Trinket is finally settled into her pretty cottage - now if she could only get rid of the big…strong…very masculine but very annoying Angelo, life would be just about perfect. The problem is that until she can find the spell to break their magical bond, she’s married to him, for better or worse. Mostly worse.
If only that was her biggest problem.
It just so happens that the one man who can break their bond is very dead, and Rain is missing. Is the teen involved with the murder, or is her disappearance just a scary coincidence? Suddenly, having Angelo around to help isn’t such a bad idea after all.
This ebook is a paranormal mystery, and the final book in the Jagged Grove series.
Not my favourite in the series. She is still trying to get out of the bond that has been formed between her and Angelo. Now Rain has gone missing and her scrying places her in the human world. How did she get there? Who is she with? She gets a break by learning who can break her bond and also might know where Rain is. Unfortunately all she finds is his dead body. Then a real surprise when she stumbled upon her BFF from the human realm. Can she get Rain home? Find out the killer? Find the person behind the illegal visits by non-magical people and come to terms with her relationship with Angelo? This book felt slightly out of phase with the other books, maybe it should have come under a different title - Peace in Jagged Grove.
I loved everything about this book and series except the end. It would be good to have four more. Maybe focus on a different character and how they came to the island, what they left behind and view if Trinket from their eyes.
I have read all four in this series and found it to be fun and original. The characters are lively and the storyline is fast moving. I would recommend them to eberyone
Continuing on in the series Trinket is 100% ready to break the bond with Angelo....until the end of this book when they learn they do work together well and Jones starts to move on and Trinket is reunited with an old friend from the mainland and yadda yadda. Trinket is a little less bratty in this book which is a MIRACLE. She still runs off and does dumb things every once and again but I guess it really must have been Jones who brought out the true brat in her. Angelo is better for her, I hate to say. I still like Jones more. But anyway. This book wasn't quite as illusive but it was less obnoxious.
I truly enjoy this series. I mean, what's not to love? Magic, action, murder, & romance all in one book! Trinket & Angelo are a great couple even though Trinket keeps fighting it.
This was a fun and cozy series. I got quite frustrated with some of the editing, 4 sisters / 3 sisters and whether Louise existed or not as an aunt. Trinket was well written as was Jones and Angelo. Bilda was pretty frustrating to read and came accross as a bit bipolar, but Rain and Glade were fun and in the whole I really enjoyed the series. Happy to read more if it appears!
