What happens when alien shifters land in the Green Leaf pack's territory?
After losing everything—his family, his career, his entire planet—Zax finds himself in the tiny town of Roston on the planet Earth. But when he meets Omega wolf Isaac, Zax feels the spark of something that could be called hope. As Isaac shows him what Earth is like, he realizes he just might be able to carve out a new life here. But he didn't count on finding a potential mate as well.
"I’m glad I met you, Isaac."
Isaac never thought he'd be one of the first people to meet aliens. He definitely didn't think they could be so sexy, either. And he never imagined that the kind, mysterious Alpha could be his fated mate and the key to making him a stronger, better person. When Isaac gets pregnant and an enemy ship appears on the horizon, the pair find that they have to help each other protect their new family and their pack.
Will this Alpha find he has something to fight for again, and will this Omega discover inner strength he never knew he had? Find out in Interstellar Alpha. This standalone novella has a HEA. No cheating, no cliffhangers.
Isaac needed to give himself to someone on this level, and he’d never had a chance to explore how exhilarating it could be before he met Zax.
The story wasn't bad, I liked the whole alien shifter on the run deal. What I wanted was more suspense. The bad guys shows up, the bad guy dies. I think I would have liked more of an actual fight. And the way that Issac is treated at work, WTF? If he is working he should be getting paid. Why is the human treating him like shit? I don't know I just needed more. Love the 1 mth pregnancy, that would be awesome :D
This was a good idea that really needs more work. The plot holes are huge, the writing ok at best. I see promise here and that's the only reason I kept with it. I would encourage the author to take another look at this book and consider re-releasing it after some additional work. This could be a really good story, but either the editing ruined it or the author failed to set up the world/characters sufficiently. I will be reading the rest of the series because I am hopeful that I will see growth in the writing.
I finally read this book after downloading many samples and purchasing some reduced price books by this author. After reading a couple mpreg stories that were badly written, this was a pleasant surprise. Author Kellan Larkin had thought out his story before executing it, instead of just submitting an unedited manuscript for publication.
This was an interesting story, featuring a couple of Alpha's from another planet, Pliaria XII landing on Earth to briefly rest before continuing to flee beings from their home planet intent on "culling" anyone they deem a potential trouble maker for not following the destructive ways of the new regime. For putting lives of family and saving their planet's limited resources first. Barely escaping "General" Zax and his navigator Fian managed to commandeer a small space ship to get off their home planet, but fear they will be pursued by the ruthless despots of Pliaria XII.
An Alien shifter breed, the two men find they have landed within the territory of the Green Leaf Wolves pack. How will their two species, both Wolves, but one from out of space react to one another? One wrong word or gesture could lead to a fight that the Alien Wolves though larger might just lose due to their exhaustion and need to refuel by eating fresh meats? If their was any questions about their Alien status? Their Wolves bluish purple colouring is a dead giveaway that these shifters are not of this world.
Luckily one of the pack's Omegas, Isaac is there to calm the situation down. He is surprised by his attraction to the beautiful bodied, power exuding, Alien Alpha. Unfortunately as a pack guard he never had a chance to find a mate within the pack and he had no desire to leave the Green Leaf territory to find a mate. Whatever it was that held him back (Fate) now gave him an able bodied handsome Alien Wolf shifter that seems to be the perfect Alpha to his Omega.
The sexual tension is palpable. Now all Isaac has to do and hope for is that the rest of the pack could be willing to offer them sanctuary. Their pack Alpha leader Daniel has the final say. And his decision will be based on what's best for the pack and what they want. The unease of lurking danger remain with the two shifters. They are honest with the pack and don't plan to form any close friendships, because of the need to leave soon with their enemies still possibly tracking them them - despite the ability to check the presence of their spacecraft.
Despite all these precautions, the intensity of their strong mutual attraction when they first met leads to a brief fling between the Omega, Isaac and the Alien, Zax. Everything is fine as they share their histories, run together as Wolves, and let their passion override their common sense. Practicalities and good judgment are thrown out the window.
When Isaac begins to feel under the weather, he reluctantly goes to the pack doctors since Humans are unaware of the existence of shifters, so he can't go to a Human doctor or hospital. The news he gets is shocking and so unexpected he initially questions the doctor's diagnosis until he sees reputable proof that he is with child. With his shock come many questions: whey didn't they use protection? Did this mean they were true mates? How would their child turn out? Would the mixing of species cause problems for the child? Was Zax even going to stick around? Would Zax's pursuers kill him and the rest of the pack? How would the Green Leaf Wolf pack react? What should he do next? Was he ready to be a father? Could he count on his mother and sister to help?
This was a very interesting and entertaining book. The first in the Star Crossed Shifters series. I imagine the next book will be about Zax's navigator, Nian. I am very much looking forward to reading it. If you enjoy well written mpreg stories - this is decidedly one. What makes it stands out is that Zax and Isaac are from two different worlds and they don't always understand each other's customs. How they handle these situations are amusing. And there is danger in the skies!

This was such an awesome new take on shapeshifters.
I truly enjoyed every page of this book. It was such fun! I really hope there is a spin off or sequel to it for Zax's friend. It was exciting and captivating that I read it all the way through in one sitting. I really can't suggest this book enough. It was so cool to see this new spin of shifters.

3.5 stars
Zax and companion, Fian, are on the run and when it's suggested they go to earth and actually arrive there they're in a bit of disbelief at it's lushness. Unknown to Zax and his crewmember is that they've trespassed on another pack's land.
Issac and a couple of pack members are patrolling the pack land when they encounter the intruders on their land on. They engage them and tell them they have to go. When the strangers ask to stay for the night the situation escalates. The strangers who claim to be from another planet transform when Issac's pack get aggressive. As an omega, Issac has built up some respect in his pack and calls on the attention of his alpha to listen. He manages to get his alpha to listen and in doing so is able to stop a fight from breaking out.
This was a entertaining read. There were a few sentences in the story that I thought where very romantic. The story itself was well paced and was intriguing.
Certain facts like the gestation time between the aliens and earth wolves were especially intriguing to me. I really liked this small detail and thought it was unique in differentiating the wolves and fed into the whole idea of why Zax enemies were after them. When it came to Issac's pack member showing support to Zex and Fian, I thought it was pretty shitty of them to waiver on helping them. Zax and Fian were awesome shifters and they didn't have to share any of their technology.
I thought it was exciting how Issac modified the phaser. There was nice action and that Issac wasn't like every other omega. The birthing was interesting too, there was a detailed description of the birthing which you don't much see in alpha omega mpreg shifter stories.

Wow. I actually felt this book "more" then I had my previous reads by this author. I love a good paranormal book but I have a large sentiment for aliens and their struggle to accommodate to Earth's life. Isaac is the Omega of the Green Leaf wolf pack. He's considered the weak one. It is a custom that the only mate for him is an Alpha but he's yet to find one. Zax is a general who had to, along with his navigator, fled from his planet destroyed by the Conquest. He finds Earth intriguing. What is more surprising he finds his mate there. Isaac and Zax were a great couple. Loved them.
Two alien shifters on the run for their lives, one omega who wants to help but unsure how to get the alpha to help, and a spy who is bent on bringing back to their planet. Issac wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary while out scouting the forest. But when and alien ship lands in their territory The Green Leaf pack. He is unsure what to make of it till he sees him... Zax and his friend Fian are on the run for the their lives from their home planet Pliaria. Which was at war until the other side won and starting culling out the losers and the unwanted people of the planet. With no loved ones left, they ran for their lives. Now if only this planet called earth can be a place of refuge for them. Will the locals welcome them?
Zax and Fian are fleeing a civil war on their planet and make a desperate jump into Earth's atmosphere to escape their enemies. Landing on Pack lands gives them allies they hadn't counted on. Isaac, as the Omega of the shifter pack, talks the Alpha into welcoming the aliens, who are also shifters. Then the unexpected happens and Zax and Isaac become mates. This is the story of how the aliens integrate into their new home and become part of a family again. This was an enjoyable read with just enough scifi to give it a twist.
I love how strong Issac is for a omega. He's got a kind heart, very caring, and know a hero. The is to be caring sweet shifter story I ever read. You felt like one of the pack. Excellent story, and we'll written character. I know you'll enjoy this story. It full of humor and action packed adventure. I was given this story for a honest review.
I liked this story and the characters, but it felt very rushed to me. Isaac accepted some things about Zax too easily, and I think that the connection between them could have been played up more to explain that.
Isaac is a strong Omega that is respected in his pack, which is a nice change. Zax is an alien general looking for a safe haven and somewhat randomly chooses Isaac's pack lands. It was nice to read about their instant attraction and doubts of whether their relationship could possibly work.

Summary:
Loosing not only your family, but your entire world would be bad enough, but Zac and his Friend Fian found themselves running for their life as their enemies continue to hunt them down. They finally caught a break when they landed on the Green Leaf Territory where Isaac, the pack omega, takes a personal interest in Zac. After loosing everyone he cared for, Zac never expected to find that kind of a bond with someone so different. They may all be shifters, but the differences in technology and the potential threat from their past makes it difficult to make ties. Isaac has always been treated as lowest on his pack, but looks can be deceiving proving that it is always the quiet ones who in the end make the most impact.
This was a wonderful story from the start and I can't wait to read an Alien Alpha's Baby the next book in the Star Crossed Shifters series.
