I have one cardinal rule in pro football that I never break.
During the season I don’t date.
Until I met Charlotte, I've had no trouble following the rules.

Charlotte Calloway is sweet, caring and the hottest girl I've ever seen. She's also my physical therapist and trainer. And she's entirely off limits.

The trouble is, I didn't know who she was when I met her. And I had no idea we’d be working together. It was her job to keep me healthy, help me recover after games and prepare for the next one, and I showed her a lot more than that.

But after that first passionate night - how can we work together?

The rule says I'm not supposed to date anyone. I'm definitely not supposed to undress Charlotte with my eyes and with my hands every time she clings to me.

Well, too bad.

I don't want to date her. I don't want her in my bed. I want to get back on the field and help my team get to the playoffs.

But in the meantime, I’m in danger of losing my heart to Charlotte Calloway.

And I might be OK with that.

*Sacked has a guaranteed HEA and no cheating! This is a standalone story, but it will be EVEN BETTER if you’ve already read book 1, Tackled: A Football Romance*

The premise of the story grabbed me and followed through with football coming alive on the pages. And I found Parker to be the norm for the NFL quarterback position -- cocky and talented, gorgeous and a sexual god. Charlotte was a fun-to-read character in the role of medical trainer for the team & Parker's "one night stand" from the get-go. The walk of shame hit them both in the face when they arrived for work the next morning. Beyond that, it was so-so and not much different from all the others I've read recently. You know the ones, loads of hot sizzling sex, god-like athletes, insta-love with women they've barely said the word hello - all taking place within 5 pages of the beginning of the book.

Quick read with a bit of fun revisiting characters from the first book in the Alpha Ballers series.

Lucy Snow is a good author. I really like her work. This is the second book that I have read by her and I have to say she did a very good job on this book. If you love or just enjoy football you will love this book. “Sacked” is the second book in the is a book about a football player and a trainer. She takes the story line and makes it work with the characters. She grabs your interest at the beginning of the book and holds it till the end. I recommend this book for mature readers 18 years of age or older because of the explicit sexual content. You will not be disappointed in this standalone book.

Lance Parker has decided that he is going to have his best year ever and will lead his football team The New England Patriots to the Super Bowl. His one Cardinal rule is that he does not date anybody during the season. Well that was until he met Charlotte Calloway at a bar and went home with her. He really likes her and wonders how he is going to keep his Cardinal Rule if he wants to see Charlotte again. Now that he has met her he finds out that this sweet, caring and hot girl is the new physical therapist and trainer for the quarterbacks. That makes her completely and absolutely off limits. When he met her he had not earthly idea that they would be working together. Boy did it put a damper on things.

Charlotte Calloway was so excited to moving to Massachusetts to be closer to her best friend and college buddy, Sandy. She lands this job after searching for 6 months and when she found out that she had job she couldn’t wait to move. This job landed her enough money that she could rent a loft apartment that a tad over budget and not have to worry about paying the monthly lease. Sandy makes her go out on her first night there and Charlotte meets this 6’3” tall, blindingly gorgeous man. After a drink and a dance, she invites him to her place and she could not believe that she was doing this on the first night. She wakes up the next morning after mind blowing sex with him and he is gone. She figures it was just a one-night stand, but she wanted it to be more. When she arrives for her new job she is blindsided when she is introduced to Logan Parker, the quarterback for the New England Patriots. This is going to be a sticky situation.

Now the two of them are wondering how can they work together after that one night of passionate sex? Will Charlotte and Parker go against the rules and continue their romance? Or will Logan stand by his Cardinal Rule and not date at all?

No Spoilers. ARC free book given for honest review.

You too will want to be “Sacked” after reading this book!!

~~~I received an ARC of Sacked by Lucy Snow for an honest review!~~~
Sacked is the second book in the Alpha Ballers series. Sacked is a one night stand turned colleagues romance is an enjoyable, standalone, sports romance with a HEA.
Lance Parker, starting Quarterback for the New England Patriots, has one rule: he doesn't date during the football season. He eats, breathes, and sleeps football during the season, even living at the facility so to be ready to work.
Charlotte Calloway, has just been taken on in her first football season as the Quarterback athletic trainer and physical therapist. She is brand new into town and her friend takes her out to a club the night before she starts her new job. She ends up doing something she never does, a one-night stand. Going into work the next day she soon realizes the uncomfortable situation that she is now in.
There are times when all you do want to do is bang their heads together as you never know if things would be happy or not for them. Charlotte and Lance have a love/hate relationship with lots of witty banter that had me giggling at some points while groaning at the cheesy at others but that's what makes these two characters stand apart from those previously written. You can feel the love building between these characters as they teasingly communicate with each other and at times this leads to hurt feelings and mis-communication but in the end the straight forwardness of them both allows the reader to experience their courtship along with them.
If you are looking for a romance then this book is for you. It is sweet and laugh out loud funny while having a bit of heat (but not too much). Overall, whether you are a sports romance fan or just a romance fan, I recommend you give this book a try!
This is my latest book and I am sure it's my best one yet!
I took all the feedback from Tackled to heart and I really tried to write a heartwarming and witty romance full of sharp dialogue and twists in the story. I really hope everyone who reads it likes it even more than I do.
Now I'll get to work on writing book 3!
Wow
I loved this book more than the first. Lance and Charlotte were so cute. The story was so believable and just fun to read. There were times in the book I thought Lance needed to be slapped but when he finally realized that he loved Charlotte more than football it was sweet. I can't wait to read book 3.
Anyone who's ever had a rule, knows they are meant to be broken. Lance has a HUGE rule - no women or distractions during the season. But then along comes Charlotte and knocks him over. They spend what they think is only one night together, but then run into each other again. Charlotte shows Lance that he can have the focus he needs for football and her too.
This is the second book in Lucy Snow's Alpha Ballers Trilogy Series and takes place in the season after Tackled (book one in the series) takes place. You don't have to have read Tackled to read Sacked but it's certainly nice to update on some of the characters as the series follows the same group of men in the New England Patriot team in the same time period. Drake and Lily whom Book One centres feature in Sacked which was, if you have read Tackled, really nice but again not necessary if you want to read Sacked as a standalone. Personally I would start with Tackled as Lucy's books keep getting better and although I fell in love with Drake and Lily in Tackled, Lance and Charlotte in Sacked have taken over as my favourite Alpha Baller couple!
Sacked centres on Lance Parker, starting Quarterback for the New England Patriots and Charlotte Calloway who has just been taken on in her first football season as the Quarterback athletic trainer and physiotherapist. Unbeknownst to each other, and after a hot, steamy and passionate one night stand, both Lance and Charlotte find they are to work together and so the fun begins. As Charlotte says in the beginning of the book, 'Just looking at him gave me visions of houses and babies and long nights making passionate love to each other'.
Lance Parker's own rule that he doesn't date during the football season places him at risk of losing the woman who makes him want more than the game he has only ever loved but, when an accident occurs that leads Lance to need Charlotte professionally, he realises he needs her personally too. Lucy Snow uses Lance's strong relationships with his football team mates, Drake and Hud (Hudson), to help him realise there's more to life than just the game. Drake calling Lance out during one such conversation stating, 'Being a football robot is cool and all, but once in a while it's good to be a human being, you know', begins Lance's realisation that he really does want more than just the game. If you have read Tackled, you will realise just how different Drake is now that Lily is in his life and he is the man we all fell for at the end of the first book. Lily has her usual flare and it's nice to see Lucy Snow use her sassy to ensure Charlotte is on the right page too regarding her 'relationship' with Lance, using one of my favourite quotes from the book, 'Sometimes you have to go out and hot them with a stick until they realize you mean business'.
Charlotte and Lance have a love/hate relationship with lots of witty banter that had me giggling at some points while groaning at the cheesy at others but that's what makes these two characters stand apart from those previously written. You can feel the love building between these characters as they teasingly communicate with each other and at times this leads to hurt feelings and mis-communication but in the end the straight forwardness of them both allows the reader to experience their courtship along with them.
Lucy Snow excels herself in this book and her own sense of humor clearly comes across the more you read. I think Lucy uses Lily's character as a stand in for herself in this story as Lily teases throughout the book about writing hers and Drakes love story in a book conveniently called 'Tackled' and also hinting that she would write Lance and Charlotte's story.....while Lance hints that 'Someone should write a book about him sometime' in reference to Hud who I am hoping will be the next character Lucy writes about in the Alpha Ballers series. The whole reference to past and future works made me smile as I'm sure Lucy intended!
If you are looking for a romance then this book is for you. It is sweet and laugh out loud funny while having a bit of heat (but not too much). Yes, it's based with a football team and that's how I originally fell onto Lucy Snow's books but it really isn't a heavy sports theme throughout either of the books. It's there in the background but acts as a secondary plot to the romances that are written beautifully throughout the pages. I myself can't wait for the third book in this trilogy and hope that Hudson is the character we follow as he finds his own love - though I have a feeling we may already have hints in Sacked as to who this maybe but I will leave you to decide this for yourselves!
Keep writing Lucy, I'm going to be sad when this trilogy is complete but am excited to see what the future holds and can only hope that I can follow this great author as she continues her great work.
Sports romance where rules sometimes need to be broken to find true love and happiness!
Sacked is the second book in the Alpha Ballers series and is a worthy follow up to the first book, Tackled. This one night stand turned colleagues romance is an enjoyable, standalone, sports romance with a HEA.
Told from dual points of views, we are introduced to Charlotte Callaway and Lance Parker who have an instant attraction to each other at a club. What is expected to just be a one time thing, something Charlotte doesn’t usually do, quickly turns into something more when Charlotte starts her new job in the town she has literally just moved to and finds out just exactly who her one night stand man is after some name deceptions. This love/hate angsty relationship blows hot and cold throughout the book, especially thanks to Lance’s rule, but at the same time you know there is something special brewing too between Charlotte and Lance. However, you do want to bang their heads together as you never could always tell if things would be happy or not for them but the light hearted elements along the way that show showed the developing relationship between them thankfully, on top of some heart to heart moments, with each other and themselves, where they are honest about what is stopping them and the conflicts they are going through. One of my favourite lines from the whole book was, ‘Did I not have a heart for Charlotte to steal?’.
Sacked is a witty yet serious book that is well written. Considering it had a similar theme to Tackled, Sacked was different in it's own way yet had a believability factor to it. I found the book to have mixed paces, starting of quick with their initial meeting, then moved a little slow and then quickened up again. To fully enjoy Sacked you need to be open minded with some situations stretched, and although it works well for the story, those who are sticklers for facts may struggle. Due to the plot of the book, there was a more natural emphasis the relationship compared to Tackled and the dual points of views added a depth to characters personalities and true feelings.
Despite being part of a series, you do not have to have read the previous book to understand this one as each book is a standalone with a HEA. However, for anyone who has read the previous book you get to catch up with some familiar faces which is always nice to see.
Overall, whether you are a sports romance fan or just a romance fan, I recommend you give this book a try!
I'm so loving this series! Which is why I gave it 5/5 rating! I completely devoured this one. Lucy Snow is bringing it, this series is definitely her best work so far and I can't wait to read the 3rd and final romance of this series. It makes me kind of sad that there will only be 3. Hope the next book will be Hud's.
Both main characters were amazing, I really enjoyed reading about Charlotte and Lance, they were both lovely and their chemistry was off the charts, I loved it!
Also loved the fact that the main characters from the previous book were pretty present in this one, hope that happens in the next one too.
I'm not gonna get into the story line because if you want to know you should just read it! For real, check it out if you are a sexy romance lover like me or if you're into sports romances also!
Sacked has a guaranteed HEA and no cheating! This is a standalone story, but it will be EVEN BETTER if you've already read book 1, Tackled: A Football Romance
Sacked is the second book of the Alpha Ballers series.
Lance Parker was the confident, incredibly attractive, and ambitious professional quarterback. Charlotte Calloway was the beautiful, new medical trainer on an NFL team. They were strangers who met in a club looking for one night of random fun before the new NFL season. A season where Lance needed to secure his future as a superstar and Charlotte was starting her new career in a new city. An enjoyable night and the promise of something incredible if circumstances were different; but they weren't, so only one amazing night.
I liked the basis of the storyline as well as both of the characters. I enjoy sports so including the behind the scenes details of the football season was appealing. Additionally, Lance and Charlotte were likable, confident and intelligent. Snow depicted the chemistry well during their first encounter to set the stage for a deep soul mate connection. However, as the story progressed, I lost the connection and couldn't quite see it for the rest of the story until another glimpse at the end. I would have liked for Snow to have gone deeper into the surrounding details, thoughts and past for both Lance and Charlotte throughout the storyline. For me, it would have provided increased depth and substance while making it a more plausible storyline.
I enjoyed the inclusion of the supporting cast of characters with teammates Hud and Oliver as well as the team owner, MacKenzie. I would like to see more supporting characters in future books as well.
All in all, Sacked was an enjoyable and entertaining read. Snow provided a teaser that we may see Hud and MacKenzie in a storyline, but we'll just have to wait and see what's next on the horizon. Whatever is next for the Alpha Baller series, I'm looking forward to it.
SACKED.
Charlotte sacked Lance before he ever hit the field.
Charlotte is a day away from starting her job with the Patriots football team and her BFF talks her into going to a club.
Lance is out with friends before his self imposed lockdown during football season. He's drinking his ginger ale and happily watching his friends pair off and disappear into the crowd. He too, should be looking for his last hookup before tomorrow. After tonight, his sole focus can only be football 24/7 for the next five to six months.
It seems that Charlotte and Lance (known to Charlotte as Parker) were destined to hit the sack early after all. Together.
Lance leaves a sleeping Charlotte to get ready for the first day of the new season.
Charlotte awakens to an empty bed and she's off to the first day of her new job as a trainer.
Needless to say it was a bit of a surprise for them to meet again in a professional capacity.
Keeping things professional and not personal at the same time, you know that's not going to happen, right?
This story had me reading long into the night to get through to their HEA. Was it worth it? Oh heck yeah!
Hot sex, angst, and HEA.
Loved Charlotte and Lance's story and cannot wait to see more of them. Hint, hint.
Sleep is for readers who have yet to find Lucy Snow's sheet-scorching football romances.
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review. Now, pass me a Parker I need to hit the sack.
This is the second book in the series to reference Lance Parker and Charlotte Calloway insta-attraction and dual angst relationship. Lance is a very complex alpha-male, deep with a set of ritual during football season. Charlotte is a very talented, strong-willed young lady, who moved to Massachusetts to start a new job with the Patriots as a trainer and physical therapist. Her first night in town, she is coaxed by her BBF ( Sandy) into going out to a club and once there she sees Lance and it's immediately attraction for a one-night rumble and then slumber. The next morning Charlotte awaken to an empty bed, prepares for her first day on her new job and suddenly surprise, surprise, surprise, her one-night stand end up being the main attraction (Patriot's quarterback) Lance. The author writing definitely have a unique smooth style which flows and the words grabs your attention. I love the characters and how everyone came together because it wasn't easy for Lance to keeping things professional and not personal at the same time. The storyline was great with the similar plot as Tackled but the characters felt more real. Overall, an amazing sport romance every reader should tackle:) KUDOS to you Lucy, I love it!!
Sacked is book 2 in The Alpha Ballers series. After being tackled, I was looking forward to being sacked. While reading, you will laugh out loud, want to shake some people, and throat punch others. In Tackled, we learn what took place during the pre-season. In Sacked, we will cheer for the Patriots as the football season starts and they try to make it to the playoffs.
This is the story of Lance and Charlotte. Lance is the quarterback for the New England Patriots. And Charlotte is the new physical therapist for the team. But neither of them know that when they first meet and decide to share a night of hot sweaty fun. It is obvious that they have an connection but Lance has rules during the football season. And for him rules are not meant to be broken. Well that is until something happens and Charlotte is there. But for how long…..
What I liked about this story is that not only do you find yourself rooting for the Patriots which just happen to be my favorite team in the NFL but you also will yell at your kindle hoping that Lance hears you saying that he can have football and love in his life at the same if he has the right girl which is Charlotte.
I hope Hud’s story is next. He seems to be a big goofball with an even bigger heart. Can’t wait to see what is in store for him.
Thank you Lucy for the ARC!!!
Sacked is a hot, alpha male sports book that will leave you wanting more!
Lance Parker was introduced in Tackled. Sacked is book 2 & takes you on a journey of Lance & Charlotte.
Lance is the starting QB for the Patriots & is very focused on football. He has very specific rules about his life during the season. It's pretty simple(or at least it's always been)....Football---eat, sleep, drink it, no dating, no social life, no partying. After season is the time for that. The rule has been a breeze until the last night of off season when he meets Charlotte.
Charlotte moved to Boston with her BFF for a new job as a physical therapist & trainer. Night one in town, she and her BFF go out & she meets Parker. Sparks fly, clothes fly, & the next morning, Parker has flown. Imagine her surprise when she shows up at the Patriots's facility & discovers that she will be working with Lance Parker (who just happens to be her Parker from the previous night).
Now the question is.....Can Lance break his own rule to be with Charlotte? Can Charlotte wait on Parker to figure that out?
Like Tackled, Sacked gives a HEA. It also references Drake & Lily & gives a glimpse into new characters. I love this series and look forward to more!!!
ARC copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Sacked is the second book in Lucy Snow's Alpha Ballers series. In the first book we met Lace Parker starting quarterback for the New England Patriots. He is a serious guy who devotes his whole life (literally) to football during the season. He has a serious case of tunnel vision. He doesn't date, lives at the facility, and eats, sleeps, and breathes it. On his last night of freedom before the season begins he meets Charlotte at a club and has a one night stand. I'm not gonna give anymore away, just read it! I loved these two characters. Charlotte's inner dialogue is hysterical and I liked her right away. I also loved the easy banter between the two. There was just something about these two characters that made you relate to them and love them. I hate to say it because I loved the first book, but I felt more of a connection to Lance and Charlotte then Drake and Lily. Speaking of the first book, I liked how Lucy Snow had Lily make a reference to Tackled and it making Amazon's top 100 list! It was cute and a nice way to celebrate with her fans! I have a feeling Sacked might pass by Tackled on that list! All in all this is a well written book and I throughly enjoyed reading it!
WOW what a wonderful book! I really loved it! The story is based around two main characters who are just perfect for each other...
Lance is the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots. He's gorgeous and can have his pick of women, but during football season his lives like a 'monk'! Alone and single with only 'the game' in his sights!... Until he meets Charlotte!!!
Charlotte has just moved to begin a new job. With the help of her old college buddy Sandy, she's settled in and ready to party her first night in town. In the club she meets Lance and her life takes on another new direction!!!
Neither realize that they are now both working for the Patriots, Charlotte is the quarterback trainer and physical therapist... Much to each others shock!!!
With Lance's season rule, and Charlotte not wanting to be second best... Can they make a relationship work? Will it become too much? Can they overcome everything and get their HEA?
It's a lovely story, one that begins as a one night stand... And leads to 'more'
It's a one sitting read that i totally loved with just the right amount of everything needed to make a perfect read!!!
Not sure what to think of Sacked. I enjoyed their characters of Charlotte and Lance. But wasn't so sure on the story. It felt predictable and in some place it felt dragged. On the plus side i really enjoyed the banter between Lance and Charlotte as that was mostly the best parts of the story. It is an enjoyable read.
Lance is mainly an honest guy who is set in his ways. Enjoys the sport he plays and his team mates. Known to them as a football monk. I would say he is a bit childish as he is like no we can't do this im sorry. Then does it again. Other then that he is a decent guy and quite nice compared to your standed bad boy.
Charlotte is very witty with her words and come backs. Smart, kind and caring Charlotte is going through a huge life change by moving to a new town and starting a new job.
Not sure if this is my type of story as i couldnt get into it plus i dont normally read football romance ever. It was good that the football part didnt take over the story completey but in some of the story i did want to smack Lance and Charlotte.
I received this for my honest review.The story is based around two main characters who seem to be perfect for each other, Lance is the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots, He is stunningly gorgeous and can have his pick of women but during football season his rule is he lives like a 'monk', alone and single with only 'the game' in his sights no distractions well that is until he meets Charlotte.....
Charlotte has just moved to start a new job, with the help of her old college friend Sandy, she doesn't even get settled in before she is taken to a party on her first night in town and this is where she meets Lance and her life takes on another new direction with plenty of surprises.
None of them realize that they are now both working for the Patriots, Charlotte is the quarterback' physical therapist. With Lance's season rule and Charlotte not wanting to be second best can they make a relationship work or will it become too much. Maybe they can overcome everything and get their wishes, it is a lovely story, one that begins as a one night stand. It had just the right amount of everything needed to make a perfect read and you still want more.......
The basic premise was good but then it was just ridiculously unrealistic as it got into the story. A nurse gets employed to work with a pro football team on their quaterback no less, with no experience or interest in the game. No apparent rehab or physical therapy is provided to Lance once he received his injury and 3wks later is still mostly on bed rest and when he's caught out on the field throwing the ball around which he shouldn't be she indulgently smiles at him and doesn't get much more of a told you so once he subsequently reinjures himself! Just hours after injuring himself one of his best friends on the team comes to see him but the main focus is him potentially falling in love with the nurse who he really hasn't seem him interact with at all! Sorry I don't buy it, this is not the way professional athletes or training staff would behave. The initial meeting and seeing each other the next day was cute though.
Awesome! Better than the first book, which you don't need to read first but makes this book more enjoyable if you do. Once I started Sacked I couldn't put it down. There were parts that were hilarious-especially the cheekiness about writing a romance novel about their relationships (not just Lance and Charlotte but Drake's commentary about Lily's version of their romance in book one and what's to come in book three). Also the quips about the different football team being played was great, especially if you're into football and know which teams suck and which are great opponents. Overall this book was a lot of fun to read and it ended too soon (with no epilogue either so hopefully we'll see more of Lance and Charlotte in the next book).
I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. I can't wait to read the next book in Lucy Stone's Alpha Baller's series.
I really enjoyed this story! Charlotte and Lance are great. We get to meet Lance in the previous book in the series but this book is a standalone and you don't need to read the first one to fully enjoy this one. I love the interactions and word play between Charlotte and Lance. They are both sarcastic people and love to play on words and their conversations are full of it. The sex is explicit, but not super frequent. Lance has a major knee injury for a lot of the story. Lance has gotten stuck on his rule and so Charlotte and Lance are trying to stay away from a relationship but the feelings are there and they won't go away. It causes some problems and they have to deal with them. I thought it was well done and enjoyed the byplay between the characters. This story is a good mix between football and relationship and I really liked it. I read it in one sitting and am excited to read the next book.
Lance, the quarterback of the Patriots, has one night of freedom before his self-imposed lock down for the football season. One last night out with his friends, where he meets a gorgeous stranger who he finds out is Charlotte. After an incredible night together he leaves, ready to start the season. Charlotte wakes to an empty bed and a mind full of memories, ready to start her new job with the Patriots training team. She finds out she will be helping out the quarterbacks, including the man from the night before, Lance. When Lance gets hurt and is stuck on the sidelines he realizes there is more to life and Charlotte is part of that. Their story doesn't come easy, but it is great! I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was the first time of read a Lucy Snow story, I thought it it was well written. I started reading it and never but it down till I finished the story. This story is about Charlotte who has just moved to begin a new job. With the help of her old college buddy Sandy, she's settled in and ready to party her first night in town. In the club she meets Lance and her life takes on another new direction!!!
Neither realize that they are now both working for the Patriots, Charlotte is the quarterback trainer and physical therapist... Much to each others shock!!! Oh Lance just happens to be the quarter back. But with ups and downs they might just work there different to have a happy ending. I was given Sacked: A Football Romance for a honest review.
Annoying h says incredibly dumb stuff. Banter between H & h is repeatedly awful.
“You feel amazing inside me, Parker.”
“I was going to say almost but not quite the same thing.”
“Good, cause that would be a little weird.”
Parker wrinkled his nose at me. “You’re a little weird.”
“Shut up. Jerk.”
“Already with the name calling.” He sighed, mock exasperated.
“You’ve earned it.”
“Well, what do we do now?”
“I guess we keep having sex?”
“A little high maintenance, aren’t you? Making demands like that so soon?”
I reached up and punched him in the arm. “That was mean.” But I was smiling the entire time.
“You’ve got a mean right hook over there, young lady.”
“Shut up and kiss me again.”
“If you insist.”
...this convo during their first time having sex...
I couldn't wait to read Lance's story. Lance doesn't want any distractions so he swears off woman for 5 months while he is playing football but he goes out with his team and everything changes when he sees Charlotte. The connection is there and they have a night they never forget but Lance keeps to himself that he is a starting quarterback. Lance doesn't want to leave but has to stay focused. They get the shock when Charlotte is the new personal trainer and they must work together. Fighting their feelings for each other is hard, can Lance finally let someone in? I liked this better then the first book. Love the characters and really great story
Whew....QB' s are the ultimate smoking athlete and to read a romance that puts you behind the scenes where the stress is unbelievable and pain a part of life is riveting. Isn't being at the pinnacle of your chosen field always supposed to be glamorous?? To read the strength and determination to lead a team, rehabilitate an injury and convince a strong woman that you are her "one" made this book so intense and I couldn't put it down till it's conclusion because I kept turning the page to find out what happened next! This is what escaping into a book is all about! Scorching intimacy and sassy dialogue make book 2 smokin'!!
I was given an ARC for an honest review. Sacked is a fun read with humor, steamy hot sex and enough drama to keep it interesting. Lance a quarter back and Charlotte a physical therapist meet and have what is supposed to be a one night stand. They find out the next day that they will be working closely together... I don't want to ruin it. I highly recommend this book.
Lucy Snow you did an amazing job.
Loved it just as much as the first book cant wait to read the final book in this trilogy. Author really gives you an in depth look into the feelings swirling around a focused QB fighting for his job. Loved how they were introduced and never thought they would see each other again ...then the morning after happened. The ending was too abrupt though. I felt the author could have made a better transition into the ending
Although I haven't read many sport romance this was a enjoyable read. It's was really entertaining and held my attention from beginning to end. I like the chemistry between Lance and Charlotte even though they could be juvenile at times but the back and fourth banter between them was pretty hilarious. Overall a good read can't wait to see what going to happen next. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
