After fleeing the TC Genetic Manipulation Lab, Kellan never expected to meet a man like Neil, who accepted him as he was, and quickly fell in love with him. In an effort to live a life as normal as possible, Neil and Kellan put their trust in an informant within the government who insists they vacate the secluded lighthouse in Traverse City, Michigan and head west to a GM Lab in Arizona. On their flight across the country, they surrender to the yearnings of the heart, to the passion that burns like a hungry fire, and their romance spirals in and out of chaos while caught up in the anarchy of being on the run. Perils they weren’t expecting get in the way, bringing uncertainty to riveting levels with almost every move they make. Kellan knows danger surrounds them—the same threat that once hunted him and still haunts his mind. Could Kellan and Neil’s strengthening bond be their saving grace from the malevolent forces that are trailing them? Soon after their arrival at AZ GM Laboratory, Kellan submits to a deal between him and the government, one that seems to promise him peace of mind and the life with Neil he longs for. In exchange, he must first adhere to the task laid out for him, even though doubts of trusting those guiding him is reason to suspect there’s more at stake than what he’s being told. Take a fast flying journey with a magnificent angel and his newfound love, Neil, in this sequel to the best-selling novel, Take To The Sky.
I would not usually read a book where one of the main characters was born in a laboratory with the ability to fly yet what a talented writer Gregory Jonathan Scott is, I can't recommend this book highly enough.
I reread Take To The Sky, and just fell in love with the characters all over again. The writing was just stunning the emotion really flows from these books and soaks the reader connecting you with the characters on such a powerful level. Neil and Kellan, blew me away throughout with their love and trust for each other even though the odds were truly against them. I don't want to give anything away as you need to experience these books and every heart wrenching moment for yourself but wow, what an ending I certainly did not see that coming! Some books stay with you invoking a passion for their characters, leaving you wanting more.. this is certainly one of them. A truly breath taking original story.
Kellan and Neil are a fantastic couple. The love and passion they they have for one another is magical. I can't even begin to describe this sequel without giving to much away. Kellan is a military created angel that's breathtaking and Neil is head over heels in love with him. Kellan escaped TC with Neil and Dylan(Neil's dog) and had been hiding out in an old lighthouse. Seth, the man that raised Kellan, starts communicating to them and informs them of Kaleb. Kaleb is Kellans son but no one seems to know where he is. Then there is the black winged bat/bird from hell who tries to take out Kellan. They escape but have to work with the government to capture this creature and in turn is promised a life as a family in a secluded area and will get Kaleb with them. I can not say anymore except the author had me happy, joyous, angry at times, scared and in the end, crying from such emotion.
I found myself encased in warm comforting wings while reading this second book.' It was what I needed, the whole story started off where Take To The Sky left off. These gorgeous men who love each other unconditionally have to find a safe place for them-selves to live their life together . Their love knows no bounds and any-place is good as long as its flat! ..... there is such a lovely humour flowing through the series which , apparently I was chuckling about out loud! The words flowed easily I was caught up with Kellan and Neil and don't forget Dylan , Neil's dog .... With the easy way the book reads and the description of everything it is easily to believe that your flying with them. Great work Greg.. Written as Pat Jay
