On their way to a party, Kate and Rodney stop on a deserted road to enjoy a rare moment alone*, but in the darkness, terror waits. In the Dead Zone, no cell signal means no help. Kate and Rodney must make a choice: Fight or Die.

(Dead Zone was originally published in the DeadPixel Publications anthology “Terrible Cherubs")
In 2005, I completed my first novel which sits loved but unpublished, in a drawer. I've had numerous non-fiction articles published in the Body, Mind and Soul section of LUX Magazine. VISIONS of WOOL was my first published work of fiction, then along came Concessions, and a little story called The Man Upstairs in a DeadPixels Publication called, Flying Toasters.
My most recent publication is a book of poetry called, Elemental.
This was an entertaining quick read. A retired police officer and his wife, a retired soldier, are heading to a night out but end up making a wrong turn and run into the wrong folks. It would have been nice if it was a bit longer to explore more of the characters. It was very enjoyable as I didn't want to put it down till I finished it.
This is a short story, and while I don’t do spoilers, I’ll say that there are no zombies here. This is definitely a horror story, of the nightmare variety – the kind you hope will never happen to you. Nothing is more frightening than humans. Well-written and chilling.
