Elizabeth Seymour is caught in the centre of a consuming love triangle with two men who cherish, control and adore in two vastly different ways. Michael Hamilton has a broken childhood, has been exposed to horrors no child should ever see. Antonio Bellini lost everything he held dear. Elizabeth has healed so much of their pasts, but a soul deep need has awakened in her and it is threatening to tear their sacred union apart. There are three questions Elizabeth must ask herself before she decides to break her own heart: Can she leave? Can she hide? Can she stay away?
As with the first part of this story, I was asked by the author to read this part, with is an honor!
Elizabeth is now making her plans to leave the life she knows. Seven days, she says. It is causing her such anxiety and heartache. The migraines that are set off from the anxiety don't help either.
Michael and Antonio know something is going on with her, even as much as she denies it. Once, when she totally falls apart in front of them, she blames it on a suicide of a client. Another friend is helping her in her plans but Elizabeth is only using part of the friends help as she knows the friend will cave in to Michael and Antonio's questions or even threats, as Beth has promised her love to them and to never leave them.
Her love will never leave them but she feels she must to get what she feels she can't live without in her life. There is a tease in the story, something that she reads after she has supposedly left. I was not sure how to take this. I actually wasn't sure if it was a tease or it wasn't really supposed to be there, it felt kind of misplaced.
I feel she certainly is a brave woman because she is taking a chance on her near perfection of a life for something that may not happen and then she has a double loss. I don't know if I could give up everyone and everything I know.
If she actually leaves, how will she survive the heartbreak to come? I know Michael and Antonio will look for her but I worry for them too!
Like the first part of this, I would have given it a 5 if it was complete. I do find myself involved with these characters and want only the best for the situation. What is the best? Only they and A.M Helen can say......
I have read this author before and really liked her writing. She, in fact, asked me to review this book and the next part and I am honored to do so.
Elizabeth is a smart woman, a psychotherapist. She has a relationship that is a bit different, she loves 2 men and they love her. Michael is the dominant lover, he needs to control every aspect, but is not a cold man. Antonio just wants to make her happy, anything for her happiness. What more could a girl want?
Both men come from a childhood filled with some sort of violence. They have both risen above it and are VERY financially successful.
There is one thing they won't give her and it is the reason she may have to leave. She may have to leave them and the only real friend she has, never to contact any of them again.
I would have given this a 5 if it was a complete story. Cliffhangers are just not a choice I would normally make unless it is all published and I don't have to wait! The story is so intense and full of feeling. You can see the heart of all the characters, their relationship with Beth is plain to see.
I won't tell you why she may have to leave but know that it is so important to her that she would take the chance.
I would definitely recommend this series if you don't mind a series. The writing is great, the characters are intense and you can feel them through A.M. Helen's writing.
