Nonie’s life seems to be what most envy. She’s beautiful, smart, and owns her own party planning business with her best friend. However, that’s on the outside looking in. What most don't know is that she’s in love with a man who might possibly never love her back. Yosiah O’day is everyone’s dream. He’s basically has it all, looks personality, and an empire that he runs in a way that keeps his bank accounts laced and his adversaries envious. All of these things make him the star of every woman's dreams. Unfortunately, Yosiah isn't really capable of love, so he doesn’t commit. The closest that he has ever gotten to that is with Nonie. It's nothing for him to drop everything for her, and he will give her anything she asks for, with the exception of the one thing she wants the most, his heart. Kizzie is trying to have the best of both worlds. She’s in love with her boyfriend, Red, but in lust with her longtime fling, Jock. The balancing act is starting to get complicated, especially since Jock wants more from her than his secret weekly visits. Kizzie just can't seem to figure out who she wants the most. Red is stability and Jock is danger. Unfortunately, it might not be her choice to make because the line is being drawn and Kizzie will have to choose a side or Jock will choose for her. Running things side by side with Yosiah, Jock has enough on his plate, but Kizzie insists on complicating his life with her indecisiveness about their so called relationship. If he hears her say that he’s not her man one more time, he’s going to show her exactly what that really means. Problem is, she has him so wrapped up that he doesn't really know if he can truly let her go. What makes it worse is that he knows her man isn't worth the time she puts into him, but he can't be the one to tell her. Caught between what they want and what they need is truly making life complicated for these four. Add in the enemies who are lurking in the background and you have a twisted tale of love and war. Find out how it all turns out when they hit the battle field to square up and face off.

I don't know where to start with this one. Even though I like Siah I can see why Nonie doing thing the way she is. Even though I hope they get it together. Kizzie and Jock I like them but I'm need Kizzie to get it together.
The relationship with Siah and Nonie was off mainly because it was already in place and in a messed up way at that. You don’t really get to know the characters so it’s hard trying to connect with them and what they’re going through. She seemed like a pushover who was willing to let whatever happen as long as she got some attention from Siah. He came off as being a whore who just wanted to mess around because that’s what he grew up around.
Then again their relationship seemed like it could’ve worked if they both stop playing around and acting like they didn’t want each other. The issue with the cousin was kind of left field because if the two were as hot-headed as they are portrayed then they should’ve been hashed out their differences. Not in a rush to read the next one because it really wasn’t enough there to really care about what’s going on.
This had me straight out the gate. These couples had plenty of drama. It's clear that Yosiah loves Nonie but is afraid. Kizzie and Jock are the opposite it's Kizzie that is afraid.
I like the story but I really didn't like Siah. He don't know how to treat women. If you can't commit to someone then leave them alone. But Nonie's a grown woman and shouldn't take that type of treatment. Kizzie wants to have it her way and may end up alone. I need to know the family secret between Siah and Laken's fathers that's got them feuding. Is it that serious to have them wanting to kill each other? I like all this drama so I will be reading the next part.
This book is about character's named Siah and Nonie going through everyday life as business people and drug dealer's.With lots of plot twist & turns this is a goodread. People who likes mystery & crazy cliffhangers this is your book. This was a great book. The author kept twisting & making you wanna keep reading & reading. The chapters were great in length,The characters were great & believable & realistic. One thing I would change is the ending. It was a pretty great cliff hanger & it was too good just to end the book like it. OVERALL great book highly suggest to read it.
When I tell you that this author right here got skills....KC MILLS GOT SKILLS! I have yet to read a bad book from her. She is now proving that maybe five stars is not enough her books alone. Yeah! She needs a rating for her own. This book was another banger...loved it! It had my attention from start til finish. Storyline was great, characters were great! Love me my Siah and Jock!...just loved everything! Congrats again on another banger KC MILLS!
This was a story that moved at such a fast pace that you don't get a dull moment. There is something going on all the time that you want a moment were you just want the characters to do something normal.I like that the writer gives you a story that makes it seem so real that you think hey I know these people.Overall this was good reading with quite a few twist and turns.
Great read ended to quickly but the storyline was cool. Nonie and her bff kizzie have their hands full with siah and jock. Nonie and siah are together but still not really together confusing but they make it work. Siah is a piece of work am crazy but he loves Nonie just afraid to explore it. Kizzie is in love with 2 men but will she pick the right one. Laken stirs up a lot of trouble but nonie nosiness gets her more than she needed to know. Need part 2 Asap
All that I can say is that K. C. Mills has done it again with this one. Nonie needs to get her act together, before I take Siah for myself. The same goes for Kizzie with Jock. If she doesn't want him, I will be glad to take him. Laken needs to get ghost, I'm so over him and his mess. K. C. Mills, please don't make me wait too long for part 2.
Josiah and Nonie is meant for each other but the fear of losing love is so embedded in Siah he can't be faithful the lost of his mother at his birth has stunned his emotional growth....In come Laken after his crown and his girl ,with deeper ties to Siah then he knows...Lawd help this dumb girl make up her mind Jock is in love and so us she great read....
Man this book was a page turner. What is soon funny is how damaged Siah is about women but it is so clear to everyone that he loves her. He is starting to be faithful without even realizing it. I hope he gets his ish together before it's too late. Her girl is all kinds of confused she's stuck on stupid. Jock will move on if she don't get it together
Mrs.Mills never disappoints me. Once again she delivers a 5 star book. Nonie and Kizzie are really irking my nerves but I have faith they'll get together in part 2
Wow what an ending. All he!! going to break loose in part 2. I'm patiently waiting for it. I feel sorry for Laken and Red. I got a feeling that those two are going to link up and try and take Siah and Jock out. They're not having it.
Now this book fit the title! I really like this author! I liked the characters and definitely the storyline! My only problem is this book wasn't long enough and I have to wait for the next book. I do recommend.
This book really was not it and I've heard so many good things about this author. The editing was horrible and the storyline seemed rushed and every character in the book was basically dumb and confused and very boring I won't be reading part 2 I would give this book a 2.5
I am loving me some Siah and Jock. Nonie and Kizzie are some bad bitches. The heat between Siah and Nonie is off the charts. Kizzie and Jock ain't far behind either. I need pt 2asap.
Reviews are so misleading. This was not that good. Nonie and Kizzie are not very bright. They are letting these guys looks and their vaginas rule their decisions. Same ol same.
Siah needs to get his head right. Nonie is playing with fire by entertaining Laken. Kizzie and Jock could be good together. That's if she'd quit playing games with Jock's heart. Red is crazy and she's underestimating him. She better tell Jock.
