All alone in the world, Jordyn Montgomery is desperately trying to find something about her lineage. With her life in flux, she packs everything up and heads for a new city labeled on a postcard in a mysterious package that she discovered after her mother’s death. Maybe she'd have more luck there, even if it was only a hunch.
Drew Palmer has always been close to his sister. When she moved away, he’d thought he could handle it, only he couldn’t. It didn’t take much to convince his father—the only other immediate family he had remaining—to pack up and move close to her.
Drew isn’t looking for love, or a relationship, just a good time. He’s young still, almost thirty. Plenty of time for that down the road. Except sometimes when you aren’t looking, that’s when love slams into you full force.
Lots going on in this one, from a cult to secret families and many, many more babies. It becomes a little complex, but there's somewhat of a love story underneath. Drew is a good guy and Jordyn is an interesting character.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. The synopsis led me to think something different. I enjoyed this book, finished in less than 24 hrs. Sometimes I thought the story felt like it was dragging, but realized it was due to all the people included in the story, and parts told as the characters remembered the story happening. This is book 5, the first book I have read by this author. It would have been more enjoyable if I had read the previous books by this author. Drew showed insecurity when it came to the relationship, which was surprising when he seemed to be a take charge kind of man Although she was independent when it came to work, it was understandable Jordyn was insecure about personal relationships. I want to read the rest of the books in the series.
I really love this series. The characters are all searching for something, running from something, hiding from something or someone, or just trying to get through the day. Just like it is in real life.
Jordyn's mother died leaving Jordyn all alone. No family, no close friends, and no reason to stay where she was. Jordyn never knew her father and her mother never spoke of him. She did impress upon Jordyn that you never replied on anyone but yourself.
With no ties to bind her to Florida, Jordyn packed up and moved to upstate New York, because when she was packing up her mom's stuff she found some hints about her father and wanted to meet him.
Drew is the electrical contractor who comes for rewire Jordyn's new old house. For the first time, Jordyn has made a friend.
All My Love is their story. It's the story of two people discovering where they are, who they are, and where they are headed. It's a feel good story, as are all the books in this series, but there is nothing bad in feeling good. These are characters you are routing for.
The storyline and characters are well developed. My biggest problem was the gaps. At one point Jordyn and Drew were at a restaurant eating Thanksgiving dinner and the next paragraph it was after Christmas. There were some serious gaps that, if filled in, could have made the story so much better. The other downside was the repetition of Jordyn's self doubts and her moaning about having no one when Drew and his extended family were going out of their way to make her feel included. First book I've read in the series, and I don't think I'll bother reading more.
This was my second time reading the book and I had forgotten the mystery and loved that again.
I was so thrilled to see that Drew was in the series and getting his own book. I was drawn to him when we were introduced in the earlier book with his sister. I absolutely loved that he was there for Jordyn when she was trying to discover more about her history and the postcard connecting her to her past potentially and finding her father. I loved getting to see Ben and the others from earlier in the series. Great book!
This was a good book to read. I liked the characters. I liked the awkwardness between the characters. I liked it when: He took her by the shoulders and turned her to face him. “Every day I love you more and more. I need you more and more.” I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
I just love this series & can't seem to get enough. I will be a little disappointed when this series ends. I really enjoy Natalie's books. She does a wonderful job with the main & supporting characters. Drew' story was a great addition to a wonderful series.
Drew is to die for and Jordyn was so awkward it was endearing. They make such a sweet couple and was so thrilled to see more from the past characters too.
Nice comfortable, cheesy story. The only thing is the Harpers are super trusting and somebody needs to slap Drew and Jordyn. They mostly came around though I suppose. Good luck!!
