully win her over. She loves him but is afraid to believe in her feelings, to really trust them. Not to mention she's dealing with Diablo/Drake winning visitation with Charlie and her parents disowning her if she chooses to pursue her feelings for Noose. One big emotional mess I tell you.
As promised we get the happily ever after this couple deserves, but it was a hard road to get there.
Let's start this right. Whatever this is between us. I'm staking my claim. WOW! I LOVE this series!! I had the IMMENSE pleasure of reading these as they released, and the only reason I even thought of reading them is because of Marata! I LOVE her paranormal books that I have read so far, and even though this is WAY out of my “comfort zone”, I was hooked from the book description! And the when I started reading?! Well, I was COMPLETELY caught and STILL AM! (I am so looking forward to reading Snare when it releases soon!!) It is one BIKERTACULAR series by the ALWAYS phenomenal Marata Eros! So even if you think this may be out of your comfort zone, or preferred genre, you may just surprise yourself by how AWESOME this book truly is! Of course, with Marata’s tremendous talent and genuine gift, she is able to write the exact kind of stories that I love and that pull you in, have you mesmerized, even to the point that when something dark happens that I cannot stomach, I was able to read it. Not only read it but “thoroughly engrossed, can’t put down” kind of read it! Marata transports you into the story, so you do live the story with and as the characters, but instead of over emphasizing the bad parts or making them seem more real, Marata makes them into something more, focusing on the “not so dark” parts, something that cracks the black cloud and lets the sunshine to pour in! So if you are looking for a fantastic all-encompassing kind of read, then this is the book for you! I was utterly consumed - mind, body, heart and soul!!! Here’s what I had to say about each book:
Noose - What would it be like to be with someone who could consume me? 5 GOLD KNOTS
It's the road. The bike. And the women. Not always in that order. Then I see her, and time slows to a crawl. WHOA!! NOOOOOOOOSE! snicker Talk about being tied up in KNOTS! Even though this is not the usual book I would read - I mean come on! There is not a vampire or shifter to be had!! - I did read it and I LOVED IT!! I first read the sample of the story that is available through the "look inside" feature and was caught in its NOOSE immediately!! It is a gritty story complete with bikers, one percenters & everything that goes with them. Then there is Rose. Ah, Rose. Whether she realizes it or KNOT, whether HE realizes or KNOT, Noose definitely has a thorn in his cut for (& from) Rose! I was so enthralled with this story, eagerly & impatiently wanting to keep reading, to find out what happens after that "sample" left me hanging! I felt consumed, not knowing where I ended or the book started! Completely hypnotised by the Bad Boy Biker and the - his - delicate flower... With it being told in first person, it not only enriches the stories, but it gives the story this depth too, ensuring that I am roped in & and held in its noose way past the end of the series! To be honest, I haven’t read too many biker books, so I am not very familiar with the lifestyle and everything else that goes with them, so this was definitely a book out of my “paranormal comfort zone”! However, I found that I LOVED being outside of said comfort zone! But that can all be attributed to Marata! I love Marata/Tamara's writing style, with the darker tones, they are most often raw, edgy, gritty and naughty in all the right ways, so much so that I am instantly held rapt in her spell. However it is not all tough biker stuff, there is humor, hot & naughty moments, cheerful & heartwarming moments, and so much more. My two favorite lines, or at least the 2 I can share! “He's such a large guy, so strong that everything else is just icing on top of the man cake.” “I bite his neck like a vampire on crack.” HA! Love it! Marata/Tamara has this phenomenal talent, but when you add in her genuine gift & magical way of crafting stories that I KNOT only WANT to read, but ones that I HAVE to read, no, that I NEED to read, well, let's just say I am wholly & completely consumed mind, body, spirit & soul every. single. time! All in all - if you are looking to be ensnared, or want a story that you can become one with instantly both in & by your next read, then NOOSE, is THE One for you! Don't forget that you get bonuses with this one – Marata has also included TWO of her others books in with Noose as well!!! So get your copy NOW! You will NEVER be disappointed with ANYTHING that has Marata Eros or Tamara Rose Blodgett on it! NEVER!
Knot by – You're mine, Rose. 5 GOLD KNOTS
You were mine before I met you. You're mine now. You just don't know it. Some kind of compromise of Rose Christo has begun. WHOA! I cannot believe just how ensnared I am by this story! This story is tense, intense but it had me gripped, held tight in its Knot, like a Rose in a Noose! There are so many lines, quips, thoughts, etc. that I want to share, but I can't!! Ignoring those nasty little spoilers, the reason I want to share them is the very same reason I can't! The lines are so powerful, so poignant, and just begging to be shared… except I can’t share them because of the language! J Aren’t you just itching to read this now? wink When I read a great book & live the story with and/or as the characters, there's not much more I can ask for! With this one I AM Rose! All her innocence, her naive views of bikers, her views on them, well a lot of that is me too! Not in a bad way, of course! I just mean that I'm as innocent & naive as Rose when it comes to the whole "biker thing". It makes this story that much more compelling to me, pulls me so deep I feel like I am channeling every emotion of Rose's, feeling it, living it, everything!!! I'll be the first to say that this is NOT my kind of book. I don't like the horror part of it, even the thought of attempted rape, etc. HOWEVER, even with all that there is NO WAY I was going to pass this up! I read the "look inside" feature for Noose and I was caught in its loop! Because this is a Marata Eros book, I knew it would be raw, gritty and oh so BIKERTASTIC! And WOW! I WAS SOOO RIGHT! However, what I did NOT expect to happen was the way this story captured me, caught me and didn't - wouldn't - let go! I am completely consumed to the very depths of my soul with this story/series and I CANNOT wait to see how it will end!! Marata Eros is one phenomenal author who has this genuine gift for creating stories that I want to, NEED to read!!
Rose by - Where destiny takes, it gives back. 10 GOLD KNOTS
What do you get when you take a hard-core ex-Seal biker named Noose who is the epitome of a one percenter, hell he IS THE One Percenter, who after one glance is so taken by the hot banker girl named Rose - who is definitely in the 99% side of things – well you get this NOOSETACULAR story that held me from the cover of the first part until well after I had finished reading this last part!!! I had myself in knots trying to figure out which direction to go in for this review. Do I focus on the happy side? Do I emphasize the raw, gritty, harsh sides... again? Or should I - CAN I - do a combination of the two? Yes the same tense, intense, no holds barred aspect is still there, but it seems different. Maybe because I know that there is a HEA at the end of this Rainbow Rose. Maybe because the story becomes that much more amped up, more deeper and with feelings actually being a part of this. Maybe because I have gotten used to the language, the biker way of life. Or maybe it's because just like Rose, I have realized that there is so much more to live for, to gain by it all, and because I too, was also snugly roped in by Noose! I was wound so tight throughout this whole story, but this last part… it pulled feelings out of me that I didn’t even know I had! I lost count just how many times I cried, not just cried, but gut-wrenchingly bawled! Of course, there was a helluva lot more going on than just tears – happy & sad, I might add - but I can’t go into those without spoilers slipping the noose, you know what I mean? wink I think the very fact that I wanted to, couldn't wait, to read this series, a book so outside of my favored/preferred genre & comfort zone, speaks volumes about Marata!! She is so phenomenally talented with an obvious gift to create these ROSETASTIC stories that suck me in so deep, that touch me soul deep, that have me living the story with the characters and leave me wanting for nothing! Well except for a vampire or two. wink
If you want a writer that knows how to put you smack dab in the middle of the action, or a story that is raw, edgy and graphically painted, then this is the book and the author for you. There is no shortage of hot spice and graphic sex, so if that's not your thing, leave this book on the road where you found it. For the rest of you out there, step up to the trough and dig in, you'll be eating it up with relish! Well written, cleanly edited and great character development. This could have been one book with three parts because each part is a continuation from the part before it.
Initially, I purchased this via audiobook. The narrator was horrible. You could tell that she was reading and it drove me nuts. So, I switched over to my kindle and my experience was SO much better. The heroine I just couldn't relate to. Other than my issue with the heroine, this feels like a good kickoff to the series.
I was in serious need of an MC book to read. I've taken a few days only reading sweet books but the need to get a wild story was super high. As you know, I freaking love MC books and I've read my fair share of them. All stellar books, and I really enjoyed reading them. Then, this new series appeared and I knew that I was taking a huge leap because it was a new duo. Duo as in new author and new series. But I took the risk and Dayum. Marata Eros is, like I said, a new author to me and I'll be following her. Her writing is appealing and intense. Noose is the first book from the Road Kill MC series and explores the lives of Noose and Rose. Noose is one of the brothers of the Road Kill MC. He's an ex Navy Seal and after leaving the Navy he joined the club. He's a one night stand kind of guy but one look at Rose and... Rose is well familiar with death. Murder to be exact. After her sister's being murdered, she was left with her nephew to raise as her own. She thought that they were safe until... Oh boy... I really needed this... I really did. Great plot, well written, super engaging and intense. Each chapter was even more addictive than the latest and I couldn't stop reading it. Things were happening in a way that I saw myself reading good non stop. I simply couldn't stop reading. There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone silly, but then there were others that I wanted to hold them and promise better days. Guys, the dark cloud that surrounded this book was so thick... So thick. This book gives us betrayal, crime, madness, abuse, punishment as well as love, desire, family bonds and loyalty. It was perfect and I wanted more. Now I'm eager to know every member of this MC. Great book Marata. Loved it.
There are 3 books in 1 but they're short and needlessly split up. I found a good deal because the box set was free, otherwise, individually, and priced, it's a complete rip off. Anyway, it's Noose and Rose's story. She's a bank teller with guardianship of her murdered sister's young son and he's from Road Kill MC. A member of a rival club is the killer and wants his son back. It's almost insta-love after he deposits money at her bank and within days they're bumping hips. All he thinks about is sex even just after she's nearly gang raped. That's the main happenings of the books actually, besides violence and bad language. All in all, I could've shook her and thumped him. An ok read if you like macho neanderthals with a limited vocabulary and brainless, spineless women to boot. 2.5*.
1. Noose Ok so far, a little rushed. I did not like them calling women sweet butts. I mean really sweet butts....why? It was just extremely annoying and every time it happens I just stop and go really?
2. Knot So I'm done with this book. You have Noose acting like Rose is it for him yet when she needs him the most he turns around and let some bimbo blow him. I haven't liked Noose from the start and I really don't like him now.
3. Rose I woke up this morning and decided to finish this book just to see if it got better. It didn't really. The story wasnt great. She stays with him after him cheating and he continues to remain an asshole. I wish I had stopped but my brain keep telling me I had to find out what else happened before I can move on to the next book.
Warnings by Author should be clear ! Spoiler Alert for the faint of Heart...
This could have been such a great story but I don't like it when authors don't know how to give proper warnings. There was absolutely rape in this story and even though fingers were only used, that is still rape. And the scene itself was awful because they were preparing a gang bang sitch! Also there was cheating. Many people will not consider it cheating, if the couple was not technically together yet! But they had an understanding! And for goodness sake, Noose just rescued Rose, a woman he already wants as his property, from the very scene I was describing and because she was not ready to make a commitment out of obvious trauma, because he had a HARD ON, he went into the next room and literally got a bj from one of the club whores?z??. Not cool. To make matters worse, the female main character Rose was really not very smart ; SHE ALWAYS puts herself in dangerous and unprotected situations that she really should have seen coming. Finally, the author pulls a complete and unexpected turn of events at the end of the story which to me made absolutely no sense. It's like she wanted to include this character and she pulls him back into the picture so he would have completed some sort of a role. I was just not impressed and very frustrated with how both characters could not express their feelings properly until 90% of the novel practically. I'll try one last book by thus author but she also needs to get new cover art because all of the main characters look the same!!!. Honestly they look like they're from the Aryan Nation. Good looking men but just the same man practically; all clear, bright blue and crystal eyes? 😐
The writing is unprofessional, even for an amateur it's terrible. It's also a complete waste of a reader's time because we are made to read scenes in the heroine's pov in one chapter and then made to re-read it all again in the next chapter in the hero's pov. Total waste of time!
The so called author does not have a grasp on basic grammar, which is so poor that sentences don't make sense. Punctuation marks are randomly and wrongly placed. The writing is just a list of 'I grab my jeans, I pull them on, I grab my smokes, I flick my wrist to take one from the box, I grab my lighter, I light the tip, I take a drag, I blow out the smoke...'. Awful!
A biker thinking about his hair, and describing it in detail, and 'how he ties his hair back, it's short at the sides, but it's long in back, and he ties it back, and he ties his beard, he has an invisible band to tie his beard, which he keeps long and square and it has a touch of ginger in it...' Argh! It's really awful stuff and yet further example of the extensive and unessceary detail.
Even the heroine's thoughts are given in the same in painfully minute detail, like when she thinks about jogging, 'I run a few nine-minute miles but on these days I only do six miles but on these days I go all our and I do ten, but on these days I only do three miles. Then on Sunday I don't do any'.
It's not just boring, it's mind numbing, excessively detailed ramblings about nothing! Even her unwrappimg and eating a candy sweet takes up hardly a page. Really bad stuff. Stopped reading before the sample chapters even ended because I just couldn't keep reading the awful, mind numbing, mindless writing of nothing.
I loved this series. I read this series singularly first years ago and decided to read it again. Book #1 Noose left me kinda of pi**ed off. It just ends. No lead to the next book. Then in Book Knot it definitely picks up. It's exciting, suspenseful, heartbreaking and heartwarming not to mention smokin hot. Noose is dirty talkin bad boy alpha who has his sights set on Rose but she has her defenses up against all bikers. Her main concern is to protect Charlie at all costs. Drake /Diablo is a dirty stinkin lowlife scumbag and if satan had a brother he'd be it. Unfortunately he has his sights set on Rose too. Rose begins to start to feel something for Noose and he becomes her savior. In book #3 Rose things get really exciting. Noose and Rose's feelings for each other go so much they get really close and they're SAF. Noose rocks her world. When Rose gets taken my heart was just pounding but I was also cussing her for doing everything Drake told her to. She should have m st refused I mean he couldn't hit her because of the upcoming court hearing. When things get revealed I was totally surprised. I loved the way things turned out for Noose and Rose I just wish the book would have been alittle longer. I highly recommend this series to everyone.
Couldn't help rolling my eyes and sighed in disbelief at the stupid decisions the author came up with for Rose. She pulled out the stops and got herself prepped - took a thorough shower to clean herself, shaved, dressed up (or dressed down for that matter), put on tonnes of make-up - for Drake, the guy who killed her sister, then pushed away the one guy she liked and had tonnes of chemistry with. Didnt make sense to me. Its not like she was forced at gunpoint to doll up. Dumb Rose. Then she came along on a court-ordered visitation...ok fine so she was trying to ensure nothing untoward happened to Charlie, her nephew....but to go into a house together with Drake, knowing exactly who he was and what he was capable of, not so wise. Dumber Rose. There was no decision that she made that I felt was wise. None. Nada. Zilch. My only hope is that there is no female that made the decisions she made in this book.
Ok, so I actually read this a couple years ago but couldn’t really remember a lot about it, but wanted to read a book further in the series so figured I’d start at the beginning. I remember now why I didn’t remember much about the book except he uses ropes and knots as weapons. This I thought was super unique. The characters, not so much. I’m not a fan of cheating in a book, and while maybe noose and rose were not together when he gets crystal to give him a bj, it absolutely bothered me that he left rose horny and just found some girl to get him off. But maybe what bothered me even more was Rose. I’m a fan of a strong female, but to me she was dumb and while I give her props for caring for her nephew, she made a lot of stupid choices. Over and over again. As for Noose, I guess he kind of redeems himself in the sense that he does protect Rose from her dumb choices. Not enough though. Hoping the other books get better.
The darkness on this book is perfectly MC romance. What I love the most about Diablo's evilness was because he is smart enough to use psychological r@p3 before the actual action. And I have to say, from the author detail description, it was more abusive than the deed it self for it makes the victim believe they wanted the deed to happened. Very strong point for the author.
The chistry between Noose and Rose was fast First sight and it was 🔥 for both of them. First touch it was more than lust for both of them. Although Noose some stupid bj with club sweetbutt, he redeemed with all his worth. Love that. The MFC, if only she would stop crying and trembling and fight back once awhile...i might have love her. But what she's done all the way to the end specially how she stand up to Noose for her self and Charlie? Enough for me to like and respect her.
Rose had a sister who was murdered by Diablo, the leader of a motorcycle gang. Then he got off scot-free. Rose now has her sister's five-year-old son and the father is Diablo. Noose is an ex-SEAL and a member of the Road Kill MC Club. His specialty is knots and he knows just how to use them to take out a man. Rose is due back in court to get custody again of young Charlie. Diablo was in jail on a charge of murder last time it came to court so custody was given to Rose. Dialblo decides he wants his son and will do anything to get him - including raping Rose. Noose is a one-night stand kind of guy and says he will never settle down with anyone. Except that once he sees Rose all bets are off. He wants her and only her. And he is determined to get her. But before the final happy ending there is a lot to get through first. Great boxed set and looking forward to reading more of this series.
I get the appeal. MC's are modern vikings and always have been. But I know crime and criminals and it ain't pretty. That being said this is a well written book. I'm taking points off for the twist because it wasn't needed. The SA brought up points that need to be said. Guys bring up orgasm and other things as an excuse saying a female wanted it. They don't equate those things to a prostate response. A physical response doesn't mean anything without consent. Overall, the book is another standard for the genre. The missteps are the climax, the "misunderstanding", and the physical timing. The plot is decent, characters are well-built, the pacing is fantastic, world building subpar and writing is excellent with a few errors needing to be fixed.
I have a lot of issues with this book. First issue being there are no trigger warnings, and the author should have been up front from the begging that there are A LOT of triggers. I even double checked the beginning to make sure I didn’t miss a list of triggers, and confirmed that the author didn’t list any.
I stopped at 48% because the MMC tells the FMC how he feels right after rescuing her from a really traumatic event, and she understandable says she needs a moment. So he gets mad, storms off, and immediately cheats on her. Within the same paragraph. Then gets mad that she left (her not knowing what he just did), and goes to get her. Such a mess. And yes I consider this cheating because he tells her that she’s his even if she doesn’t realize it yet. But then you go and get with a club girl? Absolutely not.
As far as the story goes - it was enjoyable, good writing, got all the elements (plot, twist..ect.). This is my first time reading anything from this author and I'm pleasently surprised.
But (!) I do hate it, when authors split a book into parts that are only 80-100 pages long. No. If you're going to split it up, each book should have at least 200 pages, anything less is just taking money from the readers. Thankfully, I've got this from Amazon for free, but still, I don't like that kind of doing. To me, this book set should be just book on it own, with parts in it.
My final rating is 3.5 stars. I liked the characters and would like to see what awaits the other members of the MC. I just hope that their individual stories are longer.
I actually read the entire Road Kill Series 1-6 books, a bundle on Kindle, in two freaking days. (Talk about your lack of sleep.) This was my first time reading Marata Eros and I thought her characters and their individual stories excellent. All are linked yet separate, each tale engrossing and page-turning. Listen up... These alpha boys are crude, rude, and smokin' hot! Holy crap, their raunchy, dirty dialogue...! The heroines are pretty dang kick-ass too. The excessive graphic violence throughout did turn me off. Some of the descriptions made me so squeamish I had to flip past. But... I'm sort of a wimp that way. Nonetheless, Road Kill was a splurge treat to start the New Year off with a 'bang!'
The intensity of the book was perfectly balanced with a cute and light HEA. Kinda dig that.
Definitely pay attention to your TW - mindful read this one - and it was written beautifully. The tension, the drama, never felt over the top (until the HEA), which was perfect.
I'm definitely a fan of the split POVs. Great story telling that followed the heartbeat of the story and not a formula.
Moderate-to-Bold Spice: Noose is a legend, and Rose is a noob but it played very well, and you could believe in the story.
I read the first book a long time ago and it ended so abruptly I was ticked off...so now this box set was released and I was able to read the rest of the story (broken up into 3 books for whatever reason). It was ok...nothing very different from many biker books I have read...but a lot grittier with cruelty towards women and a lot of violence between rival clubs. I recommend reading if you need a time filler and like short, rough MC books...it is free right now so a good time to grab it.
**** 3.5 **** "a sweet banker meets tough guy with a tender heart" stars
The characters in this story started off good but then you didn't build on them or the story line you just seemed to throw sex in every few min. I was very disappointed, and I had to force myself to read the whole thing so I could give a review. The basic story was a good one if you would have built it and you could have done so much with the main characters you made Noose an asshole instead of making him a real person very disappointing. You could have elaborated on so much but just seemed like you added sex in everywhere t fill up the story . I would never recommend this book to anyone!
This is one of those books I want to love but just end up liking because it felt rushed by the author. The story was so rapid with disconnected parts that you could just breeze through it in an hour or less. The characters had dept, but the storyline didn't. You could feel the MCs and want to fall in love with them, but then the author rambles at top speed without providing the build-up that let's you enjoy the finale. She just presents a scenario and then puts the answers. I did like the book however as it had so much potential to be a great read.
If you want a writer that knows how to put you smack dab in the middle of the action, or a story that is raw, edgy and graphically painted, then this is the book and the author for you. There is no shortage of hot spice and graphic sex, so if that's not your thing, leave this book on the road where you found it. For the rest of you out there, step up to the trough and dig in, you'll be eating it up with relish! Well written, cleanly edited and great character development. This could have been one book with three parts because each part is a continuation from the part before it
Great potential to be a fantastic set of novellas but female lead was such a disappointment. Had moments of ‘yes I’m getting it together and will show some smarts’ that then went down the toilet. Author did not do herself any favours allowing female lead to be in the hands of her sisters murderer three times allowing him to violate her. Know that this author is good but so disappointed in this storyline.
The only good thing that I can say about this book, is that it has potential. The writing is poor, the POV changes aren't handled well, the characters and their actions aren't realistic. I've read MC romance books before that haven't been written by best selling authors, in fact, the authors have been buried under the radar, and their books have been 100 times better and more believable than this. I'm glad this book was free.
DNF this one... part 1 was interesting and had potential, part 2 was cring worthy and had me scanning through many of the pages. Didn't bother to read the 3rd part 🤷🏼♀️
Character building just wasn't there and it was hard to figure out exactly what they were thinking or feeling. Many things were repeated, the change between POVs didn't flow very well. The book had good potential, but the writing was to rushed and all over the place.
This book was so good it was hard to put it down. The story line is full of action and love. A serious Navy Seals turned into a motorcycle gang member falls for the girls that is so unlike what he has ever known. When he didn't think he could fall in love...he did with a woman not looking for love. His love and protection toward her is very enduring for this big tough motorcycle gang member.
This was a great book but it has a lot of trigger warnings like rape, physical abuse, kidnapping so just be aware. I’m fine with all of it. Well if I’m reading it. But this biker that killed this girls sister kidnaps her and gang rapes her. The other biker from another mc that likes her gets mad and saves her she’s not even his property as biker lingo says. But the other biker that kidnapped her has a son with her sister and is trying to get him well it all works out for her in the end
