Why would a sixteen-year-old want to burn down her high school? To mercurial Amy Westin, the answer seemed obvious: because so much good would come from it. Born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, Lee Stone made Alaska home for over thirty years. Now residing in Delray Beach, Florida, he began writing in 2014. His initial four books fall into three separate genres: Slacker Mills Mysteries, the coming-of-age adventure of teenager Amy Westin, and the fantasy tale of an old golfer.

Stone's storytelling is unique in both its originality and awareness that both good and bad reside in everyone, a hero and a villain, a savant and a stooge. Only the degree and deployment of each set us apart.

That philosophy is on full display in Stone's new release, "The Student Council." Early reviews have stamped young Amy Westin as "intriguing and unforgettable."

Stone is also known in South Florida for his unique sand creations. Samples of his sand play can be viewed on Facebook under Delray Beach Sand or under Lee Stone Sand on youtube.

I absolutely loved this story. Absorbing plot, excellent writing, and wonderfully developed characters. Amy, the main character, is so inventive that she might be my favorite character of any book I have read in recent years. This is just one really good book.

This is a fantastic book. The central character is as dynamic a female character as I have ever read. I think comparisons to Tris Prior or Katniss Everdeen are inevitable, but Amy Westin is much more dynamic. I'd compare her to Michael Corelone, of The Godfather fame, for many reasons. Family and business come first and foremost and sometimes difficult decisions need to be made... but it's just business.

The writing is first-rate - clean, quick and smart. The characters are both memorable for their quirks and human frailties. Chapter 28 jumps out as one of the more memorable passages I have ever read and through the growth of Amy Westin, you're in for a finish you won't soon forget. 5/5 enjoy!

This book is an absolute gem. I enjoyed reading it, getting to know the characters, and before I even realized it, I was totally engrossed and what an amazing finish! There is a LOT going on in these pages and great depth to the story. Each side story is interesting, none moreso than the take on modern education. Roger Cooper and the Australian accent - that's darn funny, because it's so totally true... and this particular love triangle - I can't say I've ever come across one quite like that! Each character is interesting, but Amy Westin is flat out memorable. A previous review pegged her as the female Michael Corleone, and I think that is spot on. The writing is top-shelf. Let the debate begin on who should play Amy in the movie!

I was asked to read The Student Council and provide an honest review. This was NOT what I expected! As a teacher, I expected some sort of “high school drama” story; I was so wrong. Don’t get me wrong; the setting is in a high school and there IS drama, but it’s definitely NOT of the “high school” variety!

As a teacher, it was hard for me to read this without cringing just a little, as there were so many rules broken, by the teacher! And the description of how things worked within the administration was as fiction as it could get. Having said that; it was so entertaining! I’m sure it would have been extremely boring if all the rules were followed, and the inner workings of administration were accurate. Seriously; who wants to read about boring meetings all day!

I absolutely LOVED the main character, Amy, and all her friends. Her parents, and Trish, could have used a good beating from the “morals mallet,” but again, it was extremely entertaining. I would even say it was comical at times.

The dramatic suspense gives readers several twists. Oh my! I can’t say much without spoilers, but I can say I recommend it, regardless of your favorite genre.

The only negatives were; I think it would have been better if I didn’t find out about Trish until Amy did, and the ending was quick and a little strange. I still enjoyed it, and rate it with 4 Boundless Stars....Beth

Mind blown! If you're looking for a book that you won't be able to put down, this is it. The story is unlike any other that I've read, and you find yourself rooting for Amy to succeed - but questioning if you really should! You get lost in the story for sure.
