RAINY DAY KIND OF BOOK. REALLY CUTE. THIS IS THE THREE BOOK IN THE SERIES AND I HAVE ENJOYED THEM ALL. HAPPY AND FUNNY BUT STILL HAS A WHO DONE IT FLAVOR TO IT.
Having read this series from the beginning I've gotten to know Harley and her friends. Our feisty thief has become quite the sleuth solving murders and tackling bad guys. Her personal life has changed drastically from a loner with no family to having found her brother and her parents whom she thought were dead, and connecting romantically with Cole. Always in the right place at the right time Harley catches another murder case while working security for a beauty salon during a celebrity event. Harley has matured as a detective and her skills are sharp as ever. See if you can solve the murder before Harley, the clues are dropped with subtlety but can be collected for the answer. As part of Chase's review team I received an early copy for my review.
Murder in the Salon is the kind of story rainy days were meant for. Just curl up in a big chair with a cup of cocoa & of course as Harley would say more marshmallows. Harley is a very competent investigator, not the typical cozy mystery amateur sleuth who always just happens to solve the mystery by sheer luck. She & her BF ex cop turned P.I. are a great couple & it's fun to watch their relationship evolve. There are plenty of oddball characters to assist in their crazy adventures. I love this series!
I'm really loving this series Harley, Cole, Cordi, Michael and everyone else are back for more sleuthing, mystery and murder along with some action adventure and a few laughs this was a really enjoyable read.
Harley and Cole are such a great couple. I enjoy their sleuthing. Aunt Maggie, Cordi and Michael are fun too. Aunt Maggie's delicious desserts are mouth-watering!
Much better than last two entries. Harley and Cole are working security for a local event. A reality star singer is getting a haircut with lots of paparazzi. The blowdryer chair shorts out and she dies. The management company hires Harley to investigate but then obstructs. Of course she doesn't take lightly and ignores the threats to her safety she receives. Oh and they are house hunting including with a crazy Russian. Mystery was better developed and personal things back to making sense.
Now that The Silvers and Hill finder's adgency has become famous. Harley and Cole have been hired to protect a new starlet from the paparazzi at an event in a swanky salon. When she is fried in the hair dryer , Harley is the hired by the starlet's agency to prove it was an accident. Meanwhile Harley and Cole are looking for a place of their own. They find one but something is fishy . Great read. Kennedy never fails to give us a good read and a fun time.
I like the fact it's published independently and I think we need to support authors who are brave enough to do that. I believe the author is American, but the book is set in England. There's a big disconnect between the speech of the main characters and their supposed English background - did make me giggle a few times - but the story itself is good and pacy, with lots of humour throughout. A fun read.
This book was so interesting and fun to read that I could hardly put it down. I would definitely tell others about the fun and laughs that await them in this book.
Harley and gang just keep getting better. Her relationship with Cole is growing with a few minor bumps but I like that they handle it with maturity and work it out. The mystery is always good and will have you guessing til the end. I love Harley and can't wait to read more!
I must say this one was a letdown. It was pretty apparent who the killer was. There was a huge build up and then the mystery was solved abruptly. I was hoping the author will put a different angle to it, but that didn't happen. The second star is just for the funny bits in the book.
Another great book in the series, read in 1 sitting as I coulldn't put it down. What with finding somewhere to live and a singers death, Harley and Cole are stretched, n I t so much of Cordi and Michael in this book but the octagenerian hacker makes an appearance, as do Monty and Max of course! Looking forward to the next book.
The mystery was a little hard to follow and was downplayed throughout the storyline. The second book in the series was my favorite. Still love Kennedy and the Harley Hill books.
I enjoyed reading all this series with Harley. She is full of life and desire to see that justice is done. I also like all the off the wall friends she collects
