Rebekkah James was facing her hardest test yet as a Search and Rescue K-9 handler. Seeing age creeping up on her first SAR partner has been harder than anything she had experienced as a handler, and it was happening at the same time as dealing with changes in the Search and Rescue world and the resources being called. The idea of passing the baton to a new puppy seemed disloyal, yet if she wants to continue being a Search and Rescue handler, she needs to take that leap of faith. But does she really want to continue? Or has the world changed enough that it no longer is worth the effort?“K-9 Journey of the Lions” is the author’s fourth novel. While fictionalized, each story shared is a real experience of the author's or of her friends in SAR, and each dog has a real-life counterpart. So, grab a cup of cocoa and a warm blanket, and enjoy the tales from Northern Minnesota.
Another great book. Loved all four books. They were both entertaining and informative. I really enjoyed each one .the lack of one star was the unimportantance of love Benjamin was given particularly in this, the fourth one. Ithe attention to both Benjamins love (and hers) deserved more than 2 or 3 pages. I wasn't looking for a romance story, but both of the characters deserved a little more personal attention to each other.
Thank you for completing Ariel's journey. It made me cry remembering friends I've lost but so important to remember the love and joy we shared through the journey.
I also appreciated that Benjamin and Rebekkah had a happy ending. When friends can become more, especially when their faith brings them together, it us beautiful to witness. Thank you for sharing the journey with your readers.
I recommend to SAR junkies, people who like reading about rural life, law enforcement, inspirational subjects, and dogs. The author borrows heavily from her life as a long-time SAR volunteer and teacher.
